some items were a one of, like blue shells in stars, but in mkwii you could hold green/red shells + banana. You could do this by holding down the L button as u raced, which would hold the shell behind you, giving you protection against other shells, and doing this freed the item box, so you could grab another item

This is going to be a PERFECT mario kart game! They fixed everything that was wrong with the original and then some! Battle mode, holding 2 items, plus the new characters, courses, and items. And I personally love the steering assist for when I'm playing with my 6 year old, this is gonna be GREAT!

The Wii U sold quite poorly, so there's a whole lot of potential customers that this could appeal to.
Also, for some people it'll be worth the money to play MK8 on the go. It's particularly easy to justify if you never bought any of the DLC.

TBF, it was probably gonna be a wait for 9, regardless. Usually takes a year or two, if not longer, for Mario Kart to show up after a launch. I see this more as a welcomed stop-gap measure to keep us busy, rather than delaying 9.

It was already demonstrated that the game runs on 1080p60fps while Docked. The only downside being is it goes back to 30fps when in 4-player Split Screen, but it shouldn't matter since all you're only destroying is _friendship_

Shitson Parker it's not that easy finding a Nintendo Switch. Most stores are sold out. The only way to get a switch is from scalpers for about $400-$700
The next shipment should be out late this month early next month. It's best to wait, there's not much on the Switch right now other than Zelda...and Blaster Master Zero.
You just have to find where they are getting new shipments then wait in line. I got mine after waiting at a Toys R us

i was hoping we unlock characters and tracks like in previous mario kart where if you want a certain character you have to unlock that character i love to have that return it made the game more fun too play

Zach Bell They'll probably make a new Mario kart later on, since the Wii U wasn't a huge hit a lot of people didn't play Mario kart 8, so they want some big titles to attract fans. If MK8 deluxe sells well I don't doubt them putting a new Mario kart game into production sooner than later.

Not necessarily, this game has Inklings as new playable characters and that does not mean Splatoon is dead.
Splatoon is still extremely popular to the point of us getting a sequel, there hasn't been a proper F-Zero game in years and at this point there probably won't be

@Nintendo Will people who bought the Wii U version of MK8 and/or the DLC from the eShop get a discount on the game? 60 dollars is a bit much for a few characters and a battle mode that, let's be honest, should've been in the Wii U version. Furthermore, while games on Wii U weren't bound to an account, NNIDs do have a purchase history attached to them and they can be linked to a My Nintendo account.

stuna210 not really. There's two f zero stages in the game and a captain falcon amiibo costume. If anything that's a good thing because it means they haven't totally forgot about the franchise. I anticipate getting an f zero this console generation
