    All respect to the SAS, from a former Brit infantryman. However, in Andy McNab's book 7 Troop, he states that after leaving the service, former members of the regiment have a high suicide rate. I hope that the British government is now offering psychological help to these brave warriors, who deserve all the help on offer. Read 7 Troop, it's a sad story but one that should be known.

      It's a high suicide rate for any ex-SF operators. Very sad how much they give, and how poorly they are looked after. They are essentially the major league professional athletes of our militaries, which in my books means they are a fair bit more important than any sport's athlete, and yet they don't receive even a fraction of the medical care, the pay, or the respect when they are done. It's a thankless job that asks everything of you, and offers you little to nothing in return beyond the satisfaction of knowing you played a vital role in defending your country... a country, mind you, that is filled with people who hate you, and led by idiots (mostly) that you don't understand.

    • @robwilton9539
      @robwilton9539 Год назад

      It is a very sad fact that many ex-forces personnel do commit suicide. Not just special forces although the transition from super high efficiency and effectiveness to the civilian world of ineptitude and inadequacy would undoubtedly seem even more unbearable to them. Add to this the realisation that the life that made you feel alive was now over and depression is almost inevitable.

    I remember a while ago during the 2nd Gulf war,an American general said the S.A.S doesn’t need to rely on gadgets,they’ll get the job done with a toothbrush. And Delta and S.A.S/S.B.S work remarkably well together. In Iraq (can’t remember the village) both forces were housed in the same building,they knocked through a dividing wall and Thursday night would be their BBQ night and get together. Total and utmost respect to everyone on both sides of the pond.

    It's commonly said that there is no problem that cannot be resolved by the application of high explosives. It seems that we can now add to that the following. There is no mission or problem that cannot be resolved or eliminated by the stealthy and determined application of combined SAS, SEAL TEAM 6, DELTA, SBS, Parachute Regiment, Rangers and their assets. This bond, this standing together and having each other's backs must always and forever stand firm. We are stronger together than apart. As an American I thank the British military, most notably the SAS and their other special operations assets. Thank you for your courage, skill, determination and mindset to ALWAYS win, regardless of the odds. You truly are a formidable force. Thank you all for your service. Chris Needham Indeed, I was lucky enough as a young teenager to witness the storming of the Iranian embassy on TV (bunked off school). Ever since then I’ve been a huge follower of our special forces and what they do for our country. True warriors in every sense of the word, we owe them all a debt of gratitude for what they do and for the most part we will never find out about.
      This country as a whole should be more grateful and respectful of all our armed forces and veterans and should put them before immigrants and the rest of us, sadly we have veterans sleeping on the streets while we have isis members and sympathisers scrounging off the state and being given housing. Disgusting, I’m so ashamed of our country and what it has become🤬

He was over here on his own but said he was allowed to claim benefits for all his kids who aren't even in this country? How the fuck does that work? Handouts to build a house, never paid a penny into our country yet is allowed to come over to claim that much in handouts and for kids thousands of miles away.
