Man thank you so much. That truly means a lot. Yeah they hit me for some of your lyrics in “Jenny and Screech (Trilogy)”. Obviously a very deep and traumatic song/ storytelling but I don’t want you being punished through us. Their new system is picking up cursing from artists and limiting our videos which in turn limits the reach you could have through out the platform. For example “ You F***ng C**t”, was flagged for all of us. I don’t even mind doing it for free because I want to see everyone succeed. But you shouldn’t be getting limited reach due to this. You definitely have “it” man and a heart of gold for helping me while I’m down. I will not forget this boss. 🙏 ❤️

Totally agree Cliff, there are lots of talented artists out there, but Ren is showing signs of genius, an another level talent, its like Stevie Wonder and Akala had a baby together
Cliff, just want to throw this out there for discussion.... we are all amazed, traumatized, energized, and wholly shaken by the force that is Ren... He has created a firestorm of discussion, realization, contemplation, and engagement within the reaction community, the mental health community, and hopefully many others.... I think we can call ourselves Ren's Army....because we would fight for him and lay ourselves down to protect him and what he stands for...and when you are passionate about anything, you can be a force. But as you have seen in all his material, which is so varied and creative, his energy explodes out about all the ills and trouble of our world...and we can roll them all up to call them 1 word: the establishment... and that establishment will not like the carpet being pulled up so that we all see the roaches and they scatter... How many of us have stated definitively that Ren should be acknowledged and appreciated for the talent he is, and that it will be impossible for any other musical, theatrical, artistic body of work to win any awards this year if the people that judge truly are honest with themselves... And while we shout to the heavens in frustration and empathy for Ren being discarded by "those people", Ren has, as he said it best, "learned to relax, learned to soften, and the dance has become easier".... Can’t believe I missed this one until today, have watched all your other Ren videos and Em reactions too. I still love Em as I have for the last 25 years, and never thought I’d find another artist I loved as much as him. In fact, figured that no one made good music anymore until the reactors I follow introduced me to Hi Ren.

I just realized this after watching this trilogy's reactions for the nth time on how great that reveal was at 19:30 . The reveal about Voilet having twins and how the part where Jenny and Screech are twins were a bit prolonged. It definitely lets you realize it on your own. Cliff's face when he thought about it himself at 19:37 was great.

At 15:20 when rens sings "and her father" was a bastard he looks up into the corner and pronunces louder and changes the sound of the hall way he like tweaked the echo by projecting his voice into the corner ABSOLUTE MADNESS
Fun fact: to hype the release of Screech's tale Ren did a bunch of instagram stories with some more details that weren't in the song. Screech's best friend Patrick wasn't home to open the door because he was with Screech's girlfriend at the time.

You asked the question a long time ago now so i don't know if it's been answered, but it was shot and reordered live.
Ren then spent a lot of time in post production mixing it and manually vocal riding! He didn't simply slap a compressor on the vocals and let the compressor do the work. Same for all of his live recordings. He manually automates the volumes and effects. It's an absolutely painstaking process!

This-the guitar playing and the narrator walking between scenes-strikes me like a spaghetti western with the stranger wandering through a bleak world full of suffering, except that here there’s zero chance of him making a difference for good inside the world he’s presenting. Maybe outside it. Ren seems to be connecting with a lot of people

Hey man. New to the channel. I pretty much think Ren can do it all. But it's cool to see someone who doesn't limit himself in music to one style. One thing I was wondering about this song that no one has said anything about, I think at the end of his song, he is in the same places as the beginning. I'm not sure. But it would be a cool "circle of life" thing if it's so. But it is cool some of the stuff he does that not a lot of people notice or think he is doing something wrong.
Looking into RENS music is like going down a rabbit hole, if you listen to violets tale, Ren explains that violets mum was also quiet and her step dad was violent.. 3 generations repeats

My guess having done shoots like this for people: Live multi-mic performance. The mic he wears is most likely for Syncing the better mics the sound and camera person have. The wire he has goes to a transmitter that records and transmits to the portable sound bank.
I was in hosital. I haf a shaytered hip, a brpken femur, and atys of my skull and brsin were missing. Ren saw me through it.
The recordings are always live, if there are loud noises or such he'll mix in a prerecorded bit to fix it. Ren's the king of doing raw performances in single takes.

no words exist to explain how Ren makes me feel listening to him, only heard a few in the last couple days and between this, Suic*de and Hi Ren I am so blown away. I never thought I’d find such great story telling outside of country music but it’s in all genres, well, I’m not sure Ren can be placed in any genre except his own

Ren is a Welsh busker who performs on the streets of Brighton, and when he was in The Big Push, many of their videos are recorded straight from live street performances. He is used to doing everything live in one take. If he ever does a video that has a take other than the first, he'll label it "Retake."
They are truly great performances but also reflect Rens skill at mixing back on to the video. Instruments and vocal are recorded on zoom mics before perfectly processing/balancing. It really sets them apart - super sound live street performances..the man is (and TBP) class.
Fun fact. The hospital room was filmed in a bike shed that was dressed up.
After hearing Violet's tale, the fact that Jenny also froze and stayed silent becomes a lot more haunting.

The foster care messed up Jenny and not just Screech. Think about it, she was 14 years old and walking the streets at night. Then there was a connection about Jenny freezing when confronted with danger just like Violet did.
This was the most amazing storytelling I've ever heard in music form.
I came across Ren just a few days ago for the first, watching his HI REN video. I'm so glad I did because I've never seen such an amazing talented Singer, Rapper, Guitarist, Musician, Writer, Poet, Storyteller, Actor, and an overall Artist!
It's insane how all the recognition and awards go to shit like Cardi-B's WAP, while a REAL ARTIST like REN has less views than The Island Boys clowns.

Cliff his riffs remind me so much of Sublime. The lyrics, "It was a cold dark night in a London street." is a throwback to Warren G in Regulators. "It was a cold dark night in the LBC, on a mission tryin to find Mr Warren G." I love these references, the inspiration he takes from all over, and then his magnificent word play and beautiful guitar skills... He is a musical genius! Also seeing him comment showing love back to all those who have done reactions to... I cannot be more high on this guy than I am now and I only found him a few days ago. I've listened and shared Hi Ren to freaking like EVERYONE I know, even my parents and they're in their 60's lol but still enjoyed it!

I love how he left the revelation of the twins until the very last possible second: He wrote the lyric of Violet begging to the doctor for their lives with "Please let my babies stay alive" which sounds identical to "Please let me baby stay alive". Such a friggin genius! 🤯🤯😭😭👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Each of the Tales have their own videos, and they all have more number of views than the compilation. I believe Violet's Tale is the one that has the most though; that was the one that YT promoted in my recommendations.
