I'm just saying Bakuya to Ruka to wait before she activated her Bankai so he could flee to a safer area. Also, Hitsugaya was one of the first Bankai we see and he always gets wrecked. In my opinion he is one of the most over hyped characters in Bleach. I can't remember the last time he took a win, but he is the youngest person in soul society to make Captain and unlock Bankai.

For example, Yamamoto's 4 different Bankai abilities are a result of the time he's been alive and the result of endlessly developing Bankai. Her FIRST USAGE of it seems way more impressive even than Karakura Arc Toshiro Bankai so imagine if she has 100+ years of training with it. But also Toshiro will be developing his as well. The real question is the direction they develop and how their ice identities will differ from each other. Toshiro's seems to develop the ice armor itself and increase his frontline capabilities. Bigger wings, tail, arms and legs covered with ice etc. Whereas Rukia's is more a mage type big AoE effect.

They are technically different abilities. Rukia has the strongest cold type zanpoktou. They aren't equal in experience, toshiro is a prodigy. Toshiro has more versatility with his banki and what it can do. His ability to freeze spiritual abilities and prevent them from activating is powerful. However, rukias absolute zero is likely to do the same in a physical sense due to absolute zero shutting down molecular movement. But given time to train and develop the skill and confidence, both characters probably have the strength to reach trancendent status.

rukia's bankai is only dangerous because she isn't use to it. she can't be hurt during her bankai, only when thawing. rukia goes to absolute 0, atoms don't move at that temperature, so if she was to be stabbed the knife would just stop moving as it touched her skin. blasts of energy would just dissipate. the only way she could get hurt is if she warms herself, which is what we saw, because she warmed herself to quickly and cracked some skin. that's a skill issue not a risk.
@@NoESanity while I agree with that, you're missing the fact that Daiguren Hyorinmaru also has the ability to control the flow of water molecules. Therefore, since her body is still technically consistent of water molecules, even if sedentary, are still able to move. But they need an outer force to manipulate it. Since it is not specified if her blood was separated from her body during her bankai, it is very possible for him to use that against her. And like you said, her bankai is also her greatest weakness.

I actually feel like she's in the weird situation that due to her swords abilities she'd have a much better time against him than other normal opponents solely because her shikai and banki effectively give her 100% resistence to cold type attacks. You can't get colder than absolute zero, that's as frozen to the core as anything can get. So even though he has significant AP, her specialized defensive power in this match-up would make it really hard for hitsugaya to land a lasting hit.

She can only maintain Absolute Zero for like 4-5 seconds before she starts to seriously hurt herself and even then she has to go up to that temperature gradually or it just completely kills her. In banki, she does reach absolute zero for a few seconds, and that duration and level of control has probably expanded with her experience with the banki, considering we were observing its first actual combat use. As far as we know, hitsugaya still has to go through the maturation ritual before he gets access to his true banki, so she has the time to dip down to those temperatures before he has access to flash freezing.

Rukia will be decimated by Toshiro. Toshiro has more experience, has more reiatsu, more kido arsenals (knowing that his zanpakuto is kido based), toshiro is more agile and his shunpo could be more superior compared to Rukia. Rukia Bankai upon Release is OP and almost instantaneous. Made her unable to move though. Toshiro bankai is progressing to be more OP each petal fells he grow strongers. So Rukia going from 100 power to 0 in Bankai mode, Toshiro going from 0 to 100 power in Bankai mode. Rukia could retain her absolute zero temperature for only 5 sec. If she misses the hit, she can't defeat Toshiro. Toshiro could cast a lot of ice based Kido from his shikai power alone. So, Rukia will be decimated.
We need to remember that Shunsui Kyōraku & Jūshirō Ukitake both said the Toshiro would surpass them in sheer power and skill eventually. This was way before the revelation of his adult form.
Rukia’s bankai is like an “I win” bomb. Once you’re in the danger zone she can unleash it and you’re done. But if she fails to get you then she’s stuck waiting for her temperature to rise or she’ll hurt herself. Hitsugaya’s is more like going up to a higher tier of super saiyan. All of his capabilities are enhanced to the nth degree, but since he’s so young his ability to use it is limited. He’ll probably be Shunsui’s successor if he lives long enough, given how capable he already is at his “young” age. We all know he’s older than us though. XD
One advantage Rukia’s bankai has over Toshiro’s is her opponent gets turned into ice, instead of incased in ice. Tier Hallibel and Cang Du got incased in ice, but were broken out and survived. As Rukia’s bankai turned As Nodt into a statue of ice and crumpled away

Hitsugaya's has more Spiritual Pressure and experience with his zanpakuto. It's also been stated that it's the most powerful ice type zanpakuto. Post Royal Realm training, Rukia is quite formidable, and could quite possibly beat Hitsugaya as seen in most of the series, but adult Hitsugaya's completed bankai is on-par with Byakuya's bankai post Royal Realm training.
I think it’s hard to compare these two in terms of who is stronger. Both have loads of potential. I think that Toshiro has come closer to fully realizing that potential so would probably win in a fight. But I think Rukia has the ability to surpass him someday though we haven’t seen that yet.
Hitsugaya freezes concepts. Rukia cannot. She is purely Ice. Toshiro don't give a fuck he freezes tangible and intangible shit and negates its function.
I would say that rukia is oposite from yama, he can heat everything to 15m degrees, and rukia can freeze everything to absolute zero, toshiro cant freeze it to that point.

Since Rukia is able to move at absolute zero she can still move and attack while frozen so Toshiro's ice attacks won't do much. Absolute Zero literally stops life in the real world. You forgot that rukia is “dead” even when byakuya touch her he gets frozen too. Have you put an ice cube in a drink for a few min then take it put against a colder ice cube taht is basically the concept rukia will dominate she is true ice. Thats why toshiro ice is bluish and rukia is white

Both are ice type, but totally different in concept. Every bankai and zanpakuto always have it's own concept. Rukia is kind of Snow White tale concept. From shikai to bankai, she will release the story by chanting the title. Her bankai concept is domain ice type by making herself the thermostat tuner. While Toshiro's is mythical dragon based who could control ice element. It's also similar like Yama and Isshin.
Rukia's current bankai is the archetype of women's hax in animes and videogames, taken to its extreme : Incredible "destructive" power and very bad defense.

The manga and anime explicitly state she controls the temapture... that is atomic energy, not ice. Rukia freezes things which toshiro could use, maybe at a distance, but the scary thing about rukia is that she's manipulating EVERYTHING'S temperature in a certain radius. Ever since, Rukia hasnt been applauded as a high reiatsu shinigami. And that is where they differ, Toshiro has oozing reiatsu that Kyoraku noticed, Yama has praised, and toe to toe with Kenpachi and Byakuya at matured state. Even if Rukias bankai is colder or whatever, their reiatsu reserve differences is high thus, making Toshiro even as a kid, untouchable by Rukia
Hitsugaya has so much potential but the thing is he’s too soft against some his enemies. (except Aizen he hates him) When he was zombiefied he wasn’t holding back his strength and showed how powerful and dangerous he could be.
Ive said it before, I'll say it again: Hitsugaya' s Bankai freezes and controls ice. Rukia's Bankai *literally* turns your molecules into ice. Its the different between getting locked in a freezer, and becoming an ice sculpture. Rukia takes it in destructive power, Toshiro takes it in fighting capabilities.

There is nothing magic about absolute zero. In fact, it's not even a real, valid temperature - you can never cool anything down to absolute zero. You can reach temperatures arbitrarily close to absolute zero, but under no circumstances could you ever cool an ice cube (or any object) down to that temperature.

Rukia's Zampakutou is about temperature control. She doesn't control properly the ice, but, instead, she lowers the temperature of things. Toshiro, on the other hand, creates and control ice and controls water. Rukia has "internal" control whereas Toshiro got "external" control.
If toshiro lands an attack on rukia then it's game over and if rukia is able to land an attack on toshi then it's over for him. Over all toshi's bankai a lot better for long fights and not get recoil from using it.

It's not just that her bankai makes thing cold. It's that it drops them to absolute zero. There is *no energy* in the system at that point. Kinetic included. Meaning the ability to control and move ice doesn't really mean much, if it gets hit this. Like, come on, her bankai literally breaks physics on a massive scale.
Toshiro(at least so far anime-wise) extracts moisture from the atmosphere to generate his ice as well, while iirc, Rukia's ice is produced independently of the moisture, her power more being based on the absolute zero stuff

Given that her zanpoktou gives her control of her own body temperature up to absolute zero, she literally has 100% resistence to all of his cold based attacks. For those of you who dont understand physics. Water doesnt disintegrate at absolute zero. Absolute zero is the same as −459.67°F and −273.15°C. Water will just turn into ice instantaneously. Water also doesnt disintegrate. Water can decompose into hydrogen and oxygen at 10,000°F but as soon as the temperature drops hydrogen and oxygen will recombine into water.
Isn't Toshiro's zanpakuto mentioned to be the strongest Ice type zanpakuto? I'd assume that Toshiro has the stronger zanpakuto. Similar to how Yamamoto had the strongest fire zanpakuto, but there were still other Soul Reapers who had fire type zanpakuto like Rose.
Adult toshiro's bankai is even more powerful compared to rukia. Even Yamamoto admired toshiro's abilities and said that he might even has the potential to surpass him

Without a doubt Rukia is an excellent shinigami but putting it into perspective both Toshiro and his adult version would arguably be Rukia’s greatest opponent, however, Rukia would not be in Toshiro’s top 3 strongest opponents. shikai, rukia wins all day. Bankai, i have to give it to toshiro although we have yet to see a mastered bankai from rukia. But there is something to be said about rukia having the colder bankai and being pretty much immune to anything but the physical ice of toshiros attacks.
I would love to see them team up against an opponent. Think about it, Rukia controls the temperature while Toshiro controls the ice itself. His ice dragon would get an amazing power boost.
To be frank, if she gets to the point where she can remain in banki, absolute zero has some similar concept defying feats: stopping molecular aging, having her entire body become one fused macro-molecule (indestructible), being 100% immune to any lighting based abilities (zero resistence, 100% efficient current). The list goes on.
Based on manga feeds and also the amount of fights they've won, plus the hax and the amount of experience toshiro is getting the dub since he has more experience plus he's physically stronger, plus his bonkai can literally just freeze the fucking planet if he wanted to.
Toshiro's Bankai can control the atmosphere and weather itself, pretty sure it was also stated to be the strongest Ice/Water type Zanpukto in soul Society and a mirror to Yamammoto's own Fire Type. Even in his child form of Bankai it was strong enough that he himself stated using weather manipulation risked killing everyone during the Fake Karakura town battle if he lost control of it. In his adult form the only people who can even compete with him are Kenpachi and Kuroku.
Rukia's type of zanpakutou, or atleast her Bankai is not the "ice" in which physically like creating ice block, or making ice wall or ice prison, etc. She was more like the "Cold" which is more focused on the temperature.

Toshiro's seems to develop the ice armor itself and increase his frontline capabilities. Bigger wings, tail, arms and legs covered with ice etc. Whereas Rukia's is more a mage type big AoE effect.

Toshiro has more versatility with his banki and what it can do. His ability to freeze spiritual abilities and prevent them from activating is powerful. However, rukias absolute zero is likely to do the same in a physical sense due to absolute zero shutting down molecular movement.
But given time to train and develop the skill and confidence, both characters probably have the strength to reach trancendent status.

rukia goes to absolute 0, atoms don't move at that temperature, so if she was to be stabbed the knife would just stop moving as it touched her skin. blasts of energy would just dissipate. the only way she could get hurt is if she warms herself, which is what we saw, because she warmed herself to quickly and cracked some skin. that's a skill issue not a risk.

Therefore, since her body is still technically consistent of water molecules, even if sedentary, are still able to move. But they need an outer force to manipulate it. Since it is not specified if her blood was separated from her body during her bankai, it is very possible for him to use that against her. And like you said, her bankai is also her greatest weakness.

I actually feel like she's in the weird situation that due to her swords abilities she'd have a much better time against him than other normal opponents solely because her shikai and banki effectively give her 100% resistence to cold type attacks. You can't get colder than absolute zero, that's as frozen to the core as anything can get. So even though he has significant AP, her specialized defensive power in this match-up would make it really hard for hitsugaya to land a lasting hit.

As far as we know, hitsugaya still has to go through the maturation ritual before he gets access to his true banki, so she has the time to dip down to those temperatures before he has access to flash freezing.

All of his capabilities are enhanced to the nth degree, but since he’s so young his ability to use it is limited. He’ll probably be Shunsui’s successor if he lives long enough, given how capable he already is at his “young” age. We all know he’s older than us though. XD

Hitsugaya's has more Spiritual Pressure and experience with his zanpakuto. It's also been stated that it's the most powerful ice type zanpakuto.
Post Royal Realm training, Rukia is quite formidable, and could quite possibly beat Hitsugaya as seen in most of the series, but adult Hitsugaya's completed bankai is on-par with Byakuya's bankai post Royal Realm training.

I think it’s hard to compare these two in terms of who is stronger. Both have loads of potential. I think that Toshiro has come closer to fully realizing that potential so would probably win in a fight. But I think Rukia has the ability to surpass him someday though we haven’t seen that yet.

Since Rukia is able to move at absolute zero she can still move and attack while frozen so Toshiro's ice attacks won't do much. Absolute Zero literally stops life in the real world. Both are ice type, but totally different in concept. Every bankai and zanpakuto always have it's own concept. Rukia is kind of Snow White tale concept. From shikai to bankai, she will release the story by chanting the title. Her bankai concept is domain ice type by making herself the thermostat tuner. While Toshiro's is mythical dragon based who could control ice element. It's also similar like Yama and Isshin.

The manga and anime explicitly state she controls the temapture... that is atomic energy, not ice. She doesn't control ice, she doesn't create ice, she lowers the temapture, even in her shikai her dances lower the temapture in an area to near absolute 0, the creation of ice is a byproduct.

Rukia freezes things which toshiro could use, maybe at a distance, but the scary thing about rukia is that she's manipulating EVERYTHING'S temperature in a certain radius. Temperature that immediately hits the body. I'd imagine a steady state shunpo could help as Temperature is directly correlated to speed and toshiro would have to move real quick if he's manipulating ice that rukia creates.... imma just say... whatever they'd do for that would be creative. Ever since, Rukia hasnt been applauded as a high reiatsu shinigami. And that is where they differ, Toshiro has oozing reiatsu that Kyoraku noticed, Yama has praised, and toe to toe with Kenpachi and Byakuya at matured state. Even if Rukias bankai is colder or whatever, their reiatsu reserve differences is high thus, making Toshiro even as a kid, untouchable by Rukia

Rukia's Zampakutou is about temperature control. She doesn't control properly the ice, but, instead, she lowers the temperature of things. Toshiro, on the other hand, creates and control ice and controls water.
Rukia has "internal" control whereas Toshiro got "external" control.
If toshiro lands an attack on rukia then it's game over and if rukia is able to land an attack on toshi then it's over for him. Over all toshi's bankai a lot better for long fights and not get recoil from using it.
rukia's bankai is better for defence and has no recoil from use.

Also the bankai takes a lot of time to get over with and one shot from toshi and she will be shattered on the ground. She can't even move a finger cuz that can take it off. It's not just that her bankai makes thing cold. It's that it drops them to absolute zero. There is *no energy* in the system at that point. Kinetic included. Meaning the ability to control and move ice doesn't really mean much, if it gets hit this.

Toshiro(at least so far anime-wise) extracts moisture from the atmosphere to generate his ice as well, while iirc, Rukia's ice is produced independently of the moisture, her power more being based on the absolute zero stuff
To add on to this, I think Rukia's power is better in theory, but that Toshiro would win probably 100% of the time, as just unlocking Bankai doesn't make you as strong as anyone else with a Bankai

Not necessarily. While his controls ice, hers is just the pure concept of cold. The air and water vapor just happen to be a common medium. Given that her zanpoktou gives her control of her own body temperature up to absolute zero, she literally has 100% resistence to all of his cold based attacks. So she has the weird opportunity of being a complete mismatch for him even if she is weaker.

So with training she can increase her time limit. Which is why people say she can move in and train with her Bankai, just that she needs a very big open field to do so.

For those of you who dont understand physics. Water doesnt disintegrate at absolute zero. Absolute zero is the same as −459.67°F and −273.15°C. Water will just turn into ice instantaneously. Water also doesnt disintegrate. Water can decompose into hydrogen and oxygen at 10,000°F but as soon as the temperature drops hydrogen and oxygen will recombine into water.
Isn't Toshiro's zanpakuto mentioned to be the strongest Ice type zanpakuto? I'd assume that Toshiro has the stronger zanpakuto. Similar to how Yamamoto had the strongest fire zanpakuto, but there were still other Soul Reapers who had fire type zanpakuto like Rose.

Rukia's bankai has one major flaw and it's that she can't move. If she moves to quickly while her body returns to normal, she'll break.
She can prob practice and mayby she can freeze attoms to make others slower who knows

shikai, rukia wins all day. Bankai, i have to give it to toshiro although we have yet to see a mastered bankai from rukia. But there is something to be said about rukia having the colder bankai and being pretty much immune to anything but the physical ice of toshiros attacks.
I would love to see them team up against an opponent. Think about it, Rukia controls the temperature while Toshiro controls the ice itself. His ice dragon would get an amazing power boost.

To be frank, if she gets to the point where she can remain in banki, absolute zero has some similar concept defying feats: stopping molecular aging, having her entire body become one fused macro-molecule (indestructible), being 100% immune to any lighting based abilities (zero resistence, 100% efficient current). Based on manga feeds and also the amount of fights they've won, plus the hax and the amount of experience toshiro is getting the dub since he has more experience plus he's physically stronger, plus his bonkai can literally just freeze the fucking planet if he wanted to.
Toshiro's Bankai can control the atmosphere and weather itself, pretty sure it was also stated to be the strongest Ice/Water type Zanpukto in soul Society and a mirror to Yamammoto's own Fire Type.
Even in his child form of Bankai it was strong enough that he himself stated using weather manipulation risked killing everyone during the Fake Karakura town battle if he lost control of it.
In his adult form the only people who can even compete with him are Kenpachi and Kuroku.

Rukia's type of zanpakutou, or atleast her Bankai is not the "ice" in which physically like creating ice block, or making ice wall or ice prison, etc. She was more like the "Cold" which is more focused on the temperature.
