Had a game on Hurtgen forest yesterday (the first version, not the city). I was a maus playing as a total stalwart keeping the enemy from my spawn. I just missed a shot on a Lorraine 40t and a nuke went off. Turns out one of my teammates had gotten something like 11 kills and 2 solo caps, so he popped in an il-28 and won the game for us. I was so happy. . .

Late but I saw somewhere that the initial flash can be so bright that while looking at it, you can clearly see the bones in your hands even if you close your eyes.

I hope there is some sort of special “endgame”mode that lets players outside of a certian radius of impact keep playing.
Their crews are dead men walking,but outside of the blast radius that kills them.As a player you can still either fight the last of the battle out in your current tank or “give up” and exit vehicle to start a new match. Nobody wins when the bomb is dropped,and those on the ground get assists only for the kills.
Imagine if in some cases radiation resistant vehicles could still spawn on the now wrecked map and play through the nuclear wasteland.

The effects are so realistic it even blew up my pc! Amazing work really outdid themselves this time.
That's one damned fine animation right there ! I posted a comment on another video to the effect that the size, blast radius and cloud shape suggest an atomic (not thermonuclear) blast of approximately 20-30 kilotonnes. Seeing as the bomb model is of a Mark VI free fall bomb (in US service 1951-1962) this makes sense as that bomb had a dialable yield of between 20 and 60 kilotonnes.
Next up we need animations for the low yield Aim-2 Genie AAM and Davy Crockett style devices !

Well, new effects for some planes, sure, which still have the old jet exhaust effect for their afterburner
@@setesh1294 even the supposed "new" ones look awful whenever its not day time. I think Gaijin can make a 3D afterburner flame, instead of some 2D textures. Compared to the effects they have in DCS, one in WT look pretty bad. Also vapour cone can get an update too. Now that they added wingflex, they can also add wing vapour.
And a new effect for the supersonic vapour.
Here comes 2 fps, game crashes and 10 000 mini patches trying to fix it
press F for my 10 year old PC. (i have to play at low quality and barely 25 fps)

Gaijin, can I suggest something? Make these nuke clips videos. That way, even not-so-good computers can render them and watch this amazing footage.
If you're going to make it an in-game render, i'd suggest keeping the player cam on tanks so they can watch the carnage.

The immense pressure and overwhelming sense of dread with the menacing Geiger counter. Just means that humans have gone way to far to just receive "victory" at the cost of everything.
Just imagine being a soldier in a anti radioactive suit. Just rummaging around the aftermath of atomic warfare. To just look up and still see the mushroom cloud still there. Just towering over everything, and destroying everything. And to just think that humans made that to just win.

-fix the repair costs
-fix B.R. compression
-fix the game servers
-fix the overly painful grind
-fix op premiums
-give minors nations some love
what we get:
-New (most probably op) tier 6 jets
-New effects for a feature that will be seen once in a while
-New tier 7 aircraft (already confirmed in a Q&A and now with the tier 6 premiums there is a chance for them to come in the new update or the next year)

I think you got carried away with the zero's there, it has a 10 if front for sure, but anything after that is pure RNG.
This is by far the best nuke blast I've ever seen in a video game.

predicament?
Problem?
Just a couple things:
The initial flash is accompanied by intense thermal radiation; that which is too far away from ground zero to be vaporized would melt or burst into flame.
While a shock wave travelling through earth moves faster than it does through air, the camera wouldn't start "rumbling" until the shock wave hit, meaning a clear and stable view as the shock wave approaches, then vibration if it wasn't knocked flat or destroyed.
imagine still being able to drive your tank or fly your plane while the bomb exploded than when the shockwave hit it would bring you too the cutscene but too make sure you do see the cut scene it would automatically bring you into the cutscene after like 30 seconds or something that was you can really see the explosive power of the nuke you can see the speed it comes in and you can see the buildings get completely destroyed
it would just be epic
