Bruh... big facts
Everytime Vince comes out the shadows he does nothing but drop dimes on us.
*dimes = gems
Dropping dimes insinuates snitching.
Dropping gems...means ... you're giving bits of knowledge and insight in a conversation... or in an individual context
Always
Should've done your due diligence before calling Vince a snitch lol

I swear Vince is the dominant force in any conversation he has. He is so sure of himself and comfortable. Never people pleasing or wavering.
Yeah. He didn’t ask one question. This isn’t even a conversation, it’s dude interviewing Vince!
@@gilbertpezzimenti241 He asked multiple questions
Self awareness on 1000
@@gilbertpezzimenti241 not really bruh... the question asking was a bit more one sided but it's clearly a conversation lmao
I think Hassan annoys Vince tbh

"No is one's special, and no one being special allows everyone to be significant" that really caught me off-guard, I really forgot how wise this man is. This is a new mantra for me.
🙌🏾 Its true once you get that mind that you not special then the next person you become content and more generous with others which is full filling In itself
didn't ask for this, but I'm grateful
literally lol
Couldn’t have said it any better
That’s a life bar...tell your parents and your grandkids this same thing and then walk out the room and if they ask u what u mean change the subject
I said the same thing! Lol it wasn’t needed but I’m not going to complain
I agree
"If the wrong person likes the right thing, it can f*ck your life up." - Vince Staples
The most prolific statement in this interview. This speaks directly to being on the hamster wheel of life and catering to those who don't align with you.
Boom!!!! Heard that Deeeeeeep
What did he mean by that?
Can you break that down a little simpler please? for us the sheeple
Basically, if you're constantly dealing with people who don't align with your morals, values, and core principles, it can completely shatter your life. Deal with those who want the same things you want.
@@ajtaylor8750 Thank you for breaking it down!
It's hard to believe that they're in the same multiverse
😂😂😂 nice
10:27 "It's more important to listen to people than it is to listen to music" -Vince
Isnt listening to music like listening to people ion know depends on who you listen to
@@raydonmerby imo a lot ofmusic doesn't get as deep as conversations like this, and we listen to the same music over and over
Music I listen to paint pictures, tell stories, provoke thought, and give insight. But it shouldn’t be the only thing you consume, or rely on
Says him! They’re both important in many ways
Ayyy it's Colin and Samir 👋

Glad to see Hasan is still doing well! His show didn't deserve to be cancelled, but he's taking it on the chin.
And speaking of chin: I'm already weirded out seeing Hasan without a beard!
same i'm so used to seeing his uncle look
I wonder why they canceled it... he was putting out great info
As soon as Hasan went to war with the Saudi government and Netflix apologized to them, I knew it was only a matter of time
Show didnt get cancelled. He decided he didnt want to do it anymore

I see a lot of Vince praise and rightfully so. He’s a very smart, well-spoken person. But I just wanna toss some praise on Hasan for guiding the conversation and allowing Vince to talk as much as he needs to get his points across. That’s a very tough skill in itself
Incredibly well done by the both of them
Well spoken black folks apparently deserve praise
@@THEsoulquarian ??? Anyone of any race who’s well spoken that can impart some wisdom in a clear and concise manner like he did here, deserves praise.

Right ✅
"Everybody is normal. No one is special. No one being special, allows everyone to be significant" Bruh... Vince is really one of the most profound people in music. His thinking is next level but it just sounds so regular to him. Easily one of my favorite people to hear speak.
I didn't understand what that meant
@@akshayde Everyone is of equal importance . Has role/job/duty and doing that is important. If no person is special, people are special. Hope that helps

Vince is very wise, seems like each year his viewpoint on the world grows less nihilistic and more complex. He really should do a podcast!
He still has a very nihilistic worldview but he finds, in the nihilism, the freedom to do whatever he wants.
@@buckwheat6245 then it's Existentialism I think, Nihlism says even self-defined meaning is meaningless
@@UserName-ii1ce perhaps a bit of optimistic nihilism then? Because that states that what you give importance to matters but big picture nothing really matters.

GQ has some of the best random content. Nobody asked for this, but they knew we needed it.
bro this ain't random. this whole idea just started as an advertisement. they know exactly who they're tryna reach
Vince has that quiet confidence...so much charisma!!!
Ugh that’s so attractive !
Vince is very underrated . He does great interviews all the time.
vince seems so happy bro im gonna cry
Bro relax wtf
Vince is an Existentialist. He perfectly explains it here. I'm glad he's exploring philosophy.
Yeeeessss. That's what I said.

I remember Hasan said if he could interview anyone it would be Vince Staples. Glad to see it coming to fruition!
Spotify definitely sponsored this. I swear Barack is behind the camera with cue cards 🤧🤧
“What’s even sadder than never having belief.. is like loosing belief and that’s when we all get stuck in the same pot.” Let that soak in. Deep
Vince has grown up so much. I mean he's always been ahead of his time, but he just looks like he's really filled into himself.. if that makes sense. Really resolute. Great interview~
This rules, but the awkward tie-ins to the Obama podcast is sooo weird lmao
it’s called ads homie
Eh they’re just getting their coin

i was just coming here to see if anyone else thought that lol

“No one being special allows everyone to be significant” -Vince Staples
We need Hasan's show back! He was always telling the truth🥺
Frrrrrrr
Listening to two different perspectives on two different career and backgrounds is mad interesting and it's relatable.
This is the most serious I've ever seen Vince. I didn't know he would interact without making it sarcastic.
Anyone here who’s interested in Vince should watch his NPR interview, really shows how insightful and intelligent he really is.
“You have to know where you sit in life and you know how to get out of it” yes
This feels like two parts of my brain meeting each other ... thanks GQ for helping me solve my personnality puzzle
There’s something strangely deep about Vince. He’s such a weird, funny, unique guy.
Vince is the prime example of a phrase I use saying "He can do the math." He's so profound in his language and people wonder why. He's broken down situations to such an extent that he can summarize the heavy introspective topics so easily and we get these great phrases. That's doing the math.
He can for sure do the math.
Honestly could listen to Vince talk for hours an interview with him and chapelle would be amazing
Omg yes
Same
that would be perfect
I would definitely pay to see this.
The conversation we weren’t expecting but the one we needed 😩🤚🏾
Vince Staples is the opposite of Ja Rule, he's the only rapper that people actually want to hear his opinion about everything.
"I need him to make sense of all this!"
"My name in the dorms was DCMA Takedown Notice" is absolute fire
I love watching interviews with Vince. He’s always so engaged and he will surprise every time. He’s full of gems.
