@@starlynliles678 heya I’m glad to help! I’ve been doing textured hair basically all my life, I’ve worked on my hair- it’s thick and wavy- did my all 9 of my siblings hair (7/10 had 2b-2c which is a tight curl - simulator to this video) and I had the opportunity to do my step families hair which contained ALL of the hair types, 1-4. I’m not trained but when you around and see different type of hair you kinda understand where your coming from. Everyone has their own opinions about what their textured hair is because they think they knows how their hair works- that’s not the case. There’s a chart where 1 is straight hair, 2s are wavy- curly, 3s are super curly, 4s are coils. If your hair is like hers but thick than you have a section 2-now you need to see if your hair is A, B, or C. 2A is wavy, 2B is big pronounced waves/ curls and 2C is really curly no doubt about it. I am personally 2A and have to scrunch my hair to get the waves I want, if I don’t my hair becomes frizzy and straight- if you get straight out the shower and have curls popping than you most likely have 2B/ 2C hair which is the mix of both of them. The women in this video is confusing people because her hair isn’t what she said it is, and making people think they can choose their own hair type cause they like it. There’s NO issue with doing this style WITHOUT having 3/ 4 hair. Hope I helped! If anything else I’d love to help. Thank you and have a good day
I do two twists at night because I don’t like to put heat to my hair. I don’t use all the products she does though. Just shampoo, conditioner, and some coconut oil serum at my ends.that’s it. It leaves my hair wavy.
It's not really about need and more about focusing on the style part. It's not like you can say one's hair needs pigtail plaits or a velvet scrunchy in it. It's all about how one wants to style their hair.
@@MichtyMaxx girl you literally went based off what BLACK NATURALS SAID. That’s not 3b or 3c hair. I know you keep saying it’s about the Style and not the hair type, but it’s misleading if you’re incorrect about the hair type. lgal56 Yeah, you’d think people who claim to be internet experts in hair types would know that curly hair looks different dry as compared to wet. But those like you who get it, don’t need to be told.
jaelynn carter Hair can be kinky and fine or have a thick shaft and be wavy. It’s not just the curl factor that denotes the wet curl look. Take the tutorial for what it is and don’t get up your ass about the curl designations. It’s jut hair
I don't care if you do a twist out but you don't have 3c or 3b . 2b or 2c maybe. But one thing I don't like how a lot of people bringing up that she white or she stealing styles you can't steal styles or say it's not a protective style. She just wants to define her curls. But you really need to fix the texture thing in the title
honestly your hair seems about like mine I'm 3a and I think most people's comments of agitation stem from credit where credit is do it is a protective hair style but PoC were the demographic that created and utilized these protective hairstyles because their ancestors coming from a place like Africa originally had to find ways to protect the hair from the sun and other harsh elements and the twist outs also helped maintain their curls because twist outs are good for holding moisture it same goes for Bantu knots as well they are a cultural hair style almost every single hairstyle you see African Americans do comes from different tribes and villages takes on protective hair styles I myself am white and have had the discussion of cultural appropriation with plenty of people and the biggest thing with any person of color is this: you can use the same techniques and hairstyles but know your history on them understand that there is more to it than looking cute and just simply protecting your curls twist outs originate from one tribe originally for protection of hair while Bantu knots are from a completely different tribe for hair protection as well same goes for wrapping hair with hair scarves it is to protect the hair originally but when slavery started they were forced to cover their hair because white women were jealous of the things PoC could do with their hair all the elaborate styles and what not so they made them keep their hair covered at all times just food for thought is all so much history goes into the hairstyles of PoC alone that doesn't even touch on practices and religious beliefs and what not such a rich culture even if you based it off hair alone
also another problem people of color have with white people doing their hairstyles is the fact that they are constantly reprimanded for wearing weave and for their braids but when a white person does it it gains compliments
Alyssa Glass I actually fumbled into this style when I was a teenager before I had ever seen a tutorial on RUclips/the internet or seen a black person do this technique. So I'm not trying to steal anyone's cultural identity. It's about spreading the word and having curly hair. Not the colour of anyone's skin. And I didn't mention Bantu knots or anything else. I used to have tightly wound curly hair that was very brittle and broke frequently until I started using certain techniques and products that allows it to grow and be silky and long like it is now. And who says I'm white? There are plenty of Europeans and Jews and other cultures that have curly hair, it's not just owned by black people. I don't judge people based on the colour of their skin, yet many people in the comments here are doing exactly that to me. It sounds like racism to me.
If she can’t twist her hair then you can’t straighten yours! Everybody should except everybody’s culture and be able to happily embrace them whether they belong to that culture or not my neighbor was my best friend and African American she did my hair in corn rows all the way thru elementary school for me and I got told “oh just stop trying to be black” I’m white and I’m proud! And even tho my friend was African she straightened her hair and never got the same comments I did at the end of the day we should all love and except each other and deciding whether to do so over a hair style? Or clothing choices? should be irrelevant.
I am white and my hair is about 2a and urs is definitely not 3b c hair I have mixed friends with 3b c hair your hair is 2b c it is still wavy and I saw in the description u said it was coily but coily is mixed and afro textured hair is kinky coily (super tight curls) that make there natural hair not trying to hate just giving a lil info Still a good video Edit: This style is protective style made by black women and I think this style started in Africa I live in South Africa so I know a lot about kinky and coily hair
That's all cool, however I don't determine the curl of hair based on drenched wet and product heavy curls. I've never seen curly hair look the same when wet as it does dry.
Yes, she is not 3c, and could gave twisted her hair better. But everybody saying that white people don't protective styling is ridiculous. White people get split ends, damage their hair, and want it to have a healthy break same as anybody who takes time to have healthy hair. Any body who cares about their hair should use protective styling that works best for them.
Protective styling for African Americans isn’t about wanting your hair to grow and protecting it from split ends. Our hair is natural dry, doing things like braids an twist outs allow us to keep the moisture in our hair and our scalp. Because our hair is so dry weather can also be a big factor “protecting our hair” I think your a bit confused of the terminology which I guess isn’t your fault cause your not Black but split ends will always happen , you’ll always have to trim your hair so white people doing what she’s doing isn’t going to stop your hair from getting split ends.
You're so cute! Seems like you learned a lot from naturals with real (sorry, being honest) 3b,3c, 4a-c hair:P I am h as happy this style works for you this good, I didn't knew twists could work on very loose hair (your hair looks 2b,2c). Looks great on you! I've learned that twists look great on everyones hair :D
Thanks! I actually figured out this style before I ever saw a "natural" do it, but I definitely refined my technique after watching some black chicks' videos on twists. But either way, this is my hair really wet and full of product. And if you've ever been near curly hair, you should know that it lengthens and becomes much less curly. If you want to really analyse my hair you can see it at this length dry here. -> ruclips.net/video/cUpq4zryaEw/видео.html Today, which is 2 years later and a lot of growth to a much longer length, my hair is much less curly and dry is actually 2a/b.
Come on, dude, "white" people can have curly hair too. Spanish/Italian/Europeans, jewish dudes and many more non-black people have curly hair. If I were you I would judge my hair dry and not wet, before judging my curl pattern based on my skin colour. That's not cool. I have many textures in my hair and as it grows longer it's even less curly, but the point of the video is sharing the technique.
MichtyMaxx She never said that white people don’t have curly hair though...it’s strange to see a white person do this because they don’t typically ‘protect’ their hair and even when they do they don’t usually do it this way...plus, a protective style is defined as ‘hiding your ends’, which you’re not. So this style fits under the category of ‘low-manipulation style’...it becomes protective when you put it in a bun or within extensions. Needless to say you’re both your content and title are in fact very confusing...not negative, just confusing...
@@MichtyMaxx white people can have curly hair, yes, but white people can also educate themselves on hair types if they plan on appropriating a culturally black hairstyle. You don’t have anything to protect. People are caught off guard because your hair is not meant for this style, it’s too loose... but to each is own.
I actually like this video, I've never seen twist done this way so I learned something. Don't listen to all the hate in the comments, your hair is nice.

A lot of people say she's racist and stealing from black culture, im half Puerto Rican half black with 3b 3C hair and I see nothing wrong with this video. If she were to say "This is a style I made/created" then I would see your concern. It's kinda fucked up people are telling her what to with HER HAIR. Makes no goddam sense

latoya Wesson Clearly we’re referring to the people who are saying I can’t do this curly hair style because I’m not black. Not disagreeing with my title/hair texture. Either way, just more commenters missing the point of the video.
@@MichtyMaxx don't care it's still click bait u should know your curl pattern by now and know damn well u ain't 3c. People knowing your curl pattern isn't them being racist . That knowing your curl pattern. I haven't seen anything racist on here. Just women telling you 3c isn't your curl pattern.
Yeah, cause a race totally owns curly hair. I guess my skin isn't dark enough to have curly hair and treat it as such with styles. That doesn't sound racist at all.. Hmmm... I know it's a protective style, that's while I mentioned in the video. Why can't you protect your curly hair if you don't have black skin? It protects my hair and I'm of European decent genetically, and not of pure African decent. I'm sure Destined for Greatness has no "white" blood in her ancestry at all and can be self righteous, instead of being a positive human being. Oh wait, that's not being a very nice person. Either way this is a tutorial about a *style* not a hair type.
Question for all the black girls in the comments, is wearing this style cultural appropriation if you know where it originates from? Cuz I have 3c hair and wanna put it in a protective style every now and then as I’m tryna grow long healthy hair, but I don’t wanna wear it if it’s offensive
Thanks! I have fun doing this style and keeping it in for a bunch of days to change up my usually big fluffy do. You could totally do this style of 4b texture hair, I've seen tutorials with it. And doing thicker chunks of hair on the twists makes it go quicker and easier.
Well I must say your hair actually can hold a 3 strand twist so your not in the 2 type fs...maybe a 3a..then again you have a girly wavy thing going so maybe 2c/3a....also you should try to use either less product or find more light weight products because your hair looks a bit weighed down. Other then that girl this your hair....do as you please
Cool. Thanks for your info, I agree that I have hair with different textures across my head, it grows kinda nuts all over there. I don't usually use this much product when I wear my hair out and natural, it's just to help reduce any stray hairs or frizz for this style.
Thanks! My breakage is a lot less now, which I'm really happy with and all I did was change my shampoo to a non lathering shampoo. It's called No Poo from DevaCurl and it's brilliant! Smells all herby and nice too.
It's bleached, but I don't colour treat the lengths of my hair. I coloured it once and just do the roots now with Aveda Highlift tint, which isn't a bleach and is more gentle on the hair.
Sis I have 3c 3b hair not you there's nothing wrong with your hair its beautiful just saying it's not what type of you you have definitely 3a/2c possibly 2b
It's actually best to label ur hair wet with moisture in it than label it dry. My hair is 3a-3c wet and it looks almost in the 4a category while dry. I got this info from a natural ytber, but I forgot her name so I'll b sure to edit it back in when I find her. You're mislabeling, as does in the rest of the community (often labeling 3c hair as 4c, which is almost what I did), causes girls to b self conscious of their hair and creates a lot of self hate towards their hair bc it doesn't look like the label listed! I can tell u rn, my hair being as loose wet as urs is dry, it's definitely not in the 3b-3c category. Also, u forget to mention that this protective style is used for mostly the black community and is apart of the black communities history. It has been for a long time, and I am a big "give credit where it's due" gal. Also to mention, the black community wears this style and it's called "unprofessional" "dirty" etc, but you could wear it and it'd "start a trend", simply bc the color of ur skin. It is that fact, that I wrap this up in, that this video is doing more harm than good! I know you most likely didn't mean for it to intend such, but it does. The RUclipsr I was talking abt is chizi duru! Here's her video I was talking abt ruclips.net/video/J1bfnbDBJyw/видео.html

What do you think an "ethnic type" means? What ethnicity do you think I am? Curly hair isn't owned by people with high melanin skin content. It's a protein that grows out of your scalp longer on one side of the chain and shorter on the other, thus it curves around itself. And my hair is wet. If you really had curly hair you would know that wet curls are way looser than dry curls.
@@MichtyMaxx I didn't say you had to be black to have curls. You said you hair is 3C , ma'am. It looks like its in the 2 category. 3C is more on the side with women with KINKS , those types of curls , black hair. That's why the comment section bashing you. I'm not trying to be rude.

Jayme Wukmir thank you very much! I love that this is very different from my usual voluminous hair and looks sleek and kind of edgy when I style it with certain make up looks.
I don't think it works of straighter hair types. If you can plait your hair and leave it untied at the end and the plait stays in, then it could work. I can plait my hair and it will stay in without a tie for days since the texture of the hair keeps the strands from slipping. However my straight haired friends end up with the plait slipping straight out. That's my reckoning.
You have curly hair... not coily! I know you think you know ur hair more than anyone but your in the 2 section- not 3b or 3c, even though your hair is super curly; doesn’t mean you have the same hair texture as people of colors hair. Look at her other videos of her dry hair. It's most definitely 3b/3c. It's weighed down by product in this video and still damp...
Her other videos still shows that she DOESN’T have 3 hair AT ALL!! She’s just a confused white girl with curly hair
@@rinamae2844 okay so this is a serious question bc im lost on my hair type but my hair Is just like her curls but my hair is super thick super big
Thank you and have a good day
You don't have 3c/3b hair it looks like 2c/3a that's just my opinion

Monolithic ikr no one on RUclips has 3c hair pls help!!!!
I love it when other people with different hair textures from mine do these styles because I love seeing their results and you did a fantastic job. :)
Thanks very much. ;) I always admired the twist style and wondered if my hair would hold it, so I had to give it a go.
Love this comment! I appreciate your comment.

I do two twists at night because I don’t like to put heat to my hair. I don’t use all the products she does though. Just shampoo, conditioner, and some coconut oil serum at my ends.that’s it. It leaves my hair wavy.
pick me
if a fine tooth comb can go through your hair, it is definitely not in the type 3 category. pls take a seat
I wouldn't think your type of hair would even need 3 strand twists?
It's not really about need and more about focusing on the style part. It's not like you can say one's hair needs pigtail plaits or a velvet scrunchy in it. It's all about how one wants to style their hair.
@@MichtyMaxx girl you literally went based off what BLACK NATURALS SAID. In which it is about the NEED bc that’s the reason why it’s prevalent and why what’s said is said- it has meaning bc of the specific texture. it’s not a simple style- if that were the case I’m going to need u to take out the whole monologue. pack it up- just straight up lying.
That’s not 3b or 3c hair. I know you keep saying it’s about the Style and not the hair type, but it’s misleading if you’re incorrect about the hair type. I know you also replied to comments saying that your hair is more curly when it dries, and I saw another one of your videos but it was still no curlier than maybe a 3a...
u do not have 3c hair , i have 3c hair and it looks nothing like urs .... i dont wanna hear u saying wanna see it when its dry ..... when my hair wet or dry looks nothing like urs i think u should check again
Indeed, you cannot say I don't have 3C hair if you haven't seen it dry. So why are you going nuts about it. Check out my hair in its natural state in my curly hair routine here -> ruclips.net/video/cUpq4zryaEw/видео.html
Good job. it looks like 3c to me. that's how mine looks when wet. looks good.
+Charmaine Taylor Yeah, some people keep forgetting that hair looks different when it's wet, especially curly hair. Thanks! I usually do 2 strand twists but I wanted to try out the more delicate and cool looking 3 strand ones and it turned out pretty well.
Based on your avatar picture I'd doubt your categorisation of your hair texture, but you can call your hair anything you like. +MichtyMaxx based on my avatar pic lol?? and it still doesnt look like that mayo
I used this on my daughters hair and it worked wonders for her curly tresses. Argan Rain Shampoo left her hair moisturized and shiny.
Cool, glad I could help spread the word on this excellent protective style tip.
This a joke right 👀
shy t You’re a troll, right?! 😆
Lol
i dont understand why everyone is telling you what your hair type is??? thank you for posting, now i know twist outs are possible on my hair! i was so confused before my curly hair journey bc i thought "white hair" and "black hair" were hair types, and it stopped me from listening to great info bc i thought it didn't apply to me! im so happy that i understand now hair is hair is hair when it comes to hair care. but instead its the culture, treatment, and discrimination of black people with curly hair that white people will never experience.
bc it’s not 3c or 3b- why else?
Seems more like a 2a 2b than anything in the C category.
If you want an accurate identification of my hair you should see it dry, as all hair looks different when it is wet and weighed down by water or hair products. Jeremy Nuckolls I wouldn’t say 2a
What did I just watch?😂 I only made it up to where she said "protective style" and had to turn it off.
Flolynda Jean Thanks for the view. I’ll put the tenth of a cent towards my next Devacurl No poo bottle. 👍🏻😁😉
Peace. I checked out one of her OTHER videos. And she stands correct!! She is a fine, silky 3b with a smidget of 3c in there. Let's not forget her hair appears to have bleach in it.
And you should see my hair when it's at my shoulders. It kinks up like crazy and is a big ball around my head. It's almost waist length now and is a much softer S curl. Curly hair is so weird!? ;D
@@MichtyMaxx Peace. I enjoyed ur video. Thanks for responding. ❤. I have 3c/4a hair myself. My hair is finally sitting on the tip of my shoulders. It's been a journey the past 4 years. I will try this technique now that my hair is longer. Thanks!!! 💄
@@elameenabey3795 The biggest improvement for my hair was washing it with a non foaming shampoo, the Diva Curl No Poo original, and not washing my hair frequently. I have dry hair that's never oily, and I tried washing it only every 2/3 weeks. The less I manipulate my hair the less brakes off and I can keep the length. And then I stepped up the washing schedule after I grew it down to my elbows. Good luck growing your hair.
i don’t understand why people are in the comments hating , anyone can have whatever type of hair they want to , i am black &’ ion see no problem with this k love this video also new subbieee here 👏🏽💕💯💯 keep doing this don’t give up girl!!

But I have a 3B/3C hair type 😕 and it looks nothing like this
Good for you. My hair looks nothing like this when it's dry and not drenched in product either. 🙃
But you don't have kinky hair.... when you wet your hair it doesn't even curl like 3b or 3c hair would
jaelynn carter type 3 hair shouldn't be kinky type 3 is curly type 4 is kinky if you see her hair dry it could pass for type 3a/b
lgal56 Yeah, you’d think people who claim to be internet experts in hair types would know that curly hair looks different dry as compared to wet.
"pretty darn killa"
Thanks!
Just came to see the comments and see what this 3c hair looks like 😂😂😂😨😨🥴
If her hair is 3c, my shit is 4c. 😭😂💀
honestly your hair seems about like mine I'm 3a and I think most people's comments of agitation stem from credit where credit is do it is a protective hair style but PoC were the demographic that created and utilized these protective hairstyles because their ancestors coming from a place like Africa originally had to find ways to protect the hair from the sun and other harsh elements and the twist outs also helped maintain their curls because twist outs are good for holding moisture it same goes for Bantu knots as well they are a cultural hair style almost every single hairstyle you see African Americans do comes from different tribes and villages takes on protective hair styles I myself am white and have had the discussion of cultural appropriation with plenty of people and the biggest thing with any person of color is this: you can use the same techniques and hairstyles but know your history on them understand that there is more to it than looking cute and just simply protecting your curls twist outs originate from one tribe originally for protection of hair while Bantu knots are from a completely different tribe for hair protection as well same goes for wrapping hair with hair scarves it is to protect the hair originally but when slavery started they were forced to cover their hair because white women were jealous of the things PoC could do with their hair all the elaborate styles and what not so they made them keep their hair covered at all times just food for thought is all so much history goes into the hairstyles of PoC alone that doesn't even touch on practices and religious beliefs and what not such a rich culture even if you based it off hair alone
also another problem people of color have with white people doing their hairstyles is the fact that they are constantly reprimanded for wearing weave and for their braids but when a white person does it it gains compliments
MichtyMaxx you definitely didn’t soak up even a little bit of information that this women said based on your reply.
@@chijiokeemenanjor7939 don't even bother, she's a culture vulture and she won't get it no matter how many times you try and explain
I am white and my hair is about 2a and urs is definitely not 3b c hair I have mixed friends with 3b c hair your hair is 2b c it is still wavy and I saw in the description u said it was coily but coily is mixed and afro textured hair is kinky coily (super tight curls) that make there natural hair not trying to hate just giving a lil info Still a good video
Edit: This style is protective style made by black women and I think this style started in Africa I live in South Africa so I know a lot about kinky and coily hair
That's all cool, however I don't determine the curl of hair based on drenched wet and product heavy curls. I've never seen curly hair look the same when wet as it does dry.
I also thought it might be ALL those products but I didnt know Good video btw
Jinell Evans Dos Santos Cool, thanks.

-> ruclips.net/video/cUpq4zryaEw/видео.html
Today, which is 2 years later and a lot of growth to a much longer length, my hair is much less curly and dry is actually 2a/b.
Your hair look like noodles
Yay, noodles are yummy! I love long thick Hokkien noodles.
Would you behappy if somene told you that your hair looks like pubic hair? Leave her alone.
I was so confused when I saw a white woman on the thumbnail XD
Maybe she just doesn't know hair types?
Come on, dude, "white" people can have curly hair too. Spanish/Italian/Europeans, jewish dudes and many more non-black people have curly hair. If I were you I would judge my hair dry and not wet, before judging my curl pattern based on my skin colour. That's not cool. I have many textures in my hair and as it grows longer it's even less curly, but the point of the video is sharing the technique.
MichtyMaxx
She never said that white people don’t have curly hair though...it’s strange to see a white person do this because they don’t typically ‘protect’ their hair and even when they do they don’t usually do it this way...plus, a protective style is defined as ‘hiding your ends’, which you’re not.
Durag? 😂😂😂

Guys it doesn't really matter what kind of hair she has. It's about the style being presented to you.
Alexis Burnett Thank you for understanding and being reasonable. It's a rare and beautiful thing around the internet and for some reason a hair tutorial really sticks in some people's craws and gets their hackles up.
no her hair is 1a 1b or 1c wtf do u mean

A lot of people say she's racist and stealing from black culture, im half Puerto Rican half black with 3b 3C hair and I see nothing wrong with this video. If she were to say "This is a style I made/created" then I would see your concern. It's kinda fucked up people are telling her what to with HER HAIR. Makes no goddam sense
the kid she said so in the comments
Then you're Afro Latinx tho so...
People in the comments are racially profiling you lmao. Its evident and someone needed to acknowledge it. That's literally the only reason they're here.

Yeah, it's disappointing that people are flinging the hate they have received at other people and not sharing positive energy.
Thank you. Music is my favourite thing in life.
Lmao how telling her the correct hair type being racist? It's anything but racism
latoya Wesson Clearly we’re referring to the people who are saying I can’t do this curly hair style because I’m not black. Not disagreeing with my title/hair texture. Either way, just more commenters missing the point of the video.

Yeah, cause a race totally owns curly hair. I guess my skin isn't dark enough to have curly hair and treat it as such with styles. That doesn't sound racist at all.. Hmmm... (I hope you can feel the sarcasm, buddy.) But you can keep coconut oil, if that makes you happy, cause it makes me sick and gives me migraines.
MichtyMaxx I think she means the technique... this is a protective hair style that black woman use lol
We are all people and since it's a hair tutorial, not a skin tutorial, it shouldn't be the focus.
Wym? Why say that we can't have anything when black women wear weaves all the time that resembles white hair? Black ppl always protesting and stuff about discriminating but they always seem to be the ones that brings up race gtfo
First Name Last Name No one wears European weave

Right I watched this video & also saw your one with dry hair, idk how you can say your hair is 3b/3c & you said your hair has multiple different textures in which is understandable but you do not have 3b/3c hair I have that hair texture & my hair is Afro-Caribbean in which your hair is not, you need to research curl patterns before putting a label on a hair type you don't understand
Yep, you really got the point of this video. I used to have a big round afro when my hair was short and it was all 3C and now it's really long (down to my waist at the back) and my hair is a lot less curly maybe even down to 2a in some areas.
I'm happy you got such a positive response :D, good job on the twists I have 4b I could never do it though XD
Thanks! I have fun doing this style and keeping it in for a bunch of days to change up my usually big fluffy do. You could totally do this style of 4b texture hair, I've seen tutorials with it. And doing thicker chunks of hair on the twists makes it go quicker and easier.
Angel Hall Our ancestors created this hairstyle thousands of year ago in Africa. Your hair texture is ideal for doing this style.
I love your hair and I understand about the breakage
Thanks! My breakage is a lot less now, which I'm really happy with and all I did was change my shampoo to a non lathering shampoo. It's called No Poo from DevaCurl and it's brilliant! Smells all herby and nice too.
Do you have naturally blonde hair or is it bleached
It's bleached, but I don't colour treat the lengths of my hair. I coloured it once and just do the roots now with Aveda Highlift tint, which isn't a bleach and is more gentle on the hair.
Sis I have 3c 3b hair not you there's nothing wrong with your hair its beautiful just saying it's not what type of you you have definitely 3a/2c possibly 2b
Lilanniexoxo /Annalise It looks very different when it’s dry and it’s even less curly these days since it’s so long and nearly down to my butt.
If you have 3b hair I must have 1a hair
I use this style because my hair is really frizzy and wavy I’m only 25% black does that mean that’s it’s culture appropriation
No, you have the bloodline
That is perfect and pretty
Paula Morelos Thanks! ;D
Do you have a twist out video?
would this work on type 3a hair?
you do not have anything close to 3c or 3b

Because I can. 😁

Why would you even have your hair type close to an ethnic type ?
4 is ours , anything near that is around our hair texture. Yours would be like a 2.
I'm not trying to be rude.
can I do this with naturally straight hair?
It's unlikely that it will stay in that style with straight hair. However, you could use a really strong holding gel and use crap tons to get a twist like style.
Alisa Lisaa it'll stay but you'd have to put perm rods at the ends if you don't it won't stay

Jayme Wukmir thank you very much! I love that this is very different from my usual voluminous hair and looks sleek and kind of edgy when I style it with certain make up looks.
sike
her voice is so unique
Hee hee, I curated it myself ;D Thank you.
Well I mean all the girls with real 3c hair say they 4c so lol
Would this trick work for straight and or wavy hair?
I don't think it works of straighter hair types. If you can plait your hair and leave it untied at the end and the plait stays in, then it could work. I can plait my hair and it will stay in without a tie for days since the texture of the hair keeps the strands from slipping. However my straight haired friends end up with the plait slipping straight out. That's my reckoning.
Thanks for the heads up.
+bookreviewer99 It's cool. You can try it anyway but it think it's the texture and the curls that hold it in. 🙂
Thanks!
+bookreviewer99 And thank you for watching. 😊
You have curly hair... not coily! I know you think you know ur hair more than anyone but your in the 2 section- not 3b or 3c, even though your hair is super curly; doesn’t mean you have the same hair texture as people of colors hair. You have THE SAME EXACT hair texture as my mother (she’s Italian and German, so super curly course hair but doesn’t mean she has coils).
"protective style"?? when white women watch too many natural videos smh... you don't evn know the meaning of a protective style lol.. your are definitely NOT a 3c, my sister is 3c and she has full thick curls...white women take everything.
ciara berry yes😂😂😂
Yeah, my curly hair *totally* takes something from your black skin. Way to be racist instead of enjoying a hair tutorial.
ciara berry white people can wear protective styles too it's not secluded for one race
ciara berry yeah I definitely stole something that GROWS OUT OF MY FUCKING SCALP
If her hair is curly then I don't blame her for watching natural hair videos. They were some of the first videos on YT that actually talked about curly hair. Our movement influenced other channels and I take that as a compliment.
I do this to my daughter all the time
Its more 1 c ore 2 a Type hair 😂
1c don't exist doe? Type 1 is straight and no texture
I came here for the comments, but now I'm just distracted by the fact that all her CDs in the background are cellophaned together. Why?
People are such assholes. This video was informative. Thanks.
Nah. They just know that her hair is not 3b or 3c. I have 3c\4a hair. My curls are wayyyy tighter than hers. People who can relate know that.
Great tutorial! Your hair is beautiful
Thanks!
