Too small of a car, too low, 180 hp is crap.
@@ACommenterOnRUclips 180hp is fine when the car weighs nothing.
“All new taillights” that Subaru has had on the wrx for the past 2 years🤣
I didnt know scion died off. Such a shame, one of the best brands on the market. At least toyota incorporated it into their normal selection.
Scion was meant to capture the younger people's mind. It was only in America for that very reason, rather than have toyota they thought scion would stand out more and attract more attention.
The FRS is literally the 86 just with a scion badge instead of toyota, and FRS on the boot. Was looking for someone that pointed out his mistake, right at the start of the video he says FRS became the gt86, when reality is they existed at the same time, actually pretty sure FRS came out just after. I mean the FRS even have the 86 badge on the side (older models)
Good luck with that 28k, dealership are marking these up like they fast 😅
Here in my country, this car cost 68k
Yeah u wont get one in Australia for $28k unless an older model.
My GTS86 manual was bargain at $38k (2014) the traded in another car to reduce. Was awesome sound and fun. Looked much better inside too in comparison to this model) 😮💨
Man $50k at mine
Instructions unclear, bought military grade G36
My 2005 Honda accord had more hp...
My kia has more H.P. Than this.
Too bad hp doesn't make a car fun
@@matthewgonano636 You must love slow cars then 😆
@@Cologne_Trooper Unironically? I'm pretty sure a lot of people do. Would be nice to be able to get it as a starter car, it'd work fine that way, but it's $28k. Ah well, it's the great modern car paradox, one of life's greatest mysteries
@@Cologne_Trooper this car’s for twisty roads. A 1 million horsepower car is wasted and useless if it’s just gonna keep slowing down to turn at every single hairpin.
It's primarily a Subie, as you can tell by the rear lights.
Those cars have a lot of potential and look amazing

THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THING IVE EVER FUCKING READ 💀💀🎎
If you’re reading this Jesus Christ loves you unconditionally and He will never leave you 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛.
"Most fun you can have for under 30k" 🧢🧢 cocaine and strippers beg to differ
Since it’s a Subaru boxer, these are great for mods. But it will take a lot of supporting mods before you can actually make good power. The oil system, cooling system, and heads(not the gaskets) will fail first under serious modifications. Good brands to fix these would probably be IAG, killer b, and CSF
You could also buy a used Alfa Romeo Giulia for about that same price. Get 280 HP 309 TQ to either the rear wheels or AWD. Alfa is known for it's driving dynamics. You also leather and a bunch of other cool tech. Only downside is that in the US the Giulia is auto only. It's a damn good auto though.
I love your reviews! Keep the good work, my man!
Dude this is what I've been wanting. Light weight (ish) RWD coupe that makes a decent bit of power, 6 speed manual, and an LSD. Imma have a lot of fun on the touge
1200 kg isn't light enough for ya?
I mean you can get a super clean e46 m3 with apple CarPlay, 105 more ponies, and every major issue is resolved with the car, upgrade the muffler and intake and it will sound like a beast, probably comes with those mods with 30k imo, mine came it with it at half the price
A Mazda Miata is pretty damn fun, let's take both down a curvy road.
The "meh" 😂
That digital gauge cluster animation looks like it was made in PowerPoint
Subaru and toyota are best friends now cause those look like taillights off the new wrx as well as subarus boxer engine, also the FRS, gt86 were around at the same time as well as a subaru BRZ which were almost identical to each other
Cause it's the same car haha, toyota owns Subaru. They collabed on a car together to get back into the cheap affordable sports car range. They use the same engine, same body shape etc, but have a few slight differences
when mass produced sporty cars dont actually cost that much more to make, most manufactures charge a significant premium
GR86 MENTIONED!!! I’m getting mine tomorrow as well!!!
Instantly subscribed, 5/5 shorthand review.
I'd love to see a mustang ecoboost compared to this. Sports cars for in the 25000-30000 range.
They look even better in person.
Bruh this sounds like a dream car.
Man this car will look sick in black
Perfect car choice for Tofu.
Man you got a little driving skills
Chirping the tires a bit 👍🏾😎
On Point bro, no one on Forest Level YaaaDiiiiG
love to see the return of the actual E brake rather than the electric parking break thats on a lot of cars these days, cus lets not lie the physical E brake is cooler and more functional
Most fun in a NEW car you can have under 30k
I bet we all ignored the drifting part and just listened for the engine. To see if it sounds good.
Toyota, you won me over the manual gearbox and an actual handbrake 😁!!
Scion FR-S was a North America only brand and model. The GT86 is a European model. In Japan, it has always been called the Toyota 86. When Scion was reabsorbed by Toyota, the FR-S was given its true name, 86, which is why if you look at the 86 in North America, it’s badged the 86, not GT86 in Europe. “GT” is a sub model of the 86 in both North America and Japan.
Thank you so much for not mentioning the Subaru BRZ! Its basicly a twin but with better lines, nicer interior and because its sales numbers are so much lower. a harder car to spot....
Man the US is truly blessed with their carprices..
Rivington in this car be like: Yo, it's a drift car, bro! Let me drift the hairpin.
I went to Thailand in my early 20s. Cost a few grand for everything.
No Toyota will ever match the fun I had for those 4 weeks.
Him: this is the most fun you can have for under 30k
Dealerships : and I took that personally
From Toyota FT86 -> Scion FRS -> Toyota GR86 with a boxer engine from Subaru and replaces the Celica. It's a fun car. Except it went from 25K to 29K. Next year it will be over 30K.
With dealer markups they're even going for $35-40k, I'd still love to get one though
@@INeedAboutTreeFiddy350 Oh yeah. That's a big problem these days everyone trying to cash in
Less stuff to break....I like it 😊
i wouldn’t say the most fun, cause you could get a C5 corvette or something similar with a v8 for more fun under 30k hell maybe even under 15k
