If you drink green tea regularly you need to watch your iron level. Tea, but specifically green tea, prohibits your body from absorbing iron. I learned this when I tried to donate blood. I understand, I as well thought the same about the price but after researching the company and learning about the owner I realize they are the real deal. I recently brought the a tea from the company and I love it, I know what I’m drinking is quality green tea. I personally believe when it comes to green tea , especially if you live in the U. S you should try going for the premiums because you can feel assure your getting the real thing. A lot of the green tea sold in the US are not of quality and don’t compare to the ones that comes directly from East Asia or East Africa in my opinion.

@@janec5327 home grown and homemade green tea of course 😂 my parents always keeps the best leaves for ourselves (there will be like 200g-300g per year) if you are looking for a Chinese green tea I would recommend a green tea from Sichuan called Meng Ding Gan Lu. This is a organic green tea grown among a very less polluted mountain (there are pandas living on the same mountain so you can trust the quality, Chinese people are really serious about anything with pandas) local people started to grow and produce tea since more than 1000 years ago the quality stays among the top teas of China ever since. Since one century ago it became not as famous as green tea from the east of China due to difficulty of transport (again,as Chinese people are really serious about anything with pandas,it took decades to decide whether and where to build a high way to reach the mountain without disturbing pandas) and lack of marketing. Luckily local tea growers never give up their pride and keep the quality of their tea. With e-commerce it's now much easier to buy this tea and you just need to Google with its name.

I enjoy patting my skin with a cooled green teabag as a 'toner', but I wonder how efficacious this actually is. My thinking is that it's so fresh that it's less likely to have oxidised or the beneficial compounds having broken down too much. It also feels really nice and calming on the skin.

I used to get cold sores, you know how they start out with that tingle, then the painful tingle, then the build up of the blister that lasts a few days, then the drying and scabbing over of the blister. Years ago I heard about L lysine...you can buy it at the drugstore. As soon as I feel that little tingle that a sore is starting, I take about 5 or 6 tablets, then two or three a day for the next few days. The sores never get beyond a tiny little blister that is barely visible. And I don’t know if lysine stays in the body, but I rarely even get them anymore. No I never checked with my doctor about this....and I would suggest you do - but likely most doctors will instead be sure to have some highly priced pharmaceutical product they will want to push on you.
I did some research, and my findings is that the amino acid lysine isn’t dangerous. All I know is it worked for me.

I used to break out in these painful embarrassing sores until about 6 yrs. ago and my dermatologist prescribed Acylovir.. I still take it and haven't had one since. Also lip sunscreen when out in sun.

I have suffered from cold sores since I was young. Prescription valacyclovir works if you can get it or not too expensive. As a backup, from the first sign of a tingle that a cold sore is coming, I take a few pills of Quantum Super lysine pills available on Amazon. I also apply Abreva and then layer an organic lysine lip ointment that you can also buy on Amazon. Unfortunately there is no cure but this is what I figured works for me and I can lessen the cold sore to last less than 3 days.

Teas are great. I suspect many of the health benefits come from the ritual itself. I like and use chaga tea and tinctures and to a lesser degree wild reishi. I forage for these so I know they're fresh and safe. My daughter is the black tea coneseur and we have a tea party when she visits. My favorite is chaga/chickory blend sweetened with homemade maple sugar. All harvested by me , off my farm , yum.

I just ordered a glycerine based green tea extract off of Amazon. The stuff is a deep brown, so I imagine it is strong. I thought I would use it as a toner, followed by my Alpha Skin Care glycolic acid serum after that. My skin just loves glycolic acid, and it seems like green tea would make a good combination.

Please tell me the problem with loose tea leaves? Here in England, cold brewing and hot brewing tea leaves is part of life. We have timers to tell when white, green & black teas are ready. We have electric kettles which turn off at the exact temperatures needed for each infusion. Relax with a cup of tea the English way. BTW, we slice pieces of a ginger root to steep with our tea leaves. We only drink milk with black tea.😁
