Fun fact! they have this sushi chain with gachapon/capsule toys in america too! They're called Kura sushi! I've gone to one in houston texas super fun! They're in california, new york, texas, georgia, illinois and nevada!
Here I sit several years later, and this is STILL a top 3 channel for good info on Japan. Love your content John!! ( And all the crew behind the scenes)
Avery the Cuban-American the conveyer belt sushi restaurants in America have tons of options for non raw or picky sushi but Japanese conveyer belt places most likely won’t have too many non raw or non picky sushi. natto and cucumber rolls are prob the only couple option for non raw sushi
Another ‘must watch’ by John, and a great guest spot by Jennifer👍🏻 I also spot Hana 😁 A great idea having non sushi dishes, ideal for my family of 2 sushi lovers, 1 no raw fish eater and a vegetarian. Wish we had one of these in the Uk 😉
@OnlyInJapan Sugoi John and Jennifer I always love seeing the dynamic duo in another food episode and of I’m learning everything about the food and cultural aspects of Japan. To tell you the truth John you reignited my flames to visit Japan someday and I thank you for it!
Love everything, the music when John is eating the burger, Jennifer surprised expression when she realizes is actually nice food, the beer pouring machine, the menu, really awesome, thanks so much!
Thank you ONLY in JAPAN, before I watched your channel I had a very limited understanding of what Japanese food truly was, I have long wanted to visit the country but have been unable to for various reasons, videos like these showcasing the weird and the wonderful of Japanese food are fantastic please keep up the amazing work
Omg!!! After watching Jennifer’s edomae sushi video I was thinking she should do a video on the different kinds of sushi. Lo and behold, it’s you that did it and with Jennifer too!!!! Well kinda different “sushi!” 🤷🏻♀️
Europe needs this kind of innovation at restaurants i'd be a very happy satisfied customer just watching my burger coming through the express line. Thanks John & Hanna and Jennifer. x merci
I just had dinner and still - when watching this I want to be there and taste everything! Good job! I feel hungry again. This is the worst channel if you are hungry.
I busted up laughing right at the end when Hana twiddling her thumbs watching the conveyor belt with no food on her table. I hope you gave her some food even though she's vegetarian.
Hahaha! I wrote this a few times. It was just an Easter egg scene for the ending :) she did such a good job helping to set this up with KURA Sushi and getting permission. Big thumbs up for Hana!
Finally out! Have been waiting for this video. I really love sushi and can't wait to try them in Japan~ Great to see the other dishes served here despite Sushi, a unique video idea. Will definitely know what to order now xD I like the idea of the IC chip it guarantees that the food is still fresh by determining the time it's on the belt and also sorts out the dishes popularity o.o I SEE HANA at 13:21 sitting behind you both *-*
it's also good for tourists, in the case that for example one person wants to eat traditional sushi but his companion is not convinced about eating raw fish; he can then enjoy other kind of food. By the way i am going to japan in November, it's not exactly my first time in Japan but it will be my first time in this kaitenzushi so thank you for the insights.
Fun fact! NOT only in japan!!! They have this sushi chain restaurant with gachapon/capsule toys in america too! They're called Kura sushi! I've gone to one in houston texas super fun! They're in california, new york, texas, georgia, illinois and nevada, as well as japan!
I'd Love To Try This One Day. This Looks So Unique & Fun. Amazing Video John. also, it's always Lovely To See Jennifer. p.s. I saw the build-up on Instagram that you were about to post this video. I was waiting all day today for the notification.
The food on the conveyer belt, the food itself, the choice of non-sushi items, the game you get to play after sliding dishes into a slot, the automatic drink dispensers at each table...that place is like a gustatory Disneyland!!! Minus the rodent mascot of course...
You are very creative for bringing a different way of looking at kaiten sushi restaurants. I never realized they had such non-sushi items. (Hana, I see you!)
I don't know the best place for all people in the world or not always. But i love the quality of life, about food, farm, everything, and i hope in the future i wanna live in japan for the rest of my life.
The Hambaga nigiri was my kids favorite in Japan and they ate SOOOO much of it. It was rich, flavorful and just the right mouthful for kids to enjoy. The vinegared rice was great with it too!
Yes !! Kura sushi..its cheap , fresh and delicious ! I always go to kura sushi everytime i go to Japan ! Anyway jennifer’s face realy tell the flavour !
This was a very thorough coverage of a more family-friendly conveyor belt sushi restaurant aka "Kaiten Sushi Restaurant" in Japan. As a traveler, it helps to understand and know the other dining options outside of fast food, street food, and fine dining. This particular kaiten sushi restaurant shows us the ease of ordering and the many menu items to choose from. I would most certainly enjoy going there to eat when I travel to Japan. I love a unique dining experience.
Instructive, i would've thought that non-sushi items were going to be un-palatable but you disprove my theory. Food critic Jennifer is totally adorable too, have her back on the channel i say!
I've been to Kura in Sacramento. I'm sure it's nothing compared to the locations in Japan but it was still pretty good. I love their shoyu ramen. Delicious!
What a fun place! John, you are correct, kids would love this place! Thanks for showing us something absolutely fascinating. As always, take care and Happy Travels!
i go to kura in texas all the time!! theres one in dallas, houston, and a few other places!! they also have locations in cali, georgia, and a few other states❤️❤️❤️
Interesting restaurant menu items. I am glad you and Jennifer could collaborate on another video. As usual, it took you a while to get a beer in front of her, guess you are out if practice. (😉) The food that you ordered looked soo appitizing. I always love it when you do videos with Jennifer. You two seem to have great on camera "chemestry". Hope you can do more with her on your go channel, with Kanai too. Thanks for the content of the videos on this channel.
Whaaat!!!????? This place is awesome!! Burgers on a conveyor belt? Asahi Beer pouring machine? Win prizes too?? Very smart. Nice Video thanks!!! 🙂

Nina Dees thanks for sharing that! Cool that we have them here in the states too, yea it looks like so much fun 😊 I gotta go 🙏🏻
well the cost of the place is not cheap.......
Way too much froth on that beer
Finally a long overdue only in japan video thanks John!
I like how Hana was to see sneaky at the end on the other table :D
@@randomlivestreams5900 So that was Hana right? i wasn't sure!
There's a weird dynamic/vibe between these two, like they didn't want to share the food lol
Ogor Af omg I was thinking the same EXACT thing 😩😂😂😂 like the vibes they were throwing off... “get your own!”
Japanese culture you don't just eat someone's food it's considered unhygienic.
They shared breaded shrimp sandwiches in the japanese sandwich video...
She didn't want to share it but just snatched the other plate from his hand and then asked if she could try it, she's such a snob.

Well thank you sooo much for what you do good sir. 😊 It is most.... Well, just amazing I guess lol.
I like the concept of conveyor belt sushi. I like they included alternatives for those that can't eat the raw fish or picky

It is nice to see you and Jennifer in a video together! Great duo for exploring Japan. Both of you are very passionate about what you do

two of my beloved youtubers from japan.
Japan is a country of development and culture. i love japan
Culture yes but development not really. They are still stuck in there traditional ways.
@@xcalibertrekker6693 actually they go hand in hand - a mix between traditional and development
Really love your collab with Jennifer, fun as always. BTW, saw Hana sitting all alone by herself towards the end sipping tea.
The intro is just perfect, please never change it.
These videos were nice before the COVID-19 lock-downs, now it's a special treat to watch because of being stuck indoors for so long
