We're flying from Manchester to Hong Kong and then onwards to Perth, Australia with Cathay next year. We've booked Premium so I'm excited to see if it's as good as this.

If I travel in CX Premium Economy am I allowed to go to the business class galley for snacks or have to now go to the back of economy class snack galley to get snacks?

CX Premium Eco seems great and valuable. I’ve experienced CX twice in Eco from CDG to HKG and was disappointed by their FA « robot style » service - and hence was back to AF. I had enjoyed the catering although food was too short for a long haul flight. I’ve truly loved their IFE coz as i couldn’t sleep during the flight, i’ve watched 6 films in a row and it made my flight more enjoyable and less boring. Thanks for the report 👍👍👍

Yes, sure the legroom is great. Until the one in front of you reclines the seat all the way, and then suddenly that great room is significant smaller. That is what I don't like with PE, that the seats reclines the same way as in Economy. And that is no critic against Cathay Pacific, which I love as a great airline. It's just the way it is

I was stuck at FRA T2 also last week - because security was so slow (it really is appalling at T2) we lost our slot. I know just how you must have felt.

Hi Mike, thanks for the video. If you have tried SQ's PE, how does it compare to CX's PE, based only upon seat comfort? I am not too concerned about the meals or the amenities kit.

Cathay pacific is every day worst and worst, especially service in-ground and on board, food, service, drinks, lounge, all every day is worst and worst. Cathay don't deserve more than 3 stars, really

It is not. Only Business Class seats can recline to flat bed
2019 Hong Kong protests
During the 2019 Hong Kong anti-extradition bill protests Cathay Pacific employees participated in protests at Hong Kong International Airport. The Beijing government which is a shareholder in Cathay Pacific ordered Cathay to suspend any employees that participated in the protest. Cathay chairman John Slosar responded saying: "We employ 27,000 staff in Hong Kong doing all sorts of different jobs... we certainly wouldn't dream of telling them what they have to think about something."[88] Cathay Pacific later suspended a pilot that was arrested during a protest, and CEO Rupert Hogg declared their support to the government, and reiterated that employees who violated the company's code of conduct could be dismissed.[89] On 16 August, Hogg resigned due to "intense criticism," that the airline faced from Chinese authorities as a result of Cathay's staff participating in the protests.[90] "Chief customer and commercial officer", Paul Loo also resigned.[91] By late September, Cathay Pacific employees began reporting that a "culture of fear" had overtaken the company following multiple instances of disciplinary action being taken against employees involved in any protests. [92]
