All respect to the SAS, from a former Brit infantryman. However, in Andy McNab's book 7 Troop, he states that after leaving the service, former members of the regiment have a high suicide rate. I hope that the British government is now offering psychological help to these brave warriors, who deserve all the help on offer. Read 7 Troop, it's a sad story but one that should be known.
It's a high suicide rate for any ex-SF operators. Very sad how much they give, and how poorly they are looked after. They are essentially the major league professional athletes of our militaries, which in my books means they are a fair bit more important than any sport's athlete, and yet they don't receive even a fraction of the medical care, the pay, or the respect when they are done. It's a thankless job that asks everything of you, and offers you little to nothing in return beyond the satisfaction of knowing you played a vital role in defending your country... a country, mind you, that is filled with people who hate you, and led by idiots (mostly) that you don't understand.
It is a very sad fact that many ex-forces personnel do commit suicide. Not just special forces although the transition from super high efficiency and effectiveness to the civilian world of ineptitude and inadequacy would undoubtedly seem even more unbearable to them. Add to this the realisation that the life that made you feel alive was now over and depression is almost inevitable.

The sas are the best of the best period end of debate. Delta force is America's top tier sf even over any seal team, and they were originally trained by the sas and adopted alot of their tatics and training.
@Milkchocolatte1 True but the US has been leading the way in tactics, Doctrine, and development since the 90s. The British, Dutch and even the Australians have based their Special operations Commands off of the American JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command). We all learn from each other in the end. It's in part why Task Force Black was integrated into JSOC and led by an American General.
Thank you Albert Johnson people are so quick to give their 2 cents on topics that they know very little about I can't remember his name ritenow but a former delta nickned Shrek with a long white goate has a vid where he tells stories of sas operators coming to America and vice versa to train delta operators so I guess for eveyone that disagrees with that would imply that their own operators are lying? From what I know; Many buildings there are cheap cinderblock with drywall/paint. Small arms let alone a 30mm should be able to get through that. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@Ben White Although what you say is true, due to the areas where TFB operated were Urban, a Bradley's cannon could in fact level a building. We were a little taken back by the perceived heavy handed size of the team, but then being American, it sort of made sense to me and the other lads. Nation States - Why many fellow Scots don’t want to see this is crazy, as much as London Rule has been shit for Scotland (it’s been shit for everyone). It doesn’t mean that culturally we are any different, many Scots forget that we have been fighting and dying together for the Union Jack, across the globe for 300+ years.
@@TheBenchPressMan nicely put mate
Yep just a shame that Britain turning into a dump that don't support there soldiers enough
macfail Taft but it’s okay to shit on the welsh. As far back as I can remember growing up in surrey. We called most welsh folks sheep shaggers and they called us tories but everyone here either backs up labour or the liberal democratic so. They just shag sheep and they don’t know anything
Everybody should give props to the sas as a unit and to all of them that warfare and training have killed. They taught us how to do it. They made up a new way to fight and they do it SO GOOD.
My uncle successfully aided in the release of SAS hostages in either iraq or Afghanistan I forget which, he got a medal for it, bravest man I've ever known, major james woodham take a bow I salute you sir
@Raj Maj at the time he was a major, he has had several promotions since then
@Raj Maj from what I remember he was a major, but my newspaper clipping says Lt col so you may also be right, one thing I definitely know is he got awarded the military cross and I couldn't have been more proud, sucked when they refused my application
@Raj Maj major general now mad how he climbed up the ladder
All lot of respect for these people!! I hope I get a chance to serve and help the world like these people.
“Serve and help the world” what fantasy are you living? You will simply become a pawn of the global oligarchy, suppressing the common folk of any country that upsets their gravy train.
11:00 You forgot to black out the face of one of the soldiers. Quite the oversight really, seeing as he is the goodest of the soldiers and deserves all the medals and head pats.
Skippy19812 if the picture is online without censoring it means the soldier is retired or dead

Mark Urban has written a great book about UK Special Forces in Iraq - in partiucluar Task force Black
That helo shot was something else
We as a Nation are just so proud and extremely grateful to have these Battle Hardened Warriors watching over and protecting our country without a thought for themselves and day in and day out doing seemly impossible Missions with Courage Bravery Absolute Skill and Mindblowing Determination to fulfill and Succeed in making the Impossible Possible mostly in Secret and mostly unknown they are truly Giants of Men who don’t want publicity or gratitude but I think they deserve the thanks of their NATION. thank you to the British Forces and our Brilliant Allies. God Bless You All xxxxxx
@@asce9182 Why would the SAS use American tactics since they wrote the book on everything.Absolutely wrong. The dutch have an army lol.
People just need to make sure they're right on subjects before arguing about it. It just displays their ignorance.
@@paulchandler9646 Mainly because American units have a huge wealth of combat experience. The US has written the doctrine on Counter Terrorism in recent years. Units like the 75th Ranger Regiment are the most combat experienced in the world since they've been actively deployed on Combat operations since 2001. This article gives a little insight: thenewsrep.com/111253/the-global-influence-and-effect-of-american-sof/
@@benwarner6761 It would also be wise to know that John "Shrek" McPhee The Delta Force Operator you were referring to is also quoted saying "The American Warfighter is the Finest Warfighter in the world".
The Brits 🇬🇧 are tough AF and very well trained. Cheers from USA 🇺🇸
There is a book called Task Force Black--- highly recommend reading it
Very good indeed. Found a cracking channel here.
That was really good,thank you
I salute these men, their instructors, and their families.
Some bad ass heros for sure. 💪🏼👍🏼
These are awesome episodes, what a great channel!!
It's good that there are people who are willing to put themselves forward for this type of work. 🇬🇧🍺👍cheers lads.
Chris Needham Indeed, I was lucky enough as a young teenager to witness the storming of the Iranian embassy on TV (bunked off school). Ever since then I’ve been a huge follower of our special forces and what they do for our country. True warriors in every sense of the word, we owe them all a debt of gratitude for what they do and for the most part we will never find out about.
This country as a whole should be more grateful and respectful of all our armed forces and veterans and should put them before immigrants and the rest of us, sadly we have veterans sleeping on the streets while we have isis members and sympathisers scrounging off the state and being given housing. Disgusting, I’m so ashamed of our country and what it has become🤬
@@UAPJedi ......... My father was one of the first to land on Gold Beach on D-Day, a very brave man who had a reserved occupation and volunteered for the invasion of Europe. So I have been raised to respect the sacrifices of others. 🇬🇧👍
@@UAPJedi Yeah mate I agree with everything you said, it sickens me to hear how they don't always get the best support from our government. There should be no expense spared for all our forces, if they're willing to risk their lives they should get given whatever kit they need for the job and they shouldn't need to struggle for anything once retired from our armed forces, like you say it sometimes feels like our politicians care more about being seen to give our enemies and terrorists a fair go.
@@mattgosling2657 why is your government so lenient in terms of immigration?
@@yourdeath7820 I don't know mate, it pisses me right off. Only last week I watched a documentary about people claiming benefits. It was showing a guy from Romania who had come over on a coach full of other men, he was here to claim enough benefits to send enough home every week so that after 10 years he had worked it out he'd have been given enough to build a big new house back home. He was over here on his own but said he was allowed to claim benefits for all his kids who aren't even in this country? How the fuck does that work? Handouts to build a house, never paid a penny into our country yet is allowed to come over to claim that much in handouts and for kids thousands of miles away. He said him and his mates weren't here to work, also they were all preparing a big meal on TV and he said we don't have any money so we steal all our food from the shops, stuff like this winds me right up. How can that shit be right and allowed to happen? And if you speak out against it, you're seen as a fuckin racist, there's nothing great about Britain these days.
Bradley moved up and leveled the compound... Glad 11M in there getting some work done

''American Bradly Fighting Vehicle moved forward and leveled the compound.''
For some reason I find it oddly comforting to know that the S.A.S. lets us help. Must have been a slow day. lol
Bradleys tend not to be able to level buildings, even with tow missiles....just a bit of hype.
@@1moderntalking1 building, is here a loosly defined term including the mud type" buildings" that Isis and al Qaeda find comfortable. So, yeah, a Bradly with a 20mm cannon on board could take it out easily. No problem. It's an armored vehicle. Or weren't you paying attention?
Join the services before you join the conversation. O.K. Sherlock?
From what I know; Many buildings there are cheap cinderblock with drywall/paint. Small arms let alone a 30mm should be able to get through that. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@Ben White this wasn't urban Irag. This was Ramadi. And obviously YOU have never been there. So....stfu!
@Ben White Although what you say is true, due to the areas where TFB operated were Urban, a Bradley's cannon could in fact level a building. I've seen much footage of the SFOD'D calling in for armor support in downtown Baghdad and letting them rip. Even at some points using their Pandurs as battering Rams. So, not impossible. But anything below 12.7 would most likely be ate up or defected by those structures.
Brilliant stuff 🇬🇧 by SAS 👍.

Thank you to all the personnel that do these jobs. This is why we need at least a 100 thousand soldiers and more for the navy and raf and we need to spend more money on technology that all personnel an have.

The British guy had went to Iraq to oppose the coalition, but then he was rescued by the same people he had went to oppose in the first place!
This alone says so much about who is right and who is evil in this global struggle against the Islamic Jihad.
Do the Delta forces Al baghdadi raid that sounded interesting
Bringing in the brits into jsoc was very smart
An American tier 1 detachment, code name Jocko was air dropped in to reinforce the men on the ground. A trooper on the ground made the following report:
_”We observed a dust cloud indicative of a column of vehicles, our radio man told us it was the Americans Jocko team inbound. We were a little taken back by the perceived heavy handed size of the team, but then being American, it sort of made sense to me and the other lads. We were especially taken back when detachment Jocko crested the hill and approached the compound… it was one, seriously massive guy… his name was Jocko.”_
9:40 The guy standing in the middle of the photo to the left (75th Ranger Regiment) is Matt Best.

And in our beds we sleep soundly because of these great men. Be it over the pond or here in the UK we all rest easy.

The chessboard graphics and the approaches were good.Maybe not a two dimensional thing because it involves things that fly.But I can visualize it.
Read a book on Task Force Black, very good read and interesting to see how the early days of Iraq played out
Wow, the bringing down of the C-130 came as a total shock to me, I hadn’t heard about it either on the news, social media or the grapevine, I had worked with Robert O’Connor and Richard Brown, but in the context of this video I am not totally surprised, Rest In Peace my comrades and those who were alongside you. Lest we Forget.
KIA and the two guys who volunteered to extract him are true heroes.
can you imagine being the guy who shot down a c-130 and then captured alive by SAS?
May I ask which program you use when you are doing those visual explanations with the black textured background like at 3.19. Your videos look great and are very effective. The black textured/cloth like backdrop is really effective with whiteboard type info and photography. Thanks and keep up the great work.
For my first three videos I used Adobe Premiere Pro, but with it being too complicated at times I switched over to Magix Video Maker which is the program I have been using for the past eight or so months.
The black textured background is actually just a high resolution carbon fibre background, which I then add the text / images onto in Magix Video Maker. Glad you like it!
It’s cool cause I ended up joining the us army in July 05 and I didn’t get down range until late 06 . I have no idea why I wanted to get there so quick . It’s all fun n games till rounds start flying by . Thank you to all the troops that served
