Byzance Series
The warm darkness of traditional hand hammered cymbals is re-imagined with Byzance. Each range is hand crafted by MEINL artisans at our foundry in Turkey, then given sound-enhancing final touches by our craftsmen in Germany. Six different ranges offer a choice of feels and sounds for virtually every style of music. Best of all, with Byzance your sound is all yours, because every Byzance cymbal is a one-of-a-kind.
DARK DEFINITION
Living up to their name, these cymbals are extremely dry, with low-pitched, trashy sounds and short sustain. The raw unlathed surfaces and extensive hand hammering suggest that their sound might be loud and fierce. In reality, the Extra Dry series reveals its dark, earthy tones and comes to life when played at lower volumes.
Just bought the transition ride today , AMAZING! Matches well with my K hats and HHX crashes.
oh my god these are the perfect cymbals for me! aww they are beautiful...some day I will have these...some day
Gotta love cymbals that go bwoooush
these would be perfect for contemporary worship music.
Absolutely right.
Exactly why I'm here 😂
I play top of line Sabian cymbals at church and the crashes when you hit them light they go whooooosh. Also they do the same thing when you hit them hard. You can hit them lightly and it opens up.
Mike your the best
Some big crashes. Nice.
Larry Tate normal size crashes*
Normal size for crashes would be 14 - 18.
20+ are bigger as "usual".

Is it good for punk
+Robert De La Rosa I wouldn't say so. These cymbals are super thin and don't need much attack to really open up so you've go through these quick.
Not at all for that one particular genre. You want a lil bit brighter cymbals for punk. Sabian AAX, Zildjian Avedis. These are a bit dark and artsy. If u want versatile but dark cymbals check out the Sabian hhx evolution series. Dark but still cutting.
If you play punk. Or hardcore with d-beat try using a 20inch zildjian A medium ride cymbal top right and use it as a crash. Remember hit it lightly and it will always cut through, heavy in weight but still shimmers and washes without flying around. Use 22 inch ride low to right just above floor Tom for sticking patterns during chorus use bell for accents. Large cymbals last longer. Stay in one spot and are easier to hit, just never too hard. If you crack cymbals EVER. Hit them lighter. Also do not tighten down washer nuts and choke cymbals. They break quicker. Splashes and China’s are waste of money unless you are an annoying metal drummer who solos over everything ignoring keeping time. Good luck
@@jefflyon2020 you sound incredibly one dimensional saying accent cymbals only fit metal. lol
What kinda tom mics are those?
Larry Tate yes
+than Heath You are an idiot right? o_O
Cool, but too individual sounding.
