    📜 Description 📜
    --------------------------------------------
    I've been wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 (44mm) for two weeks straight and I've tried almost everything worthy about this watch. One of the features of the Galaxy Watch 5 is that you can wear it on your right wrist and rotate the watch so then the keys are positioned on the left side of the watch. This is a great feature for left-handed people and it is often taken for granted whereas there are many other smartwatches that, while you can wear them on the right wrist, you can change the orientation of the watch. So kudos to Samsung for this great feature!
    Yes, the Galaxy Watch 5 doesn't have a physical rotating bezel and apparently a lot of the folks absolute loved that feature of the watch! But now we're dealing with a touch bezel (which can be disabled if you don't fancy it). In this video I'll show the couple best use cases for the touch bezel.
    I also tested battery life and with a moderate use I was able to get 36-37 hours. But one thing I learned was to never go to sleep before charging it, if it has less than 25% charge. And that's because the first night the watch died in my sleep!
    I also tested both the blood pressure and the ECG and I was shocked with I saw! The fact that I have afib! But is that true? Do I have afib? Well, I went for a check up and...
    Do not use the ECG app if:
    - You have have an implanted pacemaker, implanted cardiac defibrillator or implanted electronic devices
    - You are under 22 years old
    - You have known arrhythmias other than atrial fibrillation

    U can change delay if you go settings go to about watch then go software info then tap multiple times on software version until it says developer mode on go back to settings and choose developer options scroll down until you see window animation scale then change animation to .5x and it will be faster.

    As a left-handed, I'm already used to the buttons/crown pointing to my arm instead of my elbow. But the ability to change that is always appreciated. BTW, great review! I'm totally getting this watch.

    I was standing outside your window last night and I can confirm that you did wake up for an hour. :) All jokes aside, the Fold 4 and the Buds 2 Pros far exceeded my expectations. I would imagine the same would be the same for the Galaxy Watch 4. Unfortunately, I purchased a new Watch 4 just 3 weeks ago so it'll will be awhile before I get my hands on the 5. I'll probably go for the Pro version anyways. Again, thank you for your reviews that really answer questions for us everyday users.

    The Samsung Galaxy watch 5 LTE does not support standalone Google maps. I took my bike for a ride without my phone and when I tried to connect to Google maps it asked me to connect to my phone. Defeats the purpose of an LTE. I returned it and I'm glad I did

    Will you prefer a watch 5 pro or venu 2 plus for a Samsung fold 4 owner ? Interested mainly in heart rate and sleep tracking and health metrics .

    • @CoryBurke
      @CoryBurke 2 года назад +2

      If I can answer this... I feel like I have some insight here, ha. I'm currently wearing the Venu 2 Plus - it's a fantastic watch for sleep tracking and health metrics, as you were asking about. I also have here the Galaxy 5 Pro (I will be returning, its simply too large, in my opinion - and I typically like larger watches), and I also have the Galaxy 5 44mm - which I will probably keep. Although, from my testing so far, the battery life on the Galaxy Watch is so risky - meaning you have to be constantly monitoring it and checking on it... As Ryan said - if you go to bed with it below ~25% you will wake up with a dead watch. With the Garmin Venu 2 Plus you could be at 12% and still 1) go to the gym and record a 1-hour workout 2) wear the watch all day long and 3) still track that night full sleep and 4) probably almost make it through the next day! This watch is a battery champ. I only wish it looked slightly nicer - even with changing out bands etc the Garmin is more of a "puck" and the Galaxy has a bit more style to it. That's what I'll keep the Galaxy is to wear when I'm going out etc or just need a nicer looking watch. But the Venu will be on my wrist 95% of the time I just think its a superior watch for the things I want on a daily basis. Hope this helps!

    Great review - i actually have a question abou the device namelyis there a gps map app for it.
    Its a big miss if there are none, it would be great for biking, hiking, boating,.... its easy to access, safe and nonintrucive just a glance away on your wrist

    • @RyansTechMedia
      @RyansTechMedia  2 года назад

      Thanks V D! Currently you need to have the watch connected to your phone to use the map (Google Maps) on the watch, unless you get the LTE version. But if I'm not mistaken later this year there will be some updates that will allow offline navigation with Google Maps. So if/when that becomes reality, that's a game changer imo. Regardless, if you care about GPS and navigation a lot I highly recommend the GW5 Pro version because of its larger battery.

    • @RyansTechMedia
      @RyansTechMedia  Год назад +4

      @@davidsong5315 Not necessarily unfortunately. Not everyone and not every day you get the same physiological reaction. If you start monitoring your stress level carefully with a reliable device you can clearly see days where you're seemingly fine and yet due to higher stress your energy level drops much faster and so on which affects everything including how you sleep that night. A higher than usual stress alert can immediately remind you to take it easy and maybe do actions to lower it a bit.
      Another point is that a good device can sometimes measure the higher stress level before (as a result of continuous high stress) you get any reaction like headaches, etc.
