Notice me Senpai I mean, they might, but chances are any songs we introduce would be forgotten, like the majority of songs from any time period
Phil Lester you're a genius
Jamie Metcalfe you must be fun at parties
*imagine ?
This is legit one of the best covers on this channel. What a voice
Her stage presence is phenomenal!
What a voice, she told a story, she sang the damn thing!!! 😍😍😍
Wow, I've gone over half my life without knowing the actual lyrics to toxic, and just assuming a lot of it was sexy gibberish. Thank you!
chrisserrific the lyrics are so simple how can you not know the lyrics?💀
Dude I’m Spanish and I’ve always known what Britney was saying. y’all only listen to the beat and turn off the vocal part of the songs or what? 😂
So you never heard the song before? How do you assume lyrics lol
Love her voice. The girl can sing. What a ride. Simply Beautiful.
This video needs smoke and cigarettes and cigars and women in long gowns with feather boas and men and zoot suits. I need to have a 20s 30s or 40s feel and vibe. That matches the song and her voice the Slowdown sultry silky version
She sounds like Amy Winehouse + Etta James. Such a powerful voice.
Don’t insult her with amy winehouse comparison. Winehouse was NEVER this good.
Not even a little bit. She sounds absolutely nothing like either. You know its possible to compliment artists without comparing them right?
@@ILoveMyOrchids oh sweetie you poor thing. I have always had a soft spot for you tone deafs :(
@@ILoveMyOrchids I hope that's a joke because any serious agreement with your statement is bullshit
her voice makes me so flustered AGHHH SO SEDUCTIVEEE I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS VERSIONNNN
the tonality of her voice is soo beautiful I don't know how else to describe it
Yes, Melinda! You neeeeed to do some more songs with her.
I'd absolutely *love* to see a Haley Reinhart/Melinda Doolittle duet/face-off/whatever. Those two voices in one song would be legendary!
The arrangement is insanely good!
A voice like an after-sex cigarette... smooth, smoky, and makes you want some more.
Dragonivon Wow....beautiful simile
this is one of the best metaphoric describtions I heard in a long time. Nice!
okay
A voice like an after sex cigarette... reduces your ability to perform, you take it knowing it is likely going to be directly responsible for you never seeing your grandchildren, it's becoming increasingly expensive as the government tries to stop you using It, and makes your breath stink. And kills your partner through second hand inhalation.
Dragonivon you sound like you’ve had an interesting story
I've been wanting to hear a song from this genre for a long time; you folks just made my day. And Melinda Doolittle just nailed this song. Two thumbs up! :-)
I had to really turn up the volume so I could fully appreciate ALL the nuances of her voice!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FABULOUS!
she's just perfect omg
ms doolittle completely blew me away with her voice. as soon as she started singing i was captivated by the sound and song. so thankful i clicked on this video
First I saw the dress, then I heard the voice, then I saw the shoes.(WOW)
And then the voice covered everything, how wonderful it is! Thank you
Omg, the chorus! I raised my eyebrow and mouthed "Wooooooow!" I love how she owned this song! Whew! *fans self*
Nossa... Essa cantora está simplesmente INCRÍVEL!
Her voice is unbelievable. Love everything bout this
Chills everywhere! The more I hear this the more I love it 😍😍 How she just holds back, and holds back the BAM!!! This is my new favourite PMJ arrangement I think x
'then BAM'
I love Melinda I always wondered what she was up to. PMJ does love those Idol alum.
Rachel check out her website she's about to go on tour.
I didn’t think it was possible for any version of this song to sound better than the original, but you proved me wrong when you sang the very first few notes!
I love that cover! An awesome PMJ debut, one of my favorite PMJ cover!
When i was searching for EXACTLY like these kind of songs, where was youtube, seriously, i love this so much
i love how they're all just feeling the music
OMG! This is the best version I've ever heard and her voice is perfect! Just amazing!
How did I not hear this until today?! July 2023! It's fantastic 💛✨
speechless from this arrangement. gooebumps too. blown away by this artistry, the flair, the talent.
Melinda Doolittle covering a Britney Spears song and making it sound like GOLD! Much better than the original. Absolutely LOVE IT! Love the vocals and I love those horns back there! Awesome job.. Just discovered you guys recently and love every song you perform.
Not really. This version is sexy and the vocals are brilliant but its not particularly original. The actual song with all its quirky strings is standout
@@obsidian8180
If you like thudding drums, strange distortion and other Dance features. Were these features particularly original to Britney's version or were they common features of that time and genre? You could well argue that it shows quite a lot of originality on the part of both PMJ and Melinda to take a track like Britney's Toxic and completely transform it, both the backing and the vocals. The PMJ version of Radiohead's Creep sung by Haley Reinhart is probably the best-known and most popular of them all. She also sings Britney's Oops I Did It Again with them.
@@obsidian8180 : that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!
I just saw Charles Cornell's latest video. It's an analysis of Toxic, and somehow it led me to you guys. You've done so many great things, you're mindblowingly cool!
Same
Me too!
Same
me too
Saaaaame
Her voice is heavenly! She has such good control too, omg I could listen to her sing forever. And the musicians gave me chills.
PMJ is like the new home for American Idol alumni or something
With your avatar this sounds so _deliciously_ naughty. Rrrrrr
i know! and I love it!! nice to see alums doing something great!
It's groovy baby yeah.
There are a couple off the last couple of seasons of The Voice that would be phenomenal with PMJ. India Carney is one.
mslpfanatik India could and would own something on PMJ! Gospel cover of ANYTHING!
This is absolutely jamming and her voice is immaculate
Gawd her voice!! Out of this world!
She's beautiful and her voice is WOW
Omg I just met her today at my school! She performed for us at Midland Valley high and sung Home from the Wiz and this song and it was so magical. Felt like I was floating out of my seat! Thank you so much for performing for us Melinda!!! Youve inspired ❤💞💓💓
이노래가 이런 느낌일줄이야~
매혹적이네요~♥
Omg I remember her. She finished 3rd place on American Idol Season 6!!!
