Just bought my Watch 5 two days ago. 1] Battery life looks to be around one day. I have tweaked so many things... display, notifications, grayscale, turn off lte, sound and vibration, health features, gestures, etc. I've heard of three to five days. Will it get better? 2] Notifications on watch - sound and vibration - are not consistent. Is it normal that it misses some? I'm just learning. Appreciate any help.
Spot on. Having said that, battery life is a major upgrade from the Watch4 Classic, and that's why I upgraded. I am able to use my ProLTE for bike riding with music and get the needed workout info on my bike rides, leaving the Garmin and phone at home. Pairs nicely with my AfterShokz headphones.
Question do your text messages come to your cellphone number(not the watch number) with your Lte watch? I'm asking because I always get the cellular watches and just got the 5 pro but texts don't seem to work. Example. Someone can text my watch number but if they text my cell number it does not come to the watch when I'm not connected to my phone.

I'm looking to buy an android smart watch. Never had any of galaxy watchs. Also some of the early leaks on the pixel watch have me concerned. I have pretty much decided on the gw5 or the gw5 pro. As a newbie to the smart watch arena what would you recommend?
Pending on how you keep up with your tech it will be fine for the most part...but after experiencing the Titanium material I definitely prefer it over the aluminum material...but essentially the aluminum is fine and durable, hasn't scratched up since I've been using it. And even my Watch 4 still is solid.
I say go with watch 4 Classic (silver is fire with that classy look). The software is more stable and you can get one in good condition for $150-200. Both use wear OS only works with Android phones. Avoid the watch if you running iphones. I'm in the market on my first smart watch too and GW4C is perfect for me. Don't fall for the hype on the heart rate monitor, calories burned, and sleep monitor. It's overrated and not accurate. I'm going to turn all that off for more battery life. Most phones don't need a smart watch, I need it because I'm rocking a large folding smart phone (Microsoft surface duo 1) that's is annoying to make calls, texts, notifications, and gps.
I had the watch ctive 2 for 17 months...few times it started acting weird...when I would play music on it on water proof mode in the shower... when I would play music and use a timer it would overheat...and when I made calls it would overheat...hopefully this watch took care of those issues
Just returned my GW5. Could not text thru lte directly and had to use the Google sync cloud. Texts would get dropped or not received....always disconnection error. Could not use the watch as a standalone device for more than an hour before disconnecting. So unfortunate because I really loved the size weight and fit. But Spotify and the ability to make a call always worked. Google maps did not work on lte.....always had a 'please connect to phone' message. It's like they almost sabotage the watch to have to be connected to the phone even the lte version.
Hi, thanks for a great video. Likes are at 338 including mine. I really like my watch 5 coming from a galaxy fit2. Only thing I don't like is I'm used to charging my fit2 every 3 weeks, so charging every day has been OK but worry when I'm going to lose charge and had found it dead once. Although it died chargé fairly quickly I have done a few tests though, and find it depends on the watch face I'm using and, how long I check my watch throughout the day all makes a difference. I have the bt version and 40mm, and keep. My location on fire the weather and Upto recently had wifi enabled. . I had changed the included strap for a milanese type with magnetic clasp.
Honestly i upgraded from the 44mm Active2 to the 44mm 5 about a week ago & it seems like my Active2 lasted longer...my initial plan was to buy the 5 pro but with Tmobile you get the 44mm 5 for $150 so I cheaped out & now im kinda regretting not getting the extra mAh's
Literally if I were to upgrade it would be the watch 5 pro. Aside of the battery life I love my watch 4 44mm. Even when I switch back to my watch 3 or active 2 it's just not the same experience as using the watch 4. But I won't upgrade to the watch 5 pro just because it's too expensive.
I feel the chip plays a big factor in the battery life. Great the battery size was increased *slightly*, but they can do better still. Yes it's physically possible. But they can also take the optimization route and make the chip more efficient. And Samsung!, reduce that damn bezel!! Some say watch 5 classic comes in Jan/Feb event 🤞
Apple generally has good UI both phone and watch. I just can't move there because I prefer Windows (Windows and Android pairs relatively good). But if you're already in Apple's, the limit is really your money.
Neither GW5s are worth it, especially when there are almost no differences. Samsung better make some serious changes for the GW6. Please don't release watches with missing features and make people wait months and months for them to be added. It's not professional and not a good look for your brand.
The watch is great but one other issue I have is switching the bands!! It's such a pain to switch the bands!! I have 2 bands , one for the gym and one for the rest of the day. Both are Samsung bands and everytime I have to switch it's not easy!! Samsung has to update and find an easier way!!

Blood pressure hasn't happened in U.S market so I have little hope for temperature sensor. Especially seeing how long google assistant took.
