Explained: HELENA, ALABAMA ~ BEST RATED SMALL TOWN IN THE SOUTH

One of the best towns in the south. Perfect small town located just outside of the Birmingham Alabama Metro Area. Located between mountains and parks there is plenty to do for the person who likes nature here.

This is my home. Have lived here since 98. Moved here when it was about 5000 residents, now its around 20K. Houses are overpriced but it is a very nice place to live. Far enough from Birmingham to be quaint, close enough to Montgomery, Huntsville . It is a replica of a small Florida town. Hardly find any who "grew up" in Helena. Everybody is transplants. have folks hailing from New England, California, Texas, Florida, Ohio, Mich. It is interesting with the folks from different regions of the country. Low crime rate, high standard of living. It is expensive but it is worth it.

Police are crap, traffic is horrible, they keep adding businesses which ads to even more traffic. Too many people own loud vehicles and like to run them late at night for some reason. I hate Helena!!!

Riverwoods, Quail Ridge, Creekwater, and Chestnut Forest are the nicest neighborhoods in Helena. You should’ve gone to those. Also, the median income in Helena is $87,000
