when you said you were in Yosemite valley. you were actually in Lyell canyon through which the Lyell fork of the Tuolumne river goes through. I had forgotten that the backpackers camp was closed. thats too bad because normally you can eat at the Tuolumne meadows grill and resupply at the store. plus if you know the tricks, you can get a shower at the lodge.
Our family backpacked a 30 mile loop in Yosemite just a few weeks ago, which included the PCT section between Glen Aulin and Tuolumne Meadows. Its so beautiful there! One of our favorite areas of the park. The smaller waterfall by Glen Aulin is called White Cascade. Tuolumne Fall is the bigger one. Both are so pretty! Enjoy and Happy Trails!
The trails out of Tuolumne Meadows are incredibly beautiful!!! The water levels are interesting to see & experience! I'm a huge fan of the wildflowers. However, their season corresponds with mosquito season - not a fan! "Happy Trails"
Interesting to see the water levels in late August. That big wide meadow you walked through was a marsh in June. The bridges that you crossed late in the video, the water level was almost going over the bridges in June. And the Tuolumne Falls was roaring, about 10 times the water volume going over.
Yeah it’s hard to camp in that area. Too bad the backpackers camp was closed. But you all are crushing the miles through there either way all that rock. Good job
Love Tuolumne Meadows. Yosemite's untouristed part of the N.P. They call that area Tuolumne Meadows for good reason. Tons of Deer there in the morning grazing. Yosemite Vally is where Half Dome, El Cap, the big falls, etc., and tons of tourist are in the summer. Happy trails to the funniest hikers I know of.
Awesome stretch. I’m especially enjoying this series as I too went SOBO through the Sierra, last September after reaching the Northern Terminus. I must have missed it, but what is your overall itinerary for this trip, how far are you giong? Hike on!
26 miles! You guys are machines! The falls were beautiful and great views. Was that a cabin or some kind of shed at 6:29? Did it look inhabited? You're all doing great! Take care.
Surely one of the most beautiful places on Earth. In a way, you’re lucky - the Tuolumne Meadows campground is closed this season. Otherwise, you would have encountered hordes of people and cars.
Most of the major (and many not so major) trails were originally constructed for use by livestock. And have been maintained for well over a century by crews supplied and fully supported by livestock. In other words, no livestock, little to no trails.
What's happened to the format?? You begin wif a wrapup and do today's wrapup before you finish? This really throws my game off. I usually take a walk while ya'll yada yada yada and return to see the trees and rocks. sigh ;-) What happened to Denim Dan and Hazel? They don't git royalties now. "If you don't have pics it didn't happen." And why ya'll sleepin' where dem hosses are 'posed to be sleepin'? Hosses r peoples too! IINM, trails can be built for horses AND humans. We did it in WA. It could be argued if used solely by either it should b reserved for beings less than horses weigh if not less than any quads except canines. Just my 2c but I built trails so am not just the weekend warrior who, if gauged by residents of Sandy Eggo county, never does. I might add: Aren't those stables a private enterprise? Aren't those trails public lands which use public monies to maintain? Reminds me of the cattlemen who destroy 'rangelands' located on public lands at the expense of us all. Don't git me stawted.

Such beautiful scenery. I really look forward to watching your videos every day.
Luv the Tuolumne Meadows - entry into Yosemite.
Camping areas off the trail above the meadow
The Sierras and area where you are today, are so awesomely beautiful! Loving this hike with you!❤❤

That waterfall was gorgeous! Such an amazing stretch of the PCT.

Congrats on a ‘Marathon’ hike day. Sleep in boys.
4:34 - ankle twisting terrain.

Haven’t seen much of Mountain goat and Denim Dan in the videos recently. Do they get up earlier and head out together?

I'm a young man.
