Thank you, Jess, for your fabulous video!! I learned so many great tips! I am honored you featured one of my bag patterns & love how your Tremont Crossbody turned out!!
Thanks so much Jess. Your tutorials are the very best and your energy is so positive. I really look forward to everything you do. I’ve learned so much from you.
Again I love your teaching style. For me it is easy to follow along and comprehend instructions that you give. Keep up the good work and thank you for your effort and work! Jan W.
I would never be able to make this without your video - terrific tutorial!! And thank you for not deleting the zipper mistake from your video. It must makes you so authentic! You make bag sewing fun and easier!
I have watched this tutorial a couple of times now and kept telling myself ‘no, you don’t need ANOTHER pattern, use the ones you have’, but after chanting that to myself for four days I decided I’m no good at telling what I need or don’t need. So I got it 😇. My Mom and I are going on a kidless adventure to Disneyland in April and I think we just found our park bag!
If you add the peltex to the bottom before you add the overlay, you can sew it in place, and the stitches won’t show since they’ll be under the overlay.
Thank you so much for leaving the zipper error in. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who sometimes works ahead of the pattern! And knowing you were able to “save it”- even after trimming the seam allowance - is great to know!!
@@OklaRootshi thanks for the fabulous video. Can you please post a link for the material cutting dies for your press? There are so many out there and I am looking for the one you used in the tremont bag video. Thanks
It's a cute bag. Your fabric selection, as always, carries the day. I'm a Maleficent fan from decades ago! I can't express enough how refreshing it is to see a mistake, or 2, in a tutorial video. Now please don't take that the wrong way. I love your videos and you sparkle! Just keep on making more videos!
I am pretty new to sewing bags but since I found your channel I have grown addicted to trying. You make amazing tutorials. I love that you leave all of the little "mistakes" in your videos and how you explain everything so well. I have found others to go way too fast or just say what to do and not show. I am very much a visual learner. Thank you for giving me the motivation to try.
It was so helpful for you to go over the pattern pieces and what fabric/material you cut for each piece. I’m new to bag making and there are so many pieces, that part of the video was nice to follow along with.
Made two so far with one for myself and used it running errands, and one thing got my thumbs up was having the bag fully opened with nothing falling out. Love this bag.
I'm always amazed at how you put fabrics together! For instance, I would NEVER have paired the blue wpc with that Yoda fabric but NOW... I can't see it without it!! I always stress on making all of the fabrics match. You remind me that we don't have to be perfect!!! It CAN and DOES look good without perfection!
Jess, I started this bag this am thinking I’d be done by noon. (I did cut it out yesterday). Major miscalculation. Took all day and I’m still not finished. But your video, which I have watched three times, was both a lifesaver and encouraging to know it wasn’t a walk in the park for you either. My seam ripper definitely got a work out today. Thank you so much for your videos. I really leaned heavily on this one today. But it is such a great bag.
My favorite HOLD IT RIGHT THERE pattern is the WINSLET WALLET !!!! Of all my wallet patterns that’s the wallet I love most !!! Can not stop making them . Love this cross body bag too so no surprise there. Can not wait to make one . Love your villain fabric so much.
Jess, Its so crazy! When this video debuted I had just sat down to cut the pattern out. I just love your tutorials they are so informative. I really like that you go thru each pattern piece, the interfacing and everything that you need to make the bag. Explaining so well. Please keep these wonderful tutorial coming.
I made this bag last summer and I absolutely love it. I always had much larger bags and this one has changed me forever. I go back to my large bags, but then switch back the next day. I actually made this one without any videos (rare for me because I really like to watch along while I make). The pattern is super easy to follow. Love your video!
I'll have to try this pattern, that bag is so cute! I LOVE Hold It Right There patterns!! The Delmar wristlet is one of my most favorite patterns and I use my mine everyday. I've also made several Winslet wallets and love that pattern too!
I LOVE that you showed your mistakes. So helpful and encouraging because we all make them (and I make a LOT!). You’re a terrific teacher and I love your channel. I bought this pattern yesterday and it’s next on my list. Can’t wait. 😊❤️
Hi Jess I’ve had good results in using a wood clapper immediately when ironing canvas. i’m pretty sure I learned about the clapper from one of your videos. I especially like using the clapper when pressing before topstitching
Omg I just found out about them yesterday!! I would looove to see you make the Glenwillow Saddle Bag! I just want to say THANK YOU for ALL of your WONDERFUL tutorials!!! Between you and MoreMeKnow, I always have someone to watch for research, as well as someone to watch, whilst sewing. I just absolutely love your teaching style and your amazing sense of humor! You are amazing! 💖💖💖
Just bought the pattern have two separate people in mind for it. I looked at the designers other patterns and there are two I would love to see you make. Glenwillow Saddle Bag and the Winslet Wallet. Both are very cute. Thanks again for sharing the tutorial. :)
I love all your tutorials! Everything looks so fun and doable!! I am hoping you can make a tutorial on how to make a diaper bag with a changing pad!! 🙏🏻
Great video! One thing I would say from experience with this bag - rethink vinyl on the outside and if you do use it make sure it is one that can bend alot. I used a fun vinyl and it did not like all the turning and birthing 🤣😂 and it showed afterwards. But overall a very fun bag❤️
I've made two of these so far using the Hold it Right There tutorial, it was great to follow on with but I wish I had yours to use as you add so much fun to your tutorials. I love this bag
I was so excited to create this crossbody. Thanks for such wonderful tutorials. Would love to see a tutorial on Corcoran Cross Body Bag - Many Pockets - eReader / Tablet pocket.
I Love the way you are! You are so funny and talented! I can do my sewing right, because you explain it very good. I have learned so much from you. Thank You for your Wonderful explanation!
I love your tutorials! I have made several bags following along with you and have become obsessed with bag making. I would like to see a tutorial for the Simone Tote from Hold it Right There. This would be a great travel tech bag to hold my iPad and all those cords that always have to travel with me.
Thanks for another great video. When you are sewing the zipper pockets, I've noticed that Lauren from More Me Know has been sewing only the top and bottom lines. It seems to make the edges turn easier.
Love this pattern! I am home sick with covid, so I am trying to keep my mind busy with your tutorials. Even though I know I will have to rewatch, it makes me happy to listen and sorta watch your videos. Did you notice the main panel piece looks like Darth Vader?😂I love your videos. Thanks for helping me get through this!
Wow🤩 your Tremont looks awesome! I absolutely love this pattern❤ The first one I made I got my zipper all twisted🙃 luckily I was able to fix it just by taking off the pulls and untwisting all in all it worked out🙂 As always thank you
I always add my decovil BEFORE my shapeflex if possible. I find that the sf101 helps keep my decovil from coming unglued. 😊 I'm about to make this bag now so I'll come back and add my experience when finished 😊
I love your choice of fabrics. So cute! I would like to see a tutorial for the Ludlow double zip wristlet (also Hold It Right There Bags), if you haven't done one already.
I love this one! I must do it. I have done the Clarendon Crossbody Wallet , would love to see your take on it is a great summertime bag! I love all of her bag patterns. Please do another!
Great tutorial as always, thank you for all the time you put into your videos. You are the reason I started making bags a year ago!! Did you see Hold It Right There also has a short vid to make this a backpack!?! It’s super clever. Already working on my second & third Tremont backpacks.
The new table is great! The background colour is much btter than black. This is a really fun pattern - I have the pattern but haven't made it yet. You always have the cutest zipper pulls and hardware! Thank you for a great tutorial! Any tutorials using your industrial machine in the future?
Oh my gosh! So stinking cute! Definitely getting this pattern! I was part of a Winslet Wallet exchange before Christmas. I’d LOVE to see your take on it!
Loverly as per.. hey jess how about you posting a tutorial on your industrial sewing machine again.. maybe using leather or oil skin materials?? Thank you for all your work. 😍
OMG my zipper in inside out 😞 Fixed it too. Making another. Loved the tutorial and couldn't have made this without your help. Thank you. Great tutorial.
I was excited about this bag and made it over the weekend. I somehow got the zipper twisted. Watching SiahSwag, and she did the same thing that I did. It's a tricky one.
I love all of your videos! I have been having a terrible time finding vinyl that is a good thickness to sew over! Do you have suggestions on vendors of vinyl to use and suggestions for thickness to purchase? I use a domestic Bernina Artista 185.
Jess I found this bag pattern on Etsy and was so thrilled to see that you did a tutorial! I was downright Giddy! So I want to make this into a convertible bag from crossbody to backpack. My idea is to put another set of vinyl D-ring loops under the vinyl facing up so I can attach another strap. Do you think this would work?
Yay! I’m so excited you did a tutorial for this one!! I’m planning my fabrics now but curious as to why you don’t want to Rivet the strap carriers to the back panel on the top set of rivets?
Thank you so much for another wonderful video. I need to make make my daughter one of these. I'm just starting to make purses. I have made a ton of wallets. Did you use a special zipper tape to go around the purse, and zipper pulls? I look at the web site you listed for the zipper pulls but I did not see and that said double pulls.
Thank you, Jess, for your fabulous video!! I learned so many great tips! I am honored you featured one of my bag patterns & love how your Tremont Crossbody turned out!!
I LOVE this bag! You wrote the instructions out so well, I'm excited to try more! Thank you again for allowing me to feature it!

I love these patterns
Thanks so much Jess. Your tutorials are the very best and your energy is so positive. I really look forward to everything you do. I’ve learned so much from you.
Honestly. Thank goodness for Jess. I don’t think I make anything unless she does the tutorial. I’m definitely a visual learner. Love this pattern. ❤️
Awwwww you can make all these without me Carol! But I'm glad you allow me to hang out with you!

I’m amazed that I made this bag! All thanks to YOU and HOLD IT RIGHT THERE patterns. I can’t believe it.

So I got it 😇. My Mom and I are going on a kidless adventure to Disneyland in April and I think we just found our park bag!
Love how your bag turned out! Seeing the hiccups makes me feel I can make this bag, too. Sometimes tutorials can be too perfect and intimidating.

I make tons of mistakes, but that was the first time I put a zipper in upside down. I know lots of us do it.
Lolol she was so chill when she realized her mistake! My reaction would not have been nearly as “family friendly” 😅
