    I am curious.. It seems like you covered the back slot on these boxes when showing them off with the light inside... Because the hole in the back makes it harder to see the face.
    Did you sell them with some sort of cover on the back or did you only do that for the video?

    • @FunWithWoodworking

      I just used some scrap 120 grit sandpaper folded in half and sanded just enough to get rid of the worst of it. Less than a minute on each face.

      You can cut out most of the faces using a jigsaw or scroll saw.

    @GCSWoodworks 2 года назад

    What size bit are you using? 1/16 or 1/8?

    • @FunWithWoodworking
      @FunWithWoodworking  2 года назад

      1/8" because it has a black ring at the top of the bit. The 1/16" has a light green ring at the top.

  • @markb8954
    @markb8954 Год назад

    I just don’t quite understand why you start with 8 inch wide boards, but then trim them down to 5 1/4? So what are the final dimensions of the box once you trim the boards down?

    • @FunWithWoodworking
      @FunWithWoodworking  Год назад

      I don't start with 8" boards. They are all around 5 1/2". I trim them down to 5 1/4" so that they are all the same width. If they're all the same size it makes it easier to batch out the boxes.

    • @FunWithWoodworking
      @FunWithWoodworking  Год назад

      @@markb8954 The tabs are there to keep the pieces in place. If you don't have them there is a good chance that the pieces will get caught by the bit and fly out and possibly ruin the rest of project.
