I have sensitive skin and really love the Geek and Gorgeous C-glow, it’s really a fantastic fragrance-free product with 15% ascorbic acid, vitamin E and Ferulic acid and never caused me any irritation. It’s really fresh and takes at least 3-4 months to oxidise if you keep it in the fridge. And let’s not forget how incredible affordable it is, highly recommend it!
I wanted to try this one as well, but I can't seem to use any kind of straight ascorbic acid. With super sensitive skin and rosacea, the best vitamin c I've been able to use is magnesium ascorbyl phosphate. It's definitely not as strong as ascorbic acid, but it's less activating on the skin which is a good thing with rosacea!
Thank you for this video, Kelly! I love antioxidants. Right now I am alternating between two from Garden of Wisdom: their MariTyme Gel that features pycnogenol, green tea extract and beta glucans and their Advanced Telomere Repair and AntiAging Serum featuring resveratrol, grape seed extract, pomegranate seed oil and glutathione. I find them very soothing and comforting on the skin -- they make my skin feel complete or more complete, if that makes any sense. The Telomere Repair serum has a natural scent that reminds me of celery a little bit; the Marityme Gel does not have a scent. Tried PC Vitamin C Booster but felt it didn't really do much for me then it oxidized before I got a chance to completely empty the bottle. Am wanting to try Vitamin X by Regimen Labs -- it looks terrific. Have a great week!
Hi Kelly my skin just doesn't tolerate ascorbic acid - the low ph watery formulations burn/sting and the water free formulations turn my skin orange - not a good look on ultra pale skin lol. Instead I use retinoids and other antioxidants for the benefits mentioned - retinoid and niacinamide for collagen boosting and other ingredients for protection from pollution etc. As an all round excellent morning antioxidant serum the Niod survival 0 is a favourite and one of the more affordable Niod products. For a budget buy the IL Q10 serum is really good, or the resveratrol and ferrulic acid from TO. Many of my favourite multi benefit serums include antioxidants eg the purito unscented centella serum, the cosrx cica serum or the Klairs fundamental watery oil drop. I also get some antioxidants from my toners or essences, as ferments can have a decent antioxidant profile also. Despite the heavy focus on youtube around vitamin c serums as the "best" antioxidant, it is possible to get a wide variety of antioxidant benefits from other ingredients. Best wishes.
Hi, Kelly! Great video and lots of good products! You hooked me on that Amorepacific vintage essence, I wish I treat myself someday😁 I used to love vit C, but now that I'm a retinoid user - it can irritate my skin sometimes. Looking for gentler alternatives, I found NIOD Survival 0. I think you'll love it. For such a potent mix of antioxidants it is so gentle.
Love this concept - thank you! My favourites are Vitamin C and niacinamide. Like you I LOVE the Amore Pacific Vintage Single Extract Essence. I treated myself to one last year but, my goodness, I still cringe at the price paid! That said, the results were wonderful.
Great introduction 👍 I've already started with vitamin C in my morning routine to boost my SPF but now I have so many more ideas. I've got the Isntree green tea on order 😊
Thanks for introducing me to isntree green tea products. I think I’ve seen them before but I always confused them w innisfree which has fragrance. I just checked isntree ingredients, no red flags, and I can’t wait to try it.
I used to have several antioxidant products I use in the morning, but then I moved on to using just 1 which was NIOD’s Survival 0 and then finally settled on Regimen Lab’s Vitamin X.
It’s over a year but my fave is ‘pycnognol’. I think I’ve been using it since 2020. Love! Texture is wonderful. It’s actually one of my favourite serums. I would keep this if I had to declutter and bin several others.
Have you ever tried magnesium ascorbyl phosphate / MAP derivative of vitamin c? It's stabilized and much more gentle on sensitive skin. My favorite is actually the vitamin c serum from 100% Pure. I used to use a lot of their products but stopped all their products after I moved away from essential oils. However, I've never found any other vitamin c that I could use without irritation (and I tried a ton!!), and decided to go back to their vitamin c serum and it's great! It's also very hydrating in a stable water based formula, in addition to being irritation free on my very sensitive rosacea skin that can't handle any amount of ascorbic acid. Yes, MAP is slower to work than ascorbic acid, but for those with very sensitive skin or with rosacea like me, you may love this one! It really does work with all the vitamin c benefits just a little slower and with no warming/burning/activation on the skin.
Thanks for the recommendations, Kelly! Have you ever tried the Ordinary's "EUK 134 0.1%" and "Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%"? I've heard those are pretty strong antioxidants too, but are on the oily side.
Such a good video!! You are on a roll Kelly. Do you like the packaging of the AmorePacific essence? I have heard it spills easily and a lot of people don’t like it
Lovely roundup as always! Kelly have you tried isntree's green tea serum? They added additional EGCG as well as hydrating ingredients and I think you would love it- I love mine! They also came out with a gorgeous green tea cleanser as well! Would love to hear your thoughts
Great video, I really enjoyed this. I would love to see a review on the new Timeless 10% Vitamin C serum. I’d love to know if your sensitive skin can tolerate it
Kelly please do a whole video on Tretinoin. Has it made any major changes to your skin? Love Stratia night shift but want to move up to Tretinoin. Thanks🥰
Kelly Sitting here watching you I had an AH Ha moment. The rusty Orange -Red color is like our own melanin, That's how our skin protects itself. I'm in health care, wound care is very much American Old-school. Had a LPN argue with me that Hyaluronic acid in wound jelly would eat the good undamaged skin if you got it on the skin surrounding the wound. LOL its hard to help people and you know you can heal them. Its skin care !!!!
I don’t know if I have a favorite antioxidant. Haven’t thought much about it. I do use vitamin c & niacinamide daily. I could see green tea becoming a favorite because at least three of the products I use, include it high on the ingredients list.
Some days I do forget to put my Vit C back in the fridge. but can leaving it out and going back and forth from room temp to cold affect the formula over time?
Hi Kelly have u tried the timeless vit C serum? I also have sensitive skin and on prescription tretinoin. It didn't irritate my skin and exacerbate the dryness from tretinoin.
Same here… I love Timeless! It’s the only L-ascorbic acid I’ve used that hasn’t irritated my skin. And it lasts a long time if you keep it in the fridge 😎 worth every penny!
i’ve gotten super into mugwort from your recommendations, i think my favorite is my tried and true centella and 2-5% niacinimide for antioxidants. didn’t love my experience with ascorbic acid, too finicky and i didn’t see any brightening effect
Hey! Love your videos. Can you do a review on LUMENE NORDIC-C overnight brightening sleeping cream. Heard it’s cheap alternative of the Augustinas Bader cream.
I feel you! Tret/retinol works really well for my skin but vit c isn't gonna work for my skin long term! It's done wonders for other people I know but sometimes you just gotta follow what your skin tells you!
It’s always reassuring when Kelly recommends products you’re already using 😅
Thanks for the knowledge transfer - Skincare 101 course on Antioxidants completed. 😁
👍😀

My HG vitamin C 😎🥰

You’re amazing, Kelly!! Thank you for imparting your wisdom on this amazing channel! Thanks to you, I’m a more informed skincare consumer.
Agreed!

My morning routine is full of antioxidants and my evening routine is my hydrating anti-aging routine.
This is what I do, as well.
May I ask what your morning and nighttime routine are?? 🥰 🥰
Kelly always comes through 🙌🏽
I LOVEEE Pycnogenol and the Inkey's Q10 serum. Of course my Vit C too.
Thanks Kelly for answering my prayers with this video! I needed these recs!

Great info and delivery Kelly. I just Pyc, Niacinamide and Resveratrol all by TO usually in the am. 68 yo and better skin than I had at 45 or 50. ❤️
Nice video!
I really like the CoQ10 from Timeless, it also has Matrixal 3000 and HA.
Love this one! 🥰
You really make it easy to understand for everyone! That's a gift, Kelly!!🤗
Have a great day, Beautiful!🤩
Agreed!!
It’s not for everyone, I guess, but my favorite antioxidant by far is EUK. I notice improvement with this that I don’t notice using vitamin c.
Love it too, so underrated.
I would love to see a video on the Hado Labo moisturizers/creams. All I ever hear about is the cleansing oil
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your support!❤
Timeless serums are great too.

Yes! MAP and SAP are nice alternatives for sensitive skin but as you mention not as effective/fast as AA.
GREAT video Kelly! Lots of info and so digestible!! 👍🏼
Hi Kelly! Would love to see a video about best and worst of medi peel brand :)
Thanks for the recommendations, Kelly! Have you ever tried the Ordinary's "EUK 134 0.1%" and "Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3%"? I've heard those are pretty strong antioxidants too, but are on the oily side.
I tried TO resveratrol and it is oily. It isn't very heavy like marula oil or another heavy face oil, but it def feels oil based.
@@oceanbird. yes, pycnogenol feels oily too, it's because of propanediol - the penetration enhancer which is in all TO antioxidant formulas.
Kelly plz do a full dedicated hair care products video really want one.
I did one in January! ruclips.net/video/5PZX8keo2qc/видео.html Still use all these products
I use Stratia Night Shift as my neck cream and it's amazing. I use tretinoin on my face & Night Shift on my neck, perfect combo!!
Oh yes that's a great idea, it's just the right combo of effective and gentle!
@@KellyDriscoll Exactly!! Night Shift is the most effective gentle retinol cream I've ever found x
Amazing vid as always ❤️
Such a good video!! You are on a roll Kelly. Do you like the packaging of the AmorePacific essence? I have heard it spills easily and a lot of people don’t like it
Hmmm I didn't experience any issues with leaking but ofc I was super nervous to drop the heavy glass bottle! 😅
Hi Kelly! Could you review the Eucerin Q10 moisturizer? I've heard it's pretty good and really inexpensive! :)
Kelly....have you tried ginseng products? Its a good antioxidant to prevent wrinkles and to purify skin by enhancing blood circulation.
Lovely roundup as always! Kelly have you tried isntree's green tea serum? They added additional EGCG as well as hydrating ingredients and I think you would love it- I love mine! They also came out with a gorgeous green tea cleanser as well! Would love to hear your thoughts
I just discovered it this week! Can’t wait to try it as I’ve used and loved their other products for years.
Those are on their way to me now! Excited to try!
@@KellyDriscoll spoiler alert... their goregous! can't wait for a review
How about brewing your own green tea, letting it cool and using that on your face as a green tea toner?
Vielen Dank für dieses informative Video.

Glad you enjoyed it!💖
What do you think of The Ordinary | Resveratol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% and Differen Gel?
Great video, I really enjoyed this. I would love to see a review on the new Timeless 10% Vitamin C serum. I’d love to know if your sensitive skin can tolerate it

Just remember is your vitamin C in its pure form like l ascorbic acid use your peptides (Q10) in the evening

Is the effects of the inky list Q10 lasting? 🤔🤔 I know hyaluronic acid is a temporary kind of plumping. How does this compare?
I mix Pycnogenol with my Vitamin C serum.
Love the video! Where do you buy your stratia products? Is the only place to buy them on their website? Thank you!
You got it, the only place to get Stratia is through their website
Looking forward to starting my mini green tree toner today!
I've only ever heard it pronounced pick-NOJ-e-nol though.
Have you tried thew glow recipe guava vitamin C yet?

almost forgot about green tea!! love that too
Love your video, can we combine the Q10 with a vitamin c serum or peptide and retinol.
Yes you can use the Q10 with other antioxidants and peptides!
Great question, I love Q10
I would love to try the Amore Pacific green tea essence...
It's a really nice treat! Hope you get the opportunity to try it out!
Kelly, would the The Ordinary's Amino acids with vit B qualify as an antioxidant?
Hey! Love your videos. Can you do a review on LUMENE NORDIC-C overnight brightening sleeping cream. Heard it’s cheap alternative of the Augustinas Bader cream.
Had the pycnogyel ever broken you out or clogged pores?
Love the topic for today
Happy Tuesday Everyone
I would like to try Paula's choice C but I usually go back to Maelove's The Glowmaker. The formula works for my skin.
@Liz B I try to use up my serum with 3 months and I keep it in the fridge. So far none have oxidized 😀
What about mugwort and rice? Are these antioxidants as well?
Can you make a video and recommend some vit.c products, from the mildest product, maybe 🙆🏻♀️
Is Resveratrol, arbutin, and/or Azelaic antioxidants?
U r looking even prettier with that eye makeup
Which one of the antioxidants would you use for the rest ot your life if you had to pick o e @kelly?
Retinol/Tretinoin has all the benefits my particular skin needs/wants!
Please recommend a good 5 % niacinamide serum for super dry skin.
Stratia Liquid gold or their rewind serum are both nice!
Why, oh why do I want to try out everything? 😭
I was thinking of trying the 5% purito vitamin C but I hear people complaining of oxidation. Anyone yes had any problems with this formula?
What is your status with vitamin c today, do you have new favorites with a low percentage?
Many greetings from Denmark 🤩
I don't use it on my face since it always irritates my skin. I like Stratia C+C serum though, I use it on my neck and chest!
Had to give up on vitamin c. Just can't handle it but so many other options out there 🙌
me too! Every Vit C product I’ve tried is way too irritating. I’m saying this while being on prescription retinoids too. Lol
I feel you! Tret/retinol works really well for my skin but vit c isn't gonna work for my skin long term! It's done wonders for other people I know but sometimes you just gotta follow what your skin tells you!
Kelly, great content. Check out the transcript attached to this video. It’s really weird and not what you said at all !
❤
Really? no mention of NIOD survival ?
Wow
I reacted horribly to the inkey list Q10 serum when I tried it and to this day I don't know why, because there's nothing in there that's irritating...
I did too l. It completely burns my face and everyone else loves it. I don't get it.
Do you recommend Kiehl's vitamin c serum?
It's nice and I have a review on it here on youtube from 2018. I no longer use the product because of the essential oils.
