I remember when you first started using the helgramite before full time fishing I had to order my grandson some, he liked them. You’ve come a long way young man, be proud you have made very good decisions with the help from the big guy
I was blessed to have come across this channel in the early days, too. It's been great learning about all the varieties of sunfish and catching them too here in the northwest.
Tennessee is such a beautiful state. My daughter and her family live around the Chattanooga area.I have a nephew who started a new church in Chattanooga.
Brother the river looked beautiful and the fish were plenty willing. Tearing up the smallies and spots. Free tip if anyone is experiencing your craw/crankbaits snagging frequently in moving water...remove your front treble hook and upgrade your rear hook 1 size. Learned this trick about 20 years ago from our old river guide buddy. Blessings John
Up here in the north rivers, we use 2 inch crawpapes, green, pumpkin or green and orange pumpkin. Darker as the summer gets later. They work great. We like the hard bodied ones that you’re using also for little open water. We rig up crawPapas weedless that way we can pull it through the rocks & grass. Have fun! 🤙🏼
Another super video ! It was so cool to see all those smallmouth in a feeding frenzy. Loved the music and always love the WORD ! Yes, the days are getting a little cooler now, so I hope to be able to get out again soon. Always be careful. Pap Blevins
I really enjoy participating vicariously in the natural beauty of the mountain streams with you,John . It reminds me of northern Alabama where I grew up.The beach on the small island near New York City where I live now has its own beauty and a little bit of the natural wildness which is so hard to find around here ,but it's not the same .
That was a great intro, especially the spider. Another beautiful place and fantastic smallies love the colors. Knocked Another one out of the park, John.
I have always fished, but watching videos the last couple years really got me back out there! I'm fishing every creek, lake and especially small rivers near me. My favorite is going south and fishing for smallmouth now. Thank you bro.
I've been working in West Virginia for the last few weeks. The country here looks exactly like your location. I have been catching plenty of smallmouth, walleye, and trout. Fish I have little experience catching. This is a complete 180 from saltwater fishing back home in Florida. I'm using your videos as a tutorial.
Super down not having been able to go fishing. Thank God for your video Brother 🤠. Gonna go out tomorrow morning on my old 18 speed to a small creek in town. Once again thanks for inspiring!! God Bless 🙏
Doode...great catches....if we were camping and needed food real quick.....yummyyyyyyyyyy....lol...good lob... that river reminds me of the Mulberry in North Arkansas in the Ozarks....alot of smallies and rock bass...thanks for the content
Your videos just keep getting better and better John! Loved the intro to this one. Beautiful scenery and awesome fishing! I Always wait for that bible verse at the end. Keep ‘em coming, I so very much look forward to them.
LOVE those Rebel crawfish lures in rivers and creeks. Everything will eat them. It only sux when the big bass eats it but the hooks aren't big enough. That's why I keep a biggeer one in the boat.
I love watching you and how and the way you fish! I am headed out now even as we speak to fish, but I got a beautiful 15.5in on topwater early morning yesterday! The explosion was EPIC! God has blessed you with a gift to reach people with your platform from all walks, stay your path and may He continue with your blessings 🙌!!!
Always love your videos, this one was also great, the way you get so excited on seeing fish come after your bait is priceles, that was some dangerous bank walking though!🎣👍
Nice video, as usual, John! I really need to try those Rebel Craws. I've had some luck on the little Arkie crank baits around here, and I bet those would work great. It's hard to beat the Nikko hellgrammite. I started using those last year, because of you, and have caught a bunch of creek bass on them. Hoping to take some of those up to the Little Pigeon River soon to see if I can get on some smallmouth up there.
I absolutely love the teeny craw. I feel like no one I know uses it, either. It's probably super popular, but in my experience it's underrated. I've caught so many different species on it, too.
you are rigging the hellgrammite rite now - this is good content - try the rubber realistic craw on a jighead too - i think it will outfish the crank though they all will work - non stop action in this one - the lures were a tie
Another great video. Have you ever experienced close encounters with beavers while fishing? I have on several different occasions while wading to fish. I don't find it comfortable being close to them, especially in deeper water.
I sure love your videos...watch all the time but just subscribed 👍....just moved frome Texas to Greenville TN....been kayaking the nolichucky lately.... If you have any suggestions where I might go I sure would appreciate it friend!
Was this the ocoee John ? I fished the hiwassee a lot last time I was down that way , caught 2 that was it , the ocoee can’t be running for the rafters I know for it to be good , I’d like to come back down and try it , I fished the dam like u said , tried all I knew including hellgrammite and couldn’t get nothing .
I know you like your spots, and so did my father-in-law, but at Lake Lanier I fished for nothing like spots. A 2.5 lb. spot bend my boron rod, and no other fish could.
@@CreekFishingAdventures guess who got rid of them? Those spotted bass. They’re not going to stop on their own either. We have rules in place in Virginia because they’re breeding with our bass and tainting the small mouth population. Fight for your fishery
My neighbor across the street had two kayaks on the side of the road for free, my wife told me about them the next day, should I file for divorce, your call

Nikko craws and hellgrammites are just so damn good in creeks
Another great day of fishing John🐟🎣🐟🎣

I love seeing a pod of followers after hooking up!👍 I always have a hellgrammite tied on when I’m creek fishing. Great stuff!
Freaking beautiful creek/river on this episode, nice fish brother!

Those fish were fired up Jon!!! Beautiful river and scenery!!!!
You got that right!

What a beautiful, clear fishing hole! Just got some hellgrammites. Love that color. Great video, John.
Love fishing the Ocoee river
Outstanding video John. Always entertaining!
Your videos just keep getting better and better John! Loved the intro to this one. Beautiful scenery and awesome fishing! I Always wait for that bible verse at the end. Keep ‘em coming, I so very much look forward to them.
Love bible verses at end,it takes a true man of god to post those,in todays world, and not be afraid of what people may say.
Beautifully done video John....Scenery,fish....great job
Nothing like a nice smallie jumping out of the water
Great video
I couldn't help but laugh when you got your rods tangled. ( real life )😂 Keep it coming brother!
Another solid video. You are getting better. Can’t wait for the next one
Nice one. Those were some solid creek bass.
Beautiful creek or river the fish was ready to eat for sure I am going to try one of the ozart trail crawfish tomorrow or sunday
LOVE those Rebel crawfish lures in rivers and creeks. Everything will eat them. It only sux when the big bass eats it but the hooks aren't big enough. That's why I keep a biggeer one in the boat.
Keep up the great work, Jon!

That river had alot bass hitting. Awesome video John. God bless you and your family and friends..🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
I got my Neko Hellgrammites delivered today!
Always love your videos, this one was also great, the way you get so excited on seeing fish come after your bait is priceles, that was some dangerous bank walking though!🎣👍
Love the video and your chosen verse. Thanks so much, you are a blessing to me!
Glad it was helpful!

Great job on this, John! Great to relive that stretch through your video! :-) -Scott-

The new colors are great, cant wait to get my hands on them and give them a try
I have always thought the rebel craw was one of the best river/creek lures ever made
rebel craw and Rapala 2" floating minnow.....
@anthonyh3224 yes, include that one too
Spot fishing amazing brother... 😊👍
that blue craw color looks incredible.
One of my favorite videos of yours man! I might try a creek out tomorrow. I love your channel. Thanks for the awesome content man
Those Nikko hellgrammites are the juice up here on the Shenandoah. They just catch fish and last forever
This video was definitely a lot of fun to watch, good job John!😎👍
Great action from the rebel teeny wee. Had to order some for myself. Nice fishes. Great looking creek
I’ve been using the hellgrammite lately and I’m really enjoying it as always awesome video brother!
you are rigging the hellgrammite rite now - this is good content - try the rubber realistic craw on a jighead too - i think it will outfish the crank though they all will work - non stop action in this one - the lures were a tie
after rigging it this way i still thing sideways hooks them better
“Oops”🤣🤣love ya brother🎣🤞🏾
Wish I could have liked this video more than once. This is one of your best I’ve seen.
Which zodias are you using John? I've got the 268L but find it a little light for the Aussie Bass I fish for. Maybe should have got the medium.
6ft 9 med, i really like it
The treble hooks on those Rebel craws are really sharp. My thumb has had several chances to attest to that over the years.🤣
That was awesome and beautiful spot to have.
That dropped Red Breast was stunned!
Good footage brother beautiful stream!!!
Love these videos, what # braid and leader are you using on the Zodias rod and what action is the rod, thanks
15 lb braid, 10 lb flouro leader
Beautiful river
You fish some beautiful waters
After last video, ive got really interested in seeing some squirrel hunting videos, but not completely putting fishing away though
man, both of them are my fav creek lure, nice video
Man that river looks like somthing out of a dream. Where is that? Love your videos, from Toronto Canada
Great day🎉🎣
thank you from murfreesboro tn. prayers and blessings. chaplain marsha jill mann...
What hooks are you using with the Hellgrammites?
that was a bass pro offset 1/16 oz
Awesome! Thanks for sharing
Another great video. Have you ever experienced close encounters with beavers while fishing? I have on several different occasions while wading to fish. I don't find it comfortable being close to them, especially in deeper water.
i see them all the time but never had them get close
I sure love your videos...watch all the time but just subscribed 👍....just moved frome Texas to Greenville TN....been kayaking the nolichucky lately.... If you have any suggestions where I might go I sure would appreciate it friend!
Thosr redbreasts love the rebel craws.
@ 77 I can only bank fishing for anything that bites. catch and release. fish on.
That drive up looks just like driving into Townsend Tennessee.
same mtn range just about an hour away
Great day John
John you are amazing
Was this the ocoee John ? I fished the hiwassee a lot last time I was down that way , caught 2 that was it , the ocoee can’t be running for the rafters I know for it to be good , I’d like to come back down and try it , I fished the dam like u said , tried all I knew including hellgrammite and couldn’t get nothing .
Great footage
Nice garden spider.
Perhaps next time rig one nikko and add a dropper to it with another nikko.
What hook are you using for that helgramite?
it was a bass pro 1/16 oz offset
Excellent content
You need to come to sulphuric fork creek
Which creek/river are you at?
What state are you fishing in that allows you to have 2 lines in the water at the same time?
Tennessee, plus a lot more allow that also
Seriously someone needs to create a natural rig for the hellgramite, a centered butterfly flap motion.
Small mouth have beautiful colors 😊
Rewind at the oops 😂
haha, i didnt even notice until i was editing
I didn't know this river held fish.
Your nickname should be "two rod"...😆
I thought the chemical discharges from the copper mine killed the river. When I was a kid I remember seeing orange foam coming down the river.
Are there any trout in the river?
they stock some trout in there, yeah it has a lot of fish in the river now
love the video
Dual wield them bad boys! Great fishing spot! Keep at it!
Love that Bible verse
Yeew!!!
Like 300 Jon 🔥🎣🤘
#FoconoUltralight
Sure it's still summer
I know you like your spots, and so did my father-in-law, but at Lake Lanier I fished for nothing like spots. A 2.5 lb. spot bend my boron rod, and no other fish could.
i am going to plan to fish there this fall
Start removing all those Alabama spotted bass. It will make a difference
the lake is like 65 % spots to largemouth, and no smallmouth in the lake
@@CreekFishingAdventures guess who got rid of them? Those spotted bass. They’re not going to stop on their own either. We have rules in place in Virginia because they’re breeding with our bass and tainting the small mouth population. Fight for your fishery
Quite stressing the fish.
Smallmouth are king eat anything but
Come on man take out anything is not a small mouth bring it do it
The good news is that the good Lord Jesus Christ is coming soon please repent for the kingdom of heaven Is at hand
