      With Hitman 1 - 3 being bundled into one game with World of Assassination it would only be logical for them to upgrade the slideshow/in-game cutscenes from Hitman 2 and 3 to be of the same quality as Hitman 1's cutscenes. Otherwise there's a big gap in quality within one game

    • @kimberlyb.
      @kimberlyb. 7 лет назад +65

      Agreed. Not to mention, I love that "snooty" air Diana has about herself. I'd always envisioned her as rather "posh," and it thrills me to see that brought to life. I can totally see her turning her nose up to almost everyone she meets. Such a princess. xD

    • @laurabruce9948
      @laurabruce9948 7 лет назад +39

      Oh, she's absolutely got a posh background and I don't imagine the control she has over whether someone lives or dies makes her very approachable. On a separate note, I love how this whole scene is such a fuck you to Erich Soders. If 47 has a pressure point, it's clearly Diana and vice versa. If Soders had just been a bit more humble and a bit more willing to look past his jealousy of 47's abilities, he would have seen a clear way to control both of them.

    • @kimberlyb.
      @kimberlyb. 7 лет назад +31

      Especially since Soders knew them at the beginning, when they weren't as strong/established. Now (20 years later), it's a little harder to control 47 and Diana due to, well...we all saw what happened in Absolution, right? I mean, 47 leaves a swath of destruction from Chicago to South Dakota (and eventually a cemetery in England) all because, let's face it, DIANA TOLD HIM TO. While using 47 and Diana against each other is the easiest way to control both, I also see it as the quickest way to an early death. I don't see this ending well (because again, Absolution).
      And on that same note, I SERIOUSLY hope this Providence guy gets blown away. And I hope when he does, we get to see Diana's haughty little "smirk" once she realizes they've won.

    • @laurabruce9948
      @laurabruce9948 7 лет назад +27

      A swath of destruction all over the US and UK. That's love, bitch.
      Also, I've noticed just now rewatching the clip that when Providence guy mentions how much they care for each other, he chuckles a tiny bit when he says "And vice versa." Like damn girl, even the secret cabal of kingmakers knows you wanna bone a clone.

    • @kimberlyb.
      @kimberlyb. 7 лет назад +8

      Have you perchance ever watched the Absolution Full Disclosure vid here on RUclips? It's a fascinating video overall, but there's a nifty little clip around the 36 minute mark that extends Victoria's opening monologue played during the Absolution title screen. The beginning of the trailer also shows what happens to 47 (in terms of his mental/emotional stability) after he's "shot" Diana (was edited out after some of the storyline concepts were changed in the later production stages of the game). I find the video to be very telling (and again, fascinating).
      Also, you should check out the two Hitman novels, if you haven't already (no worries-they're considered canon). The first one, in particular. The second novel is a little far-fetched and not quite as good. But the first Hitman novel is aces.

    One thing I have noticed about this Providence guy is the way IO have built his character. You can tell from how he is that is clearly someone who wields incredible power, someone dangerous, not to be crossed. He speaks softly because he knows he doesn't need to shout to get what he wants. And yet, there is an arrogance to him, an overconfidence. I've noticed throughout the cut scenes how often he does those little scoffing noises, while looking at the individual in front of him with barely masked derision. He's been hidden for a long time......but when 47 finds him, there will be nowhere to hide!

    • @coldfusionwaffles
      @coldfusionwaffles 6 лет назад +42

      I'd agree with a lot of that, he's emotionally detached and apathetic his psyche profile is probably identical to 47's his mannerisms are both calculated and almost emulating emotions there is a lot of condesention in how he addresses others so likely his position was granted to him because of his intelligence, though I saw something in this scene that maybe not too many picked up on. Diana played him pretty hard, but subtly enough that it appeared he manipulated her into working for him. He is probably not the head of providence but likely the head of providence's security, a go between for those in charge and providence's assets (he's clearly in charge of the keybearers to providence's assets, and is far more in the know then other keybearers). Likely season 2 will focus on 47 facing off with the shadow client and a cat and mouse game between Diana using providence's head of security to uncover as much Intel on them by working for him.
      After all it's not her first time playing a long con game, though he's far more dangerous then Travis or Cayne who were easier to manipulate, the head of providence's security will most likely present her greatest challenge.

    I love how games usually surpass films in plot, storyline, acting, and the like. Keep Hitman to what it is, an exceptional experience where you get to be a part of the storyline. None of this film bs. Hollywood just screws up the narrative with dastardly actors and horrendous storylines that simply destroy the immense experience you get from the games. Absolution was the weakest link in the Hitman games, but even the that holds itself by a few margins above the films. I'm truly loving the new Hitman games, which deserve my money whole heartedly. Truly good times we live in.

      Diana has been "revealed" since Contracts and Blood Money (retroactively and chronologically) and 47's training back in '99 in this game. if you look at the ending sequence, there is a very light diffuse of facial features and model shown. Use brightness, gamma and contrast tweaking to see it. It is definitely there, they intended for her to be revealed to the player - just not to 47 (until Absolution).

      @@philiproschactor One of the truly interesting things about him as a character is that his voice-*your* voice- contains no arrogance. All of his boasts and threats are grounded in fact because he simply doesn't need to lie or exaggerate. Constantly maintaining a quiet, dignified yet menacing air reminiscent of Gus Fring. One of my favorite missions was the Sinclair story with the kill switch. He never raises his voice, never betrays a hint of emotion and Sophia Washington is left trying (and failing) to mask the fact that she's utterly terrified of him. And boy, did you milk those lines for all they were worth, sir.
      Another thing is his appearance: relatively modest, not exactly the sort to stand out in a crowd. From the above mission, Zoe Washington even wonders how he can manage to be the most anonymous person in the room despite being the only one not wearing a mask. Plainer than vanilla, and that's the whole point. One, it means that he isn't easily noticed. Two, it means that his enemies are caught completely off-guard by his fear factor. Arthur Edwards is unfailingly and genuinely polite and well-mannered to friend and foe, but that only makes him even scarier, and even more awesome. And fact that you managed to convey all of that using nothing but your voice is incredible.

      I think it's because of the sudden change of ownership over the non-mobile Hitman games. Square Enix is very, very good at creating these types of cutscenes, as you can see here. Warner Brothers might not have given Hitman 2 a large enough budget for this kind of beauty. Square Enix had a weird approach to Hitman 2016, they spent so much money marketing the game and reviving it. They just didn't provide the devs enough time to finish the game and that led to the awkward release schedule that harmed the game up front IMO.

      Too expensive and honestly not worth the scale. Avatar cost 237 million to make, and it was needed given the action, creatures, battles, vistas and so forth. Hitman? Why spend hundreds of millions on CGI for what? Silent kills and pretty locations and people? The Hitman we like is very practical when it comes to using CGI, nothing over the top really that justify the budget of an avatar escapade. CGI for a small conversation like this? Sure. But really the stuff we want can be relatively easy to reproduce live action at a much lower cost.
      There’s just not much motivation for a CGI hitman movie. Hitman is niche, not worth the investment and after the last two live action movies, who’s gonna care outside of a small group of fans?
      Besides, a faithful 47 from the game would make a poor protagonist, or a very difficult one to convey any emotion or connection from the audience with. So then we would have get another Absolution plot, and tacked on characters to exposit dialogue. Video Games are perfectly fine for 47, he doesn’t translate at all to Cinema.

      It's because during the development of Hitman 2, IO Interactive parted ways with Square Enix. This has a big impact on the game's cutscenes because it was Square Enix, not IO Interactive, that outsourced the cutscenes to a company called Platige Images. The separation also caused huge financial trouble for IO, with almost half of their devs laid off. With them also struggling to release Hitman 2 in time, the devs just couldn't afford to have cutscenes with the same quality as the first game.

      It's not a reboot.
      Because in Colorado, Diana recognises the pictures of 47's past targets, D'Alvade for example.

      Not a reboot but it is still stupid to call it Hitman 6.

    Honestly here is so weird why the constant thinks 47 is behind this, it's like he forgot that at this point of this cutscene that 47 is still just working as a human machine, he just do what he is told to do.....for someone so smart, he should actually think....who is asking for 47 do theses stuff?

      HentaiZero I think it's an edited version of the Colorado OST in Episode 5. It's roughly the same.
