For everyone that's complaining about the game not having actual cutscenes, square enix the publisher for IOI parted ways with them while they were developing Hitman 2. They quite literally had to lay off half their staff and it's a miracle that the game came out at all so obviously they had to rush certain aspects of it. If cut scenes are the things that you guys are crying about then that just shows how good of a game that says.

Actually I read it somewhere that in Hitman 2016 square enix was one of the developers with io interactive of the game. When the hitman 2 is in development they dropped from the project in middle taking most of the budget with them. Thankfully IO's developer didn't gave up on the project and worked double time to make it to the deadline. Sadly and unfortunately they didn't got time and money to animate the cut scenes in cg. Hitman 3 would have not been possible if hitman 2 wasn't a great success. Now both hitman 2 and 3 have hit the market with great profits they are now investing it on new projects like 007. @@zypher3998 yeah, that was a real shitty thing to do on Square Enix’s part. I believe someday IO Interactive will do a "Director's Cut" of HITMAN 2 to add full high quality cutscenes like we have either in both Hitman Absolution or Hitman 2016. I know the reason behind these static image cutscenes was from the dev team's limited cash flow and the need to lay off the employee due to initial low sales of Hitman 2016, but since the Hitman 2 and the even bigger Hitman 3 release, the sales hit hard and may at some point consider to pull it off this Neat Details. I think he does remember the mission. He just didn't know it's his future handler's parents he's taking out.
So annoying that used these stills for cutscenes the first one and the dlc had actual cutscenes it was so much better
Yes, because that wasn't really a choice. Hitman 2 cutscenes were the way they are because ioi was basically bankrupt. Or very short on cash. After hitman 2016 sold poorly, square enix didn't want ioi anymore. So they lost all their funding basically
lol my phone ran out of at 16.38 right as the bomb went off
I can just fucking hope the next game cutscenes wont be comic
Who's the old woman on the Illuminati seat of power? Queen Elizabeth herself?
Her name is Alexa Alice Carlisle. She is the partner in Providence representing the Carlisle family, who have been working with the Ingrams and the Stuyvesants for generations. These three families had a somewhat informal alliance for centuries, but around the 1970s or 1980s they formed providence with Janus.
Thank god they stopped using those shitty still picture cut scenes for H3 and went to using the regular motion cut scenes from H1
Well, the hitman 2 cutscenes weren't really their choice.. Its all they could do.. IoI was almost bankrupt while making hitman 2. Square enix didn't want them anymore, so the Management bought out ioi. They barley had enough money to survive
The constants Voice sounds a bit like g man
yo use gray betrey buce when olivia said hi is working for them now means that ica and grey and olivia dosent want same thing grey want to go to the top of the providnece for somthing else
i presume you speak another language because this literally makes no sense
I heavily enjoyed trying to make sense of this. It’s like playing the game itself. Good day to you sir
does anyone know the reason why they cheaped out on cutscenes in 2?
Ioi was almost bankrupt. Hitman 2016 was basically bankrolled by square enix. After 2016 failed badly in sales, square enix didn't want ioi anymore. After a Management buyout from ioi, they found themselves without a publisher and with barley any money.
I actually prefer these cutscene. They all look so beautiful and are so moody. Reminds me of Max Payne cutscenes.
I'm guessing they ran out of money for the animation team?
They didn't much money after they split from Square Enix, so they had to sacrifice the cutscenes to make the rest of the game.
I still don‘t understand why they wanted this one guy from providence to kill himself.
It wasn't a suicide pill. It was a remote controlled dose of poison to keep him in check. He does anything the Partners don't like and he gets nothing but a painful death.
Make this a movie please
Nice

Hitman 2 story is not a good Hitman story
I’m sorry but Hitmans reboot story just stupid. So many inconsistencies with original games. Painful to watch really.
That's why it's a reboot - it doesn't have to be 100% consistent with the old games, because it's a new take on the story.
I kinda like it, the complexities of the soy world and stuffs, it's way cooler than the original. It's my opinion, atleast.
Edwin Hanaton i kinda dont care what u have to say.
Andrey K. Welcome to the internet, then. And please don't waste your time replying, cause I won't. Have a good day
