All these dudes are rich when they started their pokemon collection journey. None of them came from nothing, they had the funds to do it already. Be honest content creators.
Couldn't agree more... Example creating a 3-4 Mil store in under 5 years is absolutely mind boggling... I would love to hear from small collectors and making their collection grow and learn from them.
Dylan and Bublastore got the Vendor POV on lock. Coop's Collection just reached 100k subs because of his kindness that many people think he keeps losing money giving away cards and selling cards at a discount. People thought he was losing, but in the long run, he is definitely winning. How many vendors have you seen give cards away and sell at a discount that favors the buyers tremendously? Not many.
Likely answer: Started with loads of money to buy in. Cynical answer: Running a cash business (easier to avoid tax). Neutral answer: Right time right place having the cards before they boomed in value (same principle as people inheriting house from parents in the UK 1990s when the market boomed in value - you sell you get rich).
Gonna be honest i thought Bulbastore was Mid 30s - Early 40s. I thought the guy i had seen at his table that looks like he's in his late teens was his son 😂
18:35 Thats my son Ventura 💙 he was going to ask you for a autograph. But saw you were busy in a interview and him being kind knew it was not the best moment for that. Hopefully next time he sees you he will get it. 😊
I sold my childhood collection. for about 1500 and started buying small lots and resell on ebay for about 2 years. then started conventions. iv only done 2 conventions and about to do my 3rd. Im going with around 70k worth of inventory. Its been a grind but i keep advancing and progressing each thing i do. It doesnt always take a rich person just someone who grinds constantly.
I always think back to when they gave out a mew card at the "the first movie" premiere and wonder if it's even worth anything and what life would've been like if i had kept it. After all it was literally the first and only pokemon card i've ever owned. ❤ the channel and glad it's still kinda small. Just makes it more real and personalized.
THIS VIDEO IS INSPIRING, any one could do it. With money or little bit of money… YOU JUST GOTTA DO IT! (been collecting for 4 years and recently been selling on Mercari, eBay and OfferUp) one day I want to do a event like this. Next year is the year!
You would have to assume that TAG 10 illustrator was once a PSA 9. Since they’re a new company I wonder if they bumped up the grade for marketing reasons 🤔
If possible, could you explain how you use the Rollo printer in the Whatnot stream room. Is it for the person who ordered if so, could you show how to set that up and also go into OBS for Whatnot I believe a lot of people would love to see the background processes like that!
As someone who has recorded pack openings and struggled to find a comfortable way to record it and show it well, 5:24, Radar's way is something that has never crossed my mind and now im doubting my intelligence.
But how guys this 3 years ago and have poncho pikachu or like that??? You start with some crazy money. I started with my like 300 euro and never used my money again, selling and buying with money I earn by selling hits. I m around 1000 bucks in plus. I started with chilling reign.. so like 3 to 4 years.
Early in the pkmn tcg collecting hobby addiction is how u could get the grails for much cheaper when they came out. Or u have a good career to buy or like real estate. I graded over 5000 pokemon cards, and grading cost is also very expensive now. back in the day it was $6-$7 a card.
Thank you for doing a video like this. Thinks it's easy to get discouraged early as an online presence. Hearing this definitely helps try to keep trending on.
Ugh I hate the way this dude ONLY cares about profit when it comes to Pokemon. He’s not a fan at all. If Pokemon lost popularity he’d immediately abandon it and jump into whatever was profitable.
@@BrandonMartyn That’s the issue though is you do it on all your channels. If you just did it here I wouldn’t say anything at all as I would see it as a sort of seperate business focused channel distinct from your other channels. But even in your MysticRips videos you literally judge how good a set is based on constantly fluctuating prices of the cards rather than which ones you personally like best regardless of price. It just doesn’t come off well because when you do that it seems like you don’t actually like anything and go by price lists.
@blake7587 yo I don't know how to tell you this I know it might seem crazy but mabye it's because he relies on pokemon for a income and he needs money 🤯

So your best option is to just move on and not waste your time commenting because he's just gonna keep doing what he's doing. You don't have to like it, but you also don't have to speak on it. Some people are saying that all the people interviewed already had money. While that's probably true and there is nothing wrong with that, i think it's more about the title being misleading. To me this is more of a "pokemon businesses and collectors share their stories and flex" which really isn't bad either. Anyone in their position would be proud of what they own. That being said, I think people want to hear a more inspiring story. And maybe the truth is those just don't exist (quite yet).
