For me, Hada Labo cleansing oil did a wonderful job in clearing my pores and most hydrating products helped to plump my skin, which helps to tightening the look of pores.
My favourite way of consuming green tea is through my mouth. I suggest warmly drinking it. The health benefits are many and marvellous. My mood immediately improves and the brain fog disappears. Make sure the tea is good quality and organic.
Thanks for all the recommendations. I love green tea. But so many products are geared to oily, acneic skin and mine is mature, sensitive, normal to dry skin. Your descriptions have really helped send me in the right direction.
All hail to the queen! Thanks to you i found my ultimate favorite green tea toner, the benton one! Been using for more than a year now, and i feel all the result you’ve told, I definitely fall in love💗
Another great video from you Kelly! I love the Isntree Green Tea Toner and it worked wonderfully for my oily skin, but after visiting home during winter it fell a bit short on the hydration end just as you said it possibly could.
AT 70 yrs young, I just spritz my face with green tea. And for my age my skin looks pretty good. But I have also been drinking it for the last 25 yrs...
The first two (Benton and Isntree) are my intro to green tea skincare and my faves. Gonna get back to them after I finish what I have now. I also like klavuu green pearlsation pha toner. Nice soft exfoliation with a pleasant smell.
Excellent video as always Kelly 🙌👌👏 Hey, maybe you can do a video soon of centered Panthenol ingredient in skincare products. That would be really great 🥰🥰
I started with Isntree green tea, which was nice during our spring/summer heat and humidity, but definitely noticed it wasn't right for my skin as the seasons changed. I switched to Dear Klairs Daily Skin Hydrating Water, and it's been lovely to help with the extra dehydration happening through winter. It doesn't have as high percentage of green tea (by a small percentage difference), but has other hydrating ingredients that have really felt nice on my skin.
Thank you for this video, I was contemplating buying sioris essener since it has green tea and mugwort I believe but now you got me thinking since I have dry skin, wondering if you have tried the sioris and what do you think of it?
The only green tea based skincare that i had tried was Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum. I felt in love with it but since my budget is limited and there are so many new more budget friendly ingredients like niacinamide and cica, i forgot of how i love green tea. I do recently searching for new product with green tea in it and this video is very helpful for me. Although, i still searching for a fermented green tea based skincare that are budget friendly (everything that fermented are so freaking expensive).
I’m having good results with the Beauty of Joeson Calming serum. Another product I like a lot is the Bella Jade Setting Spray. I don’t use it for setting but as a hydrator and for calming. I’m on my fifth bottle of it, and I frequently don’t repurchase skincare because I find something better. That’s definitely not the case with this product. I can’t find anything that compares.
Love green tea, and I love the amorepacific vintage single extract essence! It truly is the best. I stopped using it recently to try something else that's more affordable, but after a few weeks I started to get more inflammation and redness and acne coming back and I lost the glow it brought to my skin. I started using it again, and the redness is reduced in just a few days and my acne calmed down immediately and no new acne has formed. As long as I can afford the amorepacific one I will prioritize it in my skincare routine.
@@Whatever-hy3dd I tried using the beauty of joseon ginseng essence water first, but it actually increased redness in my face so I only used it twice. After that I used missha time revolution Artemisia treatment essence for several weeks. This is also supposed to be calming and reduce inflammation/redness/etc. It didn't do any of that for me. In contrast when I first used the amorepacific one I saw a reduction in redness, inflammation, and inflamed acne in less than a week. And it actually gives my skin a glow. And when I added it back to my routine this week I saw all those things come back in a matter of days. In the past I've also tried the isntree green tea and bonajour green tea water bomb toners. They were both fine and hydrating but I didn't see any real benefits from them.
@@Eff_It no there was no additional irritation from the missha artemisia essence. I have sensitive, acne prone skin and rosacea, so I regularly have a lot of irritation. And that also helps me see when something actually makes a difference! I didn't get any new irritation from the missha, but my "usual" redness and irritation and a pimple came up. That's what my skin looked like before the amorepacific essence. Then it all went away again in a few days after I went back to amorepacific.
One thing to note is that with my super sensitive skin I suspect I may have more background irritation when using these other options since a lot of the alternative essences and toners have more extracts and preservatives and additional ingredients over the amorepacific one. And I think that could totally be why the amorepacific one works so well for me, because it's so simple and focused. Who knows what exactly makes it so good though! If I found an alternative that had the same ingredients as amorepacific at a lower price I would test that in a second!
Hi Kelly! Thank you so much for this! I loved the old Green Tea Seed Serum by Innisfree but they've since reformulated it, unfortunately. Do you have any similar products that you could recommend? Also, if you are able, I'd love an updated list of your current green tea skincare faves. Please, thank you and God bless!
Green tea isn't my ride-or-die of skincare ingredients, but I feel like I've also not used too many green tea-centric products. Besides that Isntree toner, which I'm just the wrong skin type for. I've just started using the Sioris Essener, though, so it will be interesting to see how that goes
Could you look into B-lab's Matcha Hydrating Real Sunscreen? It's not alcohol-free (denatured alcohol is very high on the list) but the filters seem good (Mexoryl SX, Uvinul A Plus, Uvinul T 150, Polysilicone-15, and Tinosorb S) and it does feel hydrating on my oily skin. The formula reminds me a lot of Krave's Beet the Sun, just without the distinct scent. I understand though if you're not too keen about the alcohol :)
Love this video!! I’m curious, do you feel like one hand looks different to the other since you swatch on one hand haha I’ve always wondered! Thanks for the thorough explanations and swatches 🤗
I have oily-dehydrated skin, and yet I didn't find Kelly's favorite Benton Green Tea Toner or Keep Cool and Soothe Toner all that hydrating. Yes they're thin, super lightweight, and layerable -- maybe that's what she likes? But I didn't see any extra hydration.
@@applebt1 I like the Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner and Cosrx Cica Toner in the summer, because they're very lightweight, yet soothing, hydrating, and good for acne. In the winter, I like the Barr Centella Calming Ampoule Toner, Purito Centella Unscented Toner, and Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Toner, because they have more body and hydration, but I can still wear them during the day without them making my skin feel too sticky/dewy. At night in winter, I also like the Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Toner because it has a bit of an oil-cream finish and almost feels like a super thin lotion.

I also noticed you go through the bottle fast! compared to other 1 oz serums I opened at the same time, this one was used up so much quicker, I almost questioned if the fill weight was accurate
