What Canon did is excellent point on ~ why you would ask?
Because every RUclipsr is posting videos talking about this just like this upload. In 4-5 months Canon will give you more data and the cycle will repeat itself come on Fro you stay up at 12am making a video about the R1 without having an info.
I cant totally agree. People are talking but are they buying? I dont even think flagships sell that well. Its funny to see how concerned everyone is about a camera they wouldn't get.
People are not talking about Canon - people are making fun of Canon ;-)
How long can you talk about R1, it is almost four years already…
The hell with the price give me the weight with batts and lens. I'm tired of carrying boat anchors.
Dude, we are getting sick and tired of this R1 talk and rumors and crap. Canon teases and then gives some crappy specs about the R1. Sony on the other hand just releases it. They never tease the A1 until the day of its launch.
You know what they say, if you have to ask the price, you can't afford it.
DON'T BUY SONY LENS BOYS...buy 3RD party lens....save your money!!!!!!!!! use that money to travel and buy food for your kids.
But I… I dont own a sony camera? :(
Yes, very true, the sigma is for boys. The Sony GM is for men.
But.... many sony bodies users also use ef lens with an adaptor 🫢🫢🫢
Not good advice for everyone.
I took your advice... With the extra money I was able to travel to the nearest pizzeria and buy a pizza for my kids... It was nice.
I called it...just another R3 situation...add the whole "Subscription based features" coming soon to the RF mount, and you have a good ol fashion "💩 Fest!" I will happily stay in the EF-sphere with all the amazing glass and DSLR bodies! 😉
The R3, "not a flagship camera", was released at $6000. It would be odd for the R1, a "flagship model", to be released at the same price. Of course, 2.5 years after release, the R3 sells for $4500.
To me the specs that are out there for the R1 it's more like a R3 mark ii than a flagship.
@@answeris4217 Yes, though the R3 basically was a Canon flagship camera following the mold of the 1DX. And it was in the flagship price range established over the past decade.
@@UnconventionalReasoning I always thought of the R3 as what the R6 is to the R5. A lower pixel rate camera for the Prosumer.
To me a Flagship today needs to at minimum compete with flagship cell phones... They should all have SIM card slots with 5K so they can be linked directly to their editing office so they can publish a fully decked out picure on their website within a few minutes.
Or even a short 8K video.
Cameras especially the top of the line need to be the best workflow out there not just the best picture.
@@answeris4217 I hope somebody makes a flagship for you before the end of the decade.
R3 was priced to milk early adopters for pro level camera, and they say it's not top pro to leave space for R1.
Nailed this time on "Accelerator"!
still not competing with L-MOUNT ALLIANCE !
@@cgiovanni5982 I shall seek this one out mediately for laughs, many thanks 👍
I think the leaked specs from Adorama was for R3 II, which would be the direct response to Sony A9 III. So R1 will compete with Sony A1 and R5 II with Sony A7R V.
We've known the specs for this camera for several months now the ballpark what the specs are going to be. The R5ii is going to be 45mp same as the current R5 and the R1 is 30mp or 33mp. It's not going to be 45 or 50. Canon is sticking with just going all in on speed I guess. Which is further just proving that's what they wanted to do originally before they renamed the original R1 to the R3. We literally already know a R3ii isn't in the pipeline at the moment.
Yes, the R1 is going to be the R3mk2 since the original R3 was suposed to be the R1 😂
Dang!!! The fro is extra strong in this video! If you can sing the high notes, then you could be the new lead for Boston! All joking aside, thanks for bringing the great content as always! 😁
Canon needs to try and repeat the success that was the 1DsMkIII, which was the best camera on the market for about half a decade in a time period when digital camera technology was advancing the most rapidly.
Which means I want Canon to make an R1S with a 100MP sensor, but still keeping fast enough readout speed to eliminate the mechanical shutter.
They cannot even make a flagship camera with a 45-50mp sensor like everyone else... 100mp maybe, but it's not going to be so fast. That's incredible amount of data it would need to write on a card.
@@urosjovanovic3142 The pixel pitch of the R7 would already make an 85MP full frame sensor, and that's still using Canon's old fabrication.
@@budthecyborg4575 Where can I find the card that could write all that data that fast?
@@urosjovanovic3142 Coincidentally Canon is also advertising new compressed RAW formats with the R1.
@@budthecyborg4575 So what do you think, how much data would that be? What's the necessary speed to eliminate rolling shutter? Or, even better, what's the sensor readout speed going to be for those 100mp?
Hey Jared,
Just wanted to say thanks for proudly wearing your Star of David, especially now. It means a lot to see you embracing your identity, even when things are tough.
Your courage sends a powerful message of acceptance and strength to everyone around you. Keep being awesome!
Thanks again,
Price will be not less than the D1xIII = ca. 7500€ .
I would say that the Canon R1 will cost between 6300 and 8300€! I am from Germany...
So who told you the cost?? Hitler ghost??
If in America will cost like 6000$, to us in Germany will be 8000 euros 😂
7999. Mark my word on it
People predict these absurd prices every flagship camera launch. Lol people were saying the R3 was gonna be $8000. It came in at $5999. People said the Z9 was gonna be $9000 and it released at $5500. It's like you guys don't look at trends or anything. Canon is going to release this at $6500 just like they've always released their flagships at.
@@kpopfanphotos Here is hoping. An R3 for $4,500 or $2K more for the R1.
@@kpopfanphotosthe very first EOS 1d was $8999-9999 depending on the country. Following cameras were 7999-8999and the then even eventually started dropping them at 6599-6799. So there’s a chance they just won make them as abundant and drop it at 6999-8999 for that early adoption tax. 😂
Makes sense. That was the price of the 1Ds in 2002 - the first full-frame DSLR. In today's money that would be over $13K. So not ridiculous at all.
So in Australia the R1 will probably be about $9k AUD! WOW!
Tony said that the R1 is 30MP and can shoot 240fps... and prerecording so....
This is what Adorama put on their website this week and then removed.
Press release was a weak attempt at damage control for their image problem
Will u review GFX line camera in the future ?
Don't get on the hate train brother. The R1 will be the best camera Canon has ever produced, period. If they blow the R5 and R3 out of the water in video performance then they will pass the Sony A1 and be the top camera in the industry.
I’m the last person to hate on the camera. You can’t hate on something you don’t know the specs of.
I know plenty of Pros that use 3rd party sony glass and do fine. Its total nonsense to say you have to use the sony if youre a pro.
If youre doing true magazine type shoots you likely something not covered on channels like this...like hasselblad.
Did Sigma fix the dust problem for the lens? I bought the Sony 20-70 f4 instead due to Sigma lens dust.
I predict the camera will take pictures and cost what they ask for it.
That sounds silly... but its not.
Hopefully, this drops the price of the R3 a little more. Right now it’s at $4,499. I’d like to see it go to $3,999.
I love my R5 & 6, but there’s something about holding a pro body that adding a battery grip doesn’t have.
[In a Dr. Evil voice] One million dollars!
The @OrdinaryFilmmaker reported that there is a good chance that certain features on the R1 regarding the AI aspect will be subscription based services only.
Any comment Fro?
The AI accelerator chip is just there to phone home to Canon to make sure your “AI subscription” is active.
If they have subscription services in regards to the operation of the camera…I’m out.
I think the r1 will be over $7k
I mentioned when the R7 was announced that I hoped it had 2 processors just like the 7Dii to help shift the large files, and nail Auto focus. What did get, well not quite a 7Dii mirrorless successor !
This R1 I believe is going to just good enough in all aspects against its peers. Which will lead the way fir the R1 mkii in 2 or 3 years time as canon need to keep customers not push off to nikon or Sony !
lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the R3 eyeball thing is stupid. I turned it on once, calibrated it...didn't work that great, turned it off and left it off.
Hey Jared I spotted someone at todays Phillies Game and well I like to send you a Photo of who it was taking Pictures with a very cool Camera.
If I had the money for a "pro" camera I would probably end up with an R5 mark ii when it comes out. The specs that are "leaked" don't really make me super exited about the R1... I am not trying to focus in and shoot an F1 car or going to a PGA event trying to figure out what club a player is playing with mid swing or you know trying to catch a bullet in focus when it's flying straight at me.
But.... Maybe I would like to someday have one of my products on a giant billboard in the middle of Time square... And that tiny 30Mp camera is beat out by their APSC censor R7
adrorama had the image sensor at 30mp and 120fps up to 240 in a 1 sec burst, 1 sec of preshooting. Stacked bsi.
Adorama copy and pasted, word for word, from a January 2024 rumour post on CR that was sourced from Weibo. Adorama knows nothing from Canon.
If those are the Phillies' City Connect uniforms, they're much better than my Chicago Cubs' "Wrigleyville" rags :)
The hell with the price give me the weight with batts and lens. I'm tired of carrying boat anchors.
No news on the Fujifilm X-Summit and the new X-T50, GFX 50SII, GF 500mm f/5.6 and XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8?????
I already filmed before that. Fuji didn’t send a press release so I had no idea what was coming.
Price will be somewhere around 7-8k
@jaredpoiln can you make a video of the r5 vs the r6 mark 2 .im looking for a new camera and would like your opinion .thank you
Canon thinks far too much of themselves to put out a competitive price...more like 7k.
Rumor sites are saying the R1 will have a 30mp sensor…good lord if that’s true the public lashing will be hilarious!
A 30mp stacked dgo sensor aimed at sports and wildlife photographers…. You want more megapixels… r5mk2
Some are now saying 24mp and 6k video
No info on the Fuji GFX100S!? 105MP insanity 🤔 maybe
Guys as long as a camera is not officially announced, it is under development. What’s the deal, it says nothing about the stage of development there in. What surprises me is the Price for RED. Means the EBITDA is between 6-7 Mio $. That’s nothing. So I guess it was even negative and they just paid the price for the patents. So great deal for Nikon 👍
Without knowing spec, $6500 possibly as much as $7000 at release.
The digic accelerator is probably some ai crap.
Tried the Sigma 24-70 i and Sony GM ii back to back w dding film weekends, and liked it better than the Sony. Although it doesn't have stabilization, the FX3 has good enough stabilization, and and the AF/MF switch is in a better spot than the Sony, and easier to switch with my lens hand.
$6,499
Its probably a 24 MP.
Price between $6499-6999. Can't see why they'd price lower than the A1 which was priced the same as 1DXIII and D6. I doubt they will chase the Z9's lower price.
R1 is not in the same class as a1.
@@aliendroneservices6621 True. A1 is superior. But Canon will still try to sell us on it and pretend it can compete with A1 and Z9.
$7000. That's what I think it's gonna cost.
I think it's gonna be more than $6k because they sold the R3 for $6500
Nice one. You excluded Fuji News, Jared 😂
I excluded it? You ever think that I filmed it before that news came out? Oh right. You didn’t. You think it’s shoot and post . Nope
5,600 for the R1
Hi Jared 👋
30mp not stacked…
The R3 which Canon says "isn't the flagship" has a stacked sensor. Why would the R1 not lol
I saw it, and i approve.
3:05 what movie was thatt??

@@aliendroneservices6621 bless
The R3 launched at $6000 and it was never the flagship, so I see the R1 coming in at $7000 or even $7500. They have to pay back all that development cost somehow, and the "I need an R1" crowd will fund it, then like the R3 the price will be dropped $1000 a few years later.
So the EYE CONTROL thing was bad in cameras? I was scared of it…Who would want the camera to focus where they look. Trying to take a picture of your wife and some hot lady walks by…OOPS…Well…that’s pictures ruined 😎🥳
Quite funny that most people don’t know that sigma is sony in all except visual ressemblance.
Imagine if this Accelerator joined the L Mount alliance…
R1.. 8900euros..🤢
R1 blah blah blah, ok whatever. Now get around to announcing the R5 MKII already! Canon moves slower than a glacier. My camera has issues and I don't want to drop thousands on the R5 while the MKII is supposedly 'right around the corner', but if they keep dragging on I may not make it. Hurry up already, sheesh! At this rate the R5 MKII won't be out until 2029!
$7500 US
Canon engineer before watching Jared's vid: "$4999 seems fair." After watching Jared's video: ...
Thanks Jared but a whole lot of nothing as usual from Canon! If the predictive tracking is like they say we will know if the ball goes in the net before the athlete releases it, how cool is that? We won’t need athletes soon, just have our cameras tell us who would have won the game 😂😂😂
lol Red still taking Ls
I am betting on $8,000.

NOpe, just because Jarod asked for $5999 they'll make it $6000. However depending on the sensor and other specs, $6000 may be appropriate, but anything ore than that might be pushing it as Nikon's Z9 Mark II (which probably will come out in another 18 months if not sooner) maybe a bit more than the current model, putting it around $6k which is about where most flagships end up (Nikon just undercut the industry with the Z9 at $5500 however considering how well it did sell, I think they may try to up the price a bit and even put more distance between it and the Z8 (which I don't think the Z8 Mark II will be more than $4k either, as that would put it just out of reach of the average person probably). But I could see the Z9 Mark II being $5500-$6000 and not being a huge deal.

boring release, Sony, Canon... uhh have hit a ceiling. These cameras need upgrades for the user, not lame hyped up tech.
Nice 1 Jared
Thank you Jared, viva Israel.
Boikot canon 🎉
Why has Canon lost its energy to lead the market ? It’s as if they’ve just ceded the ground to Sony and Nikon and yes even to Fuji .
Its such a shame that Sony is severely crippling third party lenses.
Sony is paying for every youtuber😅
Finally !! you have some recgantion to israel .
IF Canon seriously wanna compete ,
1) Solve battery issue on low-mid range line up
2) Solve overheating issue
3) Offer more video format options to compete with competitors , especially uncropped 4K-6K
4) Continuous improvement on tracking abilities to compete with competitors
5) Rather than keep everything small , I bet many photographers will like something size slightly mid size and better grip
“If Canon wants to seriously compete.”
Lol, Canon has 46% of the digital camera marketshare, followed by Sony (26%) and Nikon (12%).
@@EuropaChronicles This ain't about market share , it's what they can offer on the current camera specs , although Sony is pioneer on mirrorless camera , but Canon is like watching behind what competitors like Sony and Nikon what to offer.

Good thing you came here to comment. 🙄
I think we all get excited by the flagships as halo products. But how many actually buy the Sony a1 or Canon r1. We buy the r5ii, a7iv,the r6ii, etc.
My 1st camera was a Canon 30D back in 2006. I’ve wanted a 1-series camera for almost 2 decades. I think it’s time. I’m not a pro, but I’m very excited about the R1.
@@lucaschudleigh7193 Yes, because cameras today are ALL phenomenal compared to 20 years ago. I’m not a specs-chaser. The R5 is the best camera I’ve ever owned, it’s miles ahead of my old 5D4. If we extrapolate that out, the R1 is going to crush the 1DX2, which is an incredible camera.
