Now that the rotating bezel is gone, I couldn't see any reason to go for the watch 5 pro. I got the watch 5 44mm. I prefer the design too, it just looks nicer to me
I decided to go with the 5, avoiding the cost of the pro and after a month am totally happy with my choice. The next generation will stomp them both, go with the cheaper IMO, but go with the 44mm over the smaller 5's, with a battery larger than the smallest galaxy 5 but smaller than the pro.
I'm still very torn between the gw5 and gw5 pro. This will be my first smart watch. Currently have the Google pixel 6 and was thinking about waiting for the pixel watch. But early leaks about the pixel watch had turned me off from it. I like the watch face size of the gw5 and don't need the small additional features of the gw5 pro, but I love the extra battery life on the gw5 pro with the fact that it has that bevel design.
I have the Pixel 6 also and I'm unimpressed with the pixel watch. Battery life always wins with me but I'm trying to find out can you reply to text with these watches.

Lol after seeing this video, I went and grabbed my Frontier 3 and started charging it. I haven't worn it in about a year. It's perfect for the gym, and swimming

Just grabbed a 5 pro to upgrade from my watch 4. The battery difference alone does it for me. So sick of charging all the time. Also I got it really cheap
I'm not hearing this diff about the bezel: The new one is operated where your finger partially covers the display. The old one did not the contact was on the side. Less smudging, less interference viewing. Of course all the other things too, like using with gloves, can look like mechanical watch, etc Am I wrong?
I have always gone for the pro version of these watches but this time out I going to go with The Galaxy Watch 5 - I just don't like the look of the Pro version, it's too fat and that hump bezel just doesn't float my boat. As far as I can see, the only downside is battery life and that's never been a problem with me, a quick top up each morning when I'm in the bathroom is all it needs.

I am looking at the watch 5 and really am interested in the Pixel 7 Pro, but really not sure how the watch will work with the pixel. Thanks!
I use a Samsung watch 4 Classic with the Pixel 7 Pro and I have no complaints. I’m about to purchase the Galaxy Watch 5 just because I want the upgrade lol.
EVERY SINGLE review video I've watched every person has legit had the exact same (damage) spot on the 5pro. So I'm wondering if samsung has some issue there or is it just a multi user issue? I'm voting samesung has full fault here.

Left active 2 for watch pro 5....when I say 1 hell of an upgrade!
How big of a size difference is it? I'm also looking to upgrade from the Active 2 but I have the small one even though I'm a pretty big guy.

The pro is a 44mm so it may look the same as your galaxy 4

They added a larger battery (that gets 50% of the life of a Garmin) and a raised bezel and the watch is made for hard-core athletes? I don't see it.

If you are a hyper active go with Garmin Fenix. For daily smart watch just go with samsung watch 5.
