If I'm only going to share one Michel Camilo for example, his track "From Within" But, just sticking to pianists, I could list a hundred other instrumentalists, here are artists that could plop down at the piano and change your life. *In no particular order Harold O'Neal Thelonious Monk Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) Jon Batiste Eliane Elais Stevie Wonder Duke Ellington Professor Longhair Jack McDuff I have always wished that people had grown up with my Dad's record collection. But now, we have access to everything! Our days of wasting time on bad music should be close to an end. Ren is one artist heralding in the future 🌟
Ren: He plays multiple instruments at a very high level (acoustic, electric, bass guitar, piano). He makes most of his beats, sings beautifully all genres, with a huge range, raps (all types from melodic to super fast), he beatboxes, composes his own music for singing and instruments, he is a bardcore, a story telling minstrel with his guitar. He is a producer of all his music and videos, he is a director, he is an actor, he does many (live..one take videos), he has done all his videos of a budget of $2000 or less, the exception was MG3. He has a talented crew of friends that help him with all I mentioned, but he has the talent to do it all if need be. He is also a top notch sound engineer. In his bts videos, he has filmed and has done his own camera work for some of his videos. So he is familiar with that part as well. He has done this all while fighting an debilitating illness. He speaks on behalf of many sick people both physically and mentally. I'm sure I forgot some of his other skills but that should cover it. That is what Cliff means by "find me another artist who compares to this multi-talented man". There are none today that have that many exceptional skills combined. I can think of no other independent artist or those signed by the big label out there today. Many artist you mentioned are very talented musicians and artists, and indeed excel in certain areas. I don't see them having (all his skills and talents combined). He is one of a kind right now (my opinion), but the list of all his talents and accomplishments are facts, he has many music videos and tracks to prove it.

PS there was no such thing as independent artist in our day. The underground artists made up demo tapes always trying to get the radio station to play it or have a producer hear it. What must've made this even harder for Ren is both Joe and Callum were lost to the Sea. Callum and his friends were on the beach on a particularly rough day and dragged into rocks by the tide. Their friend Lewis jumped in after Callum to try and rescue him but was sadly also pulled under 5 or 6 more times while trying to get back out after being unable to get to Callum. Lewis was recovered that day but sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Callum's body was recovered by the RNLI several days later. Rest in peace to both their souls. Gone too soon x

If in doubt, most British pronunciations use short vowel sounds. Not all but as a rule of thumb, it'll steer you right more often than not. With 'Callum' both the 'a' and the 'u' are short vowel sounds. It's 'a' as in happy or sad and 'u' as in bug or glum. Hence 'Cal-lum'. There's also a slight emphasis on the first syllable, 'Cal'. David Bowie was known for reinventing himself every number of years, but Ren seems like a different artist each time he releases something new, every couple of weeks. Initially, I thought Ren was trying to keep up with today’s short attention span, but this is just how he creates, possibly because of his own ADHD, and it blows my mind. Before “Mackay” was released, I was trying to predict what the next video would be and I thought I was being pretty imaginative, but I didn’t even come close.
One of my best friends is also called Callum MacKay (Caa luhm MacKigh) and I'm very happy he's still with us, but I had goosebumps listening to this yesterday, it's so beautiful. I laughed at the face you made at 3.14 like, of fucking course this guy can do this. Awesome reaction as always friend.

There was a few times we shared birthday parties cause they were so close together, they were always chaotic and awesome. This is me sharing my birthday with him once more. Callum was one of those friends who was constant throughout school, he was a year older than me, always positive, always down to get up to whatever stupid shit was on the menu that day. Fond memories of getting older kids to go get us a bottle of vodka, then heading into the woods behind the co-op and getting so drunk we'd usually end up either throwing up or creating beautifully blurry memories. I loved and looked up to that guy so much. The last time I saw him was ironically at Joes funeral, I'd just won two bottles of wine on the raffle we set up, which was the last time I ever drank alcohol. I decided it would be a sensible idea to drink both, and we had a great send off, felt right all the lads being together in one place, despite the circumstances. Me and call were both absolutely hammered and reminiscing about old times and it felt just like being back in the woods. I got the news Callum had died 6 months after Joe took his life. At the age of 21 it was really difficult for me to process that two of my best friends could die in such a short space of time. Joe dying had hit me so hard that I was almost unable to process Callum going shortly after. I wanted to write something for him for such a long time to pay tribute, but there was a mental block and nothing ever felt right. One day I was sat by my piano and I started to play with no real intention, and this song came out of me that had no words, just music, and for some reason it managed to express what I wasnt able to with words. It felt fitting to hold onto it and release it for his birthday. This is for Callum Mackay Love and miss you always. Ren"

If in doubt, most British pronunciations use short vowel sounds. Not all but as a rule of thumb, it'll steer you right more often than not. With 'Callum' both the 'a' and the 'u' are short vowel sounds. It's 'a' as in happy or sad and 'u' as in bug or glum. Hence 'Cal-lum'. There's also a slight emphasis on the first syllable, 'Cal'. Btw, I didn't go into the pronunciation of 'Mackay' because there are at least 3 different pronunciations of that surname and have no idea which was the correct pronunciation here. :)

David Bowie was known for reinventing himself every number of years, but Ren seems like a different artist each time he releases something new, every couple of weeks. Initially, I thought Ren was trying to keep up with today’s short attention span, but this is just how he creates, possibly because of his own ADHD, and it blows my mind. Before “Mackay” was released, I was trying to predict what the next video would be and I thought I was being pretty imaginative, but I didn’t even come close.

One of my best friends is also called Callum MacKay (Caa luhm MacKigh) and I'm very happy he's still with us, but I had goosebumps listening to this yesterday, it's so beautiful. I laughed at the face you made at 3.14 like, of fucking course this guy can do this. Awesome reaction as always friend.

"Today is one of my favorite peoples birthday. There was a few times we shared birthday parties cause they were so close together, they were always chaotic and awesome. This is me sharing my birthday with him once more.
Callum was one of those friends who was constant throughout school, he was a year older than me, always positive, always down to get up to whatever stupid shit was on the menu that day. Fond memories of getting older kids to go get us a bottle of vodka, then heading into the woods behind the co-op and getting so drunk we'd usually end up either throwing up or creating beautifully blurry memories.
I loved and looked up to that guy so much.
The last time I saw him was ironically at Joes funeral, I'd just won two bottles of wine on the raffle we set up, which was the last time I ever drank alcohol. I decided it would be a sensible idea to drink both, and we had a great send off, felt right all the lads being together in one place, despite the circumstances. Me and call were both absolutely hammered and reminiscing about old times and it felt just like being back in the woods.
I got the news Callum had died 6 months after Joe took his life. At the age of 21 it was really difficult for me to process that two of my best friends could die in such a short space of time. Joe dying had hit me so hard that I was almost unable to process Callum going shortly after. I wanted to write something for him for such a long time to pay tribute, but there was a mental block and nothing ever felt right. One day I was sat by my piano and I started to play with no real intention, and this song came out of me that had no words, just music, and for some reason it managed to express what I wasnt able to with words. It felt fitting to hold onto it and release it for his birthday.
