I love the transition so much. The body and controlled crashability is phenomenal. The part I least like is the bell. It’s just not as defined as I want and doesn’t cut through in louder music. It’s hard to explain but u have to hit the bell on the exact sweet spot to get that good attacky bell sound, most bells u can generally hit around the middle to low end of the bell and have a good sound but if u listen closely in this video it also sounds like a clicking sound or sounds like ur missing the bell and half hitting the drum screw on the cymbal stand. Lol idk it’s weird and it’s prolly just my ocd but wish it came with a clearer bell but I know mike prefers this open washy bell so that’s what meinl did and nailed it from his description. I also have the 22 inch extra medium ride which has a little better bigger bell and I have the 22 inch Benny Greb’s sand ride which has an amazinggggg bell. But when we play a show I bust out the serpents ride which has the loudest bell ever and the stick definition on the body is amazing and clear but still is light enough to get just enough crashability. But for the practice room I def prefer the sand ride or the extra dry medium ride. I also have the 22 inch traditional medium ride which can do it all and is prolly the most versatile ride I have.
And this is how you waste cymbals and should give them to others because they have no money and could make use of it more and maybe they are super cool drummers, so talented and good... -_-
This is listed as mikes "signature set up". Why does the Mike Johnston cymbal pack not include the dual hats and 19" crash? Are these cymbals in this video offered as a pack?
Most of these demos the drummers don't demo the stack cymbal or china A lot of times they over play one cymbal so we all miss out on what the whole set sounds together
Stack sounds amazing!!!
Drumski good one lol
My stack sounds just like that one!
Nothing? Lol
Nice call
That stack somehow represents my life; I'm not sure how yet.
😂That’s both sad and inspiring!😂

Well... way to forget about the stack.

Hinnerk how is his playing a waste of cymbals? He's one of the best players around, whether or not he hit the stack.
Stefan Griffin Dude has a minuscule amount of cymbals too. Probably the dumbest comment I have come across in awhile.
Hinnerk .... Sarcasm? (I hope)

It was about the stack he didn't play a single time :D
awesome set /sound...loving it.
That 20'' Extra Thin Hammered Crash has a beautiful sound!
Spitzen Sound! Und das gilt nicht nur für die Becken!! ;-) LG, Jürgen.

That stack is now on the island of misfit toys...
not playing the stack is bad for my ocd

What was the point of even adding the stack combination, I wanted to know what it would sound like...
WHAT is up with that bass drum??
My top 3 Meinl cymbals artists:
1. Mike Johntson
2. Benny Greb
3. Chris Coleman
James Donaldson flip that and you get mine
Thunder Butter!!!!!!
Ok. And the stack? Haha ;( he forgot?
Hi , can I ask questions for this drum drumheads model ?
They look like aquarians I can't tell the exact model tho
And kids, when he hit the stack I knew your mother... wait he didn't hit the stack!!!
some of what he's playing sounds like the drums from Birdman

Didn't hit the stack?! Must be a hack....jk props to mike lol
Mike's fake double bass is incredible
