The Air Superiorty trailer came out less than an hour ago and I think personally that tops this but they are both amazing.

I wanna say it's the music and combat shots in Apex Predator that makes me get more hyped. Air Superiority is good, especially with some of the more cinematic shots they're putting in it, but that's the thing, it's more cinematic than action to me. Yes there is some action in it, but Apex Predator just hits harder IMO.
But yeah, I agree, they're both great trailers.
The way they introduce the F-16 after the MiG-29 and Tornado with the outline, cinematic perfection.

I rarely get chills, but this trailer was a masterpiece and it gave me feel good chills. Kudos to the creators of the trailer.

Like the f16 missing the Su22 with an aim9, its there to let them know they have nothing to worry about; even with the Falcon and Tornado, other nations still won't be able to compete, its symbolic for a reason.

I started playing this game 2012, maybe before and I started because I felt one day they would add things like the Apache, Abrams, F-14, Su-25, F-16, A-10. These iconic vehicles. Even features like thermal optics, ATGM’s, night vision (ground & air). 10+ years later everything I wanted is here/coming.

@@senseishu937 man I only reached top tier I think at the start of this year or last year. I’ve never had premium. Only time is when I bought a German tank destroyer, Panzer IV/70(v) or (a). I don’t remember 😂
I also play a lot of the nations, never really focused on just one. But yeah man the grind is REAAAAAAL

I really don’t get that kind of thinking, I was able to grind to the f14 in about 1 month with no premium and 3-4 hours of playtime a day, it’s pretty easy when you know how to play I guess but still.

@@Frostyboy2016 How do people do that, I play since 2013, I have 1300h on steam, playtime before steam not counted in and I havn't reached rank 6 on any nation yet. I started to rank up swedish Tanks about 2 months ago and just reached Tier 4 now. The Grind is awful and because of the expensive repair costs I almost make no SL in higher Tiers even tho I cap points and destroy 2-3 tanks average on each match.

The music, the model, the way they did it all is probly the best introduction to an aircraft ive ever seen warthunder do at the 2:00 mark. i cannot speak any higher of how well that was done. great trailer overall as well.

I absolutely adore the characterization in this video. The Tornado and MiG are depicted with a very conventional noble "gentlemen's war" kind of vibe, with mutual respect between both parties and a fundamental love for the skies. They could be Ace Combat protagonists- two pilots on the opposite side of a war, chivalrous duelists in an era where knights no longer exist.
The F-16 though... it's depicted as inhuman. A threat, an apex predator as the title suggests, more of a force of nature than a vehicle driven by a human pilot. You get the sense that if you saw a Tornado or MiG coming you should prepare for fierce combat. You see an F-16 coming- you _run._

Gaijin really knows how to make us excited for every new update, even though it's hard sometimes to keep playing, I think we can all agree that Gaijin did an amazing job once again.

As much as the game gets boring after a few days or weeks of playing, the trailers always brings be back for a short while. Until I get stuck in the infinite grind and realise I'll never get those vehicles and play another game. A less expensive and grindy one.

The only time this community ever truly comes together in celebration for this game is whenever a new teaser drops. They're always flawless and get you pumped to plug in another 200 hours to unlock a single fighter plane.

And for once, theres noone that gets left out on getting new toys as basically all nations can get either F-16s, MiG-29s or Tornados. Some even a combination of them.

I just keep coming back to this teaser. It is an absolute A-grade video and everything an update teaser should be. Sure, they had good help in the patch featuring such epic aircraft, but the video is simply amazing. A good story, well told. The first look/presentation of the F-16 still gives me the shivers and I'm more of an F-15-guy, that sure says something.

sometimes i wish they would just add voice chat comms. but i also know that with it, comes even more problems. toxicity probably being the least of our concern.
Usually if I try to fly in formation people get nervous and hit the ground or try to do a flip, usually leading to the casualty of another teammate.
Just find a good squad you can trust and use Discord VC to coordinate. After that just be better.

F-16A Block 10 with no BVR missiles, limited countermeasures, and only the IDS model of the Tornado. Meanwhile, Russia gets R-27's, R-73's, and all that on a blatantly overpowered platform with far, far better flight performance than anything in the game...

Well, IDS Tornados are pretty much Dead on arrival with F-16s and MIG-29s coming in the same Update. The German Air Tree is getting shafted pretty hard. Oh, and RIP Italy for getting a F-104 as Premium

@@warc9470 6 Aim 9 L's on a F16 with a vulcan is positively terrifying. Considering its going to fight side by side with the Missile truck that is the F4's and F14's
@@warc9470 With how much the 9L's flare resistance is currently overperforming in game, the F16 with 6x 9L would be absolute cancer to face, especially in the Mig-29 considering that thing's engines run at 1400°C, so another 200°C hotter than the F14, which basically already cannot flare a rear aspect Aim-9L.
POV: you watched this and you thought "wow I want this when it comes out" but you don't have jets yet so you try to grind but end up rage quiting.
We went from the worst air update in war thunder to the best one!
I think that's the exact reason why it was bad, because they were making a content gap for this huge update

I still remember playing the F2 years ago, how long it has come to see now the F16 in the game, still hoping for Gaijin to add a mode where its just plane combat with no missiles so we can fight with plane performance rather than missile spam.
A huge issue is that BVR combat, is a huge aspect of modern western planes, to the point that their dogfighting capability suffers for it. If you remove that, then western planes are going to be unviable, which will lead to more russian bias.
Not saying you're wrong for wanting a pure dogfight gamemode, but it's hopefully not going to happen.
@@adamtelek294 Bruh, not at all. The very F-16 you see here is the perfect example of a US aircraft that can viably engage in raid fights against Russian aircraft.
Pure dogfight modes exist in DCS, and aircraft like the F-18 and F-16 not only work fine, but are in fact fan favorites for those kinds of matches. You are just simply wrong here.

but 4th gen are still built with BFM in mind.
look at the F16, the F18 is a good example too, though it's less maneuverable it will still hold its own and can bring that nose around.
5th gen western on the other hand... that's another story
I hope they will keep up working with reality. I don’t care if they add more BVR systems like a AIM-120 or a Meteor (though this will take muuuuuch time to be added)
