I remember doing strike ops with the SAS in the weeks after Hollingsworth was killed. I was with 2 Rifles in Basra at the time. My platoon was to secure the house once the SAS had done the high risk entry. They placed C4 on the gates to the compound, the blasts from the gates blew every door in the house. After that we came under heavy fire, once the prisoners where secure, a warrior had to reverse through a wall to allow us to extract, as bullets poured into the front yard. It was highlight of my career, getting to work with the superhero’s. All of the SAS lads where humble, friendly and scary as fuck.
@Skid Thanks for you service sir, would you say the SAS were real expert marksmen in combat? Like being able to shoot and move quick with such precision sort of thing, just wondering what their marksmanship skill is like. As individuals were they like snipers?
@@Bullet-Tooth-Tony- im not an expert, but from my experience they was more specialised in tracking and neutralising high risk targets ie kicking doors/intelligence led ops. on the ops i did non special forces snipers cover as we provided the outside protection so they could concentrate on breaching the house.
