Square Enix left IOI, and half the workers quit. They had to make a budget cut, causing the cutscenes to be more like slideshows. Money from base game sales, other games and time, allowed them to restore the cutscenes in the DLC.

Just like with everyone 47 had ever met, they betray him. I always thought there was something fishy about this Grey tbh, I suspect 47 doesn't trust him fully anyway, see how he says "Which you worked for" at 01:19. I bet that he'll get killed by 47 at the end of Hitman 3. 47 has always been 3 steps ahead of everyone, even though it didn't look like it. Even if it looked like his professional bond with Diana was broken. I think that this will be another one of those "planned ahead" story twists that 47 and Diana work on together. There also has to be some confrontation between Diana and 47 about her parent's death. Man I can't wait for the next game. I honestly appreciate the story very very much, I am sure it will not disappoint in the end.

@Max Delzen I would say another map is gonna get released, we've seen it for New York and Haven Island so it only makes sense that they add another map
@Max Delzen IO's last roadmap was released in April and only includes up to fall 2019 (with a "Halloween theme") but there's also stuff on there that I'm not sure what's up with -- Mumbai ghost mode, two special assignments, etc. The noclip docs on IOI though do mention that they already have concrete plans for H3, so it's a possibility that you'll have to wait

Besides who even gave him a name? He is shown to have emotions and brotherly feeling that the ortmeyer subjects aremt supposed to have.

Though I think the name part could either be from himself or someone else deciding it. also, he could be a separate project and maybe he reclaimed the memories then 47 received them from him as we see. It's complicated so we'll just see if IOI is going to add something new (probably).

I think Grey did make a pact with the constant before he met 47, and the constant killed many of the members of ark with the help of Grey and went through all the extracting/kidnapping so he could eliminate the higher ups of providence without having anything tied back to him, thus not getting his hand dirty (the constant is the secretary, as shown on a cutscene with three other leaders), making him the next on list of ark society leader. As to what's in it for Grey, maybe all he wanted was to reunite back with his friend 47, and his revenge ended when they killed janus. We'll see in the next game, couldn't wait tbh
@@Damenwave it would suck if this was the case because he'd have basically fully betrayed 47's and his own childhood vendetta which would break 47 he'd not forgive that, I hope it's like the others say and that the constant took the phone to throw the two off the trail for a while otherwise it wouldn't be long until 47's handler would get back in contact with him and tell him the truth
@@KM-jb3vg well he's not like 47 afterall, he said it himself, it feels bad to have conscience, and besides sometimes story doesnt always end up being what we want and have a perfect happy route right, i myself dont really mind if the story go either way, im just hoping they would execute it well in the next game
they were low on budget when making the main game so the sales gave them enough to atleast make in-engine cutscenes for the dlc, it's awesome that hitman 3 will have cutscenes like this as confirmed by IO themselves.
