I have a GTV that has 4 of those trap pins on each side. I haven't yet been able to get out of them, although I didn't spend too much time on them. They are annoying
The Lockpicking Lawyer opened and gutted one years ago. Number 142. Both you guys inspire me to keep practicing but I can't imagine ever getting to your level. Thanks!
Nice job! So, do the trap pins just go into the chamber at an angle? Are they cut at an angle? I'm not sure how it's binding up the core in both directions.
Yikes! Just watching you work that lock will give me nightmares! Excellent work! (I think this lock gave you more trouble than the Medeco you picked a while ago.)
Hello I've brought the dual dangerfield praxixs lock picks. Would I still need to get long/high pick aswell or a monkey paw for the high pins or can you still pick with just the hooks I got? Just want to know if it's my picking or the hooks. Thankyou for all tour videos
Hi Lock Noob, well picked in both situations! I guess with those multiple trap pins, realistically, it would probably only be Locksmiths in the main, that would have to deal with them. Full length key pins would surely prevent a bump key from being removed once trapped, and a plug spinner would have to deal with not only the trap pins, but the open bottom of the keyway ... tricky! Using an impressioning gun to make a key, would be my goto.
Think the marker ticks really showed just how difficult that lock was to pick. Just out of interest, how long did it take you to be able to pick it efficiently for the video?
Hey guys, I once picked a master lock tag out lock, and after turning the core 180 degrees, the driver pins jammed. Stupid mistake. I then picked a lock at my church (with permission) and they require you to turn the core a full 360 degrees to unlock, and before passing 180 degrees I remembered what happened to my master lock tag out lock, so I went back and didn't keep going. If I kept going, would the lock also jam?? Or would I have to pick it one more time at 180 degrees to finish the full 360? Do all locks jam at 180 degrees? Or only padlocks? Someone please help!!
Usually the driver pins just protrude into the bottom of the core a bit. You can usually just push them back up with the back of your pick (but master pins can fall out, so be careful with master keyed locks). The problem with your LOTO lock is the the key pins are loaded at 180° through holes at the bottom of the cylinder, so when you turned the core over they were able to fall out into the hollow lock.
There are still a few locks that use trap pins. It seems Fullex did not have any customer demand for them. A business needs to be able to re-key locks easily and this one looks difficult enough to be disposable. Locksport hobbyists can't support a business.
Now I thought you were going to say if you see one of these, run away :) That looks like a beast to pick, I found one video that LPL did a few years back, ruclips.net/video/08u1FE_zIK0/видео.html It's only a half euro, but has 5 trap pins and he gutted it.
Kind of dumb way to disassemble, many usable parts destroyed. I can find many RUclips videos of things being destroyed. Kind of defeats the name "REBUILD rescues.
I genuinely believe this lock has the hardest trap pins in a standard Euro Cylinder!

There's also a Lucznik lock with the same type of configuration, 4 trap pins each side
What an awesome walk through this lock. First class picking as always.
Great picking! Those trap pins seem like a nightmare! Thanks for sharing! 🥰😍😘☺️

Nice pick, WAY beyond my capabilities!
Too good to remain in production. 🇺🇸

Nice intricate work.
Nice pick. Yeah ebay sell the new version for a tenner.

You can get by pretty well, it some deeper hooks will make a big difference, especially at 0.018” - 0.020” thickness
wow Ash mate that is a tricky one👊👍😎😊🇬🇧

0:50 oh hey that’s me!
🙀 nasty lock!!😅
Very well done!!!
🐾🐈⬛🐈🐾🇬🇧🍻👍🐝
I can only hope to be good enough to try picking one of these someday! Thanks for the video!
I finally got the pick card you helped design😝 Is there a lock in existence that is pick, drill and shim proof?
Very interesting. Would a pinning shoe help in gutting it?
Do u have problems with bending ur picks? I feel I’m over tensioning maybe?
Nice work 👍👍
Amazing Stuff Sir!
As always, awesome picking, awesome video! Thank you for sharing!
Something very similar on eBay, probably the modern equivalent as it has anti-snap and the trap pins are in different locations.

Love seeing your content ❤😊

Fantastic stuff on that hateful wee lock…
LN You Best Locksmith )))
Nice video !!!
Very many information and very, very excellent pick, Master 👍🔓🏆🥇🌐
Interesting cylinder 👍🔓💯
Good luck 👍🔓
And when the door lock is hidden? You work in the same way?
They should have named that lock a booger because it's a booger to pick.
If they are SO pick resistant, why can't you buy them, or anything like them today?
Costly I guess

Second comment! 😂
