The singer just looks so completely in her element.
Tess comes from heaven to amaze us! OMG please more of her... more and more and more...😇😇😇
THIS issa lewk! She looks amazing.
I agree completely, simply stunning performance
Well she is a singer and she sings, so i think you right, she is in her elemant XD im sorryfor my bad pun mate ;D
@@kokolatte825 Hello
I'm always amazed by how you're able to take almost any song and make it fit a completely different genre so naturally!
aw YOU are amazing!
@@postmodernjukebox You're breathtaking!
The sign of a good song is that it works in different versions.
@@OnzeManInKazakhstan the sign of a good Arranger is they are able to rework a song.
@@postmodernjukebox I guess its all about the time signature? you can change the groove if you dont mess with the fundamental rhythm?
Perfect. Just perfect. And the lady is not only a very good singer, she's absolutely gorgeous. She made this song her own.
Stop talking about my girlfriend like that
Can we take a moment to appreciate the joy in the guitar player's face
He is feeling the music sis
You forgot to mention that he is also hot. As in smokin’.
He looks like young Severus Snape lol ;)
If you had his view you'd be smiling too
I've watched this video several times now and I still don't see any guitar player. All I see is this lady singing.
I literally fell in love with the singer. Like I'd let that woman ruin my life. Such a great singer.
Jack Black quote from "Enemy of the State" "would I love to have her ruin my life"...
"You like apples? I got her number, how do you like THEM apples?"
Over my dead body. She'll ruin mine first!
😂😂😂😂
@@Aramis7 Sign flashes "Now ruining Number 147." :)
Need more of this - of her with this style of singing, of the band, everything.
Please just make an entire album with this constellation!
Man, this needs to be adapted into the opening theme of some awesomely artsy film noir or 40s-inspired crime-and-intrigue show.
I can totally see a 1970s back-lit dancing silhouettes James Bond intro
Holy shite get out of my head! Ha! I literally just stumbled on this vid looking for a slow cover and said the exact same thing. Great minds. I completely agree.
Welcome to the world of tomorrow!
Agreed. Film noir desperately needs to make a comeback, with this channel contributing to the scoundtracks!
Watching this makes me appreciate just how much of Deborah Harry's onstage persona was itself a kind of homage to or riff on Marilyn Monroe's. It's as if the song has returned to its primeval origins.
You make a great point,I never thought of if til you made me aware of it
The next thing would be to have Debbie Harry sit in on a session and do a rework of some other Blondie song (I could see her going for that).
I always thought that Blondie was the modern Marilyn Monroe, with added attitude.
I wonder how many non-westerner audience out there love PMJ music! I fell in love instantly when I heard Young and Beautiful few years ago... Big ❤️❤️❤️❤️ from a Hong Kong fan!!!
PMJ's arrangements/vocals are incredible, but I also love the costumes and the little extra touches and "Easter eggs" in the background, like the band sliding on in and the flute player holding the phone up to the trumpeter.
Scott is the man
I absolutely adore how this channel can keep older styles of music feeling incredibly fresh through covers, a real testament to all your hard work, fantastic job!
Blondie was a personal favourite in the 70s & 80s. Add the PMJ touch, and what do you get: Something really special. Well done Scott Bradlee et al. Superb. Can't wait to see you live again.
Okay, this was the perfect style to do the song in, and she has the perfect voice for it. This might be my new favorite cover of yours. Definitely Top 3. Major kudos.

@@PabloEmanuel96 not that guy but 'boulevard of broken dreams' and "stacy's mom" are my personal go-to bangers
If there is a retro bar where i can listen to songs like these while drinking i'll be there every night! Especially when the songs are great for dancing to like jive! WOW, her voice is awesome!
Whoever arranged this is brilliant, and her voice is perfect for this song!
Elegante' !
I never envisioned this song as this kind of genre but this is an incredible cover as usual 👌
always an amazing surprise, right??
@@postmodernjukebox , truly! Most of the songs you guys re-do are awesome to begin with. What's truly suprising is that you re-did some crappy songs and made them unbelievable! cough*Toxic/Oops, I did it again*cough-cough... That is why we love you, guys and gals!

One of my favorite Blondie tunes, and this cover is just fabulous.
Ms. Mohr REALLY vamps it up, what a talent!
Thanks Glenn ❤️
Im going to get ya my fav blondie tune
Amazing, so beautiful and so incredible. Loved the original song, heard it before we made it to US while immigrating, but this rendition and arrangement is so beautiful. So brilliant, so talented and brings new sound with the older style to this incredible song. Thank you for sharing your talent Postmodern Jukebox. Always wonderful and always deliver impressive tunes.
All of these songs are a masterpiece. From the creativity to the arrangements to all of the details, right down to the outfits and decorum. PMJ truly has fun with this as to their performers. Each deserves a standing ovation
This is the first time I've ever heard of someone taking an old song and making it even older to give it new life.
Every song you do blows my mind!! I’m absolutely fascinated with how music can translate from one style to another and still make sense and sound great!! The fact that the guys and girls performing are some of best musical talent around is obviously a massive part of it! The world is just a slightly better place thanks to you all! Keep up the fantastic work!!
This is absolutely phenomenal 😍can we have more Marilyn Monroe style covers? 😄

Dude you're on every video.
What a consummate performer, the look, the voice, the gaze, the movements, she brings quality in so many ways, may she have a long and rewarding career!
The talent in these videos is beyond belief!
this is what youtube was meant for... Real talent, real musicians, artitsts sharing their craft.
I'm all for asking this comment I'm replying on to be pinned as I couldn't agree more with them!
actually it was designed to share trips to the zoo
@@Luckily_Channel Very smart comment lol. I remember that
I want to take a dump and shove it back in every time she opens her mouth.
it was meant for people to express whatever they wanted, talent or not
Tess Mohr inspires me I love the rhythm of her vocals
What an absolute fanastic talent this woman is!.....makes most of what is happening out in music land just look sad ....more please .
Absolutely beautiful, i had a blast listening to this. Thank you guys very much:)
So much fun, the musicians are outstanding, the songstress steps back to an era of class as easily as slipping on a pair of slippers. .✨
Love how the horn players sneak in like the just had a joint break
"Oh SHIT! The set's started!"
Probably did
Fun Faxt: Marilyn and the studio band had been jamming while on break. The camera crew was able to record the last song, Call Me. Originally it was to be included in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes but Fox Studios ruled against it as it was outside the show girl theme, and would require extra scenes to made and shot to connect it with over all movie theme, and would have to be reshot due to the brass section coming in later. They had returned from break and joined in, not realizing the camera was running. However it was edited and colorized with Technicolor by the camera and director, and help solidify Marilyn's star status.
She's so captivating that you don't even notice the minor costume malfunction or her graceful recovery of it.
I finally did see it after the billionth time watching and listening to it
You made me watch the whole video again, and I found it!
Where is it?
Always good to see a group of talented people that is clearly born to do this! 🤗
I love the use of the props!❤❤PMJ creates the most amazing little vignettes. They’re always telling a story.
I used to supervise a nurse who's voice could make a grown ass man break jail lol this girl brings back memories thank you
I think Debbie Harry would really appreciate this interpretation of her 1980 hit single. Debbie and Chris (Stein) were always exploring new genres and sounds into their work with Blondie (old and new) and would definitely see this as a successful step in that direction ... Nicely done ...
Another phenomenal cover! I can't get over how beautiful the instruments sound with Tess's voice!
Like or hate the singers all you want, but the musicians are spot on and awesome every time with PMJ- they are the real stars.
Superlative performance! Tess Mohr and the musicians sent this one of the proverbial park. (I liked how one of the musicians was holding a telephone receiver to the trumpet during the trumpet solo.) I've read and heard a lot about Marilyn Monroe and I think she would have been delighted and thrilled at this performance.
I'm so glad I found this channel this last year... It came just in time for the Roaring 20's.
I wish I have a voice like hers... she is very talented and beautiful ! The musicians are Amazing as Always 🥺 Also this is one of my favourite song, I'm so happy 😭
So happy you enjoyed it....Tess is so talented!
@@postmodernjukebox yes! She is Amazing!
@@Zoe-dn2me her voice is silk for our ears!
No, she's skilled. She probably worked very hard for that voice on top of what she was given naturally.
@@tetsi0815 yeah of course, nobody can have that voice without training, she is amazing!
Where are these singers coming from? The talent is extraordinary....and points to just how watered down and homogenized a lot of "popular" music has become....PMJ, keep it up I like it!

It's amazing the talent available in New York City.

thank you Becca! have you seen this one?? ruclips.net/video/hXNrSjF2l98/видео.html
Okay but Tess looks absolutely DIVINE in this Ensemble and Hair! They're gonna need two best dressed awards for this and Haley's Seven Nation Army Dress!
It really goes to show the arrangement/production of a song matters this is amazing. Thank you all for sharing.
OMG. This was already one of my all-time favorite tunes. This is the BEST cover I've ever heard. So uniquely different too.
sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fabulous!
I can't take my eyes out of singer, her charm making this version perfect
This is an incredible performance. Wow wow wow! I would love to see a whole concert at my favourite jazz club in Prague.
Wow, she is nailing those high notes.
She sings right through me. In my brain. Amazing. Also amazing recording job on all this stuff. The tasteful use of room mics is fantastic. Every arrangement far surpasses my snob test.
Damn. Not only is she a fine singer but, she's totally channeling Marilyn Monroe!! Who, btw, is my all time favorite Blonde Bombshell!!❤❤❤😘😘😘
Another wonderful cover!!! I wanna hear Tainted Love
Yessss that would be amazing!
uh that would be awesome
Not PMJ, but check out Imelda May's Rockabilly cover of that song :).

Please please please do this!!
The original northern soul version by Gloria Jones is amazing too 😍
I didn’t think this song could get any better; phenomenal voice 💯💯💯
Can’t help myself. Is this what I’m going to hear in heaven?
WOW ❣️
Talented and absolutely GORGEOUS! 😍🥰
I always like when instrumentalists enters the session out of nowhere. Class.
Blondie is one of the most underrated bands ever
I quite agree. One of those bands where it's impossible to pick your favourite song.
And one of those bands people forget is actually a band. You say Blondie, people assume you just mean Debbie Harry.
I don't think Blondie is underrated. They rocked charts around the world, they were very famous and influential.
....they’re in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Love the group. And some of their songs could easily fit into todays music. My Mum is a huge fan and so am I. In Australia they were popular. They have left a cultural impact here.
This rendition is out of this world. I never cared that much for Blondie. But I guess if you take a song and change the tempo and style. it can become a song that really stands out. Thank you for this.
Just saw PMJ for the first ( but NOT last! ) time in Perth, Western Australia. Just fantastic!! Well worth the 450km drive to be there😃
Absolutely brilliant!!! Excellent, exceptional and extraordinary!! Love ❤️ it!!!! ❤❤❤🎉
Once again the drummer is more of a myth than a reality.
Funny just thinking the same, must be under witness protection again
Agree. The thing that comes with a static camera. They need to think more about how to stage the whole thing before shooting. Otherwise a very good show.
I like to imagine that it’s animal from the muppets.
Scott himself is as always also very effacing, he quietly creates and spins these musical gems
Zoe Blackmore Now that’s true. He deserves credit for that.
I didn’t know what to expect but Tess looked beautiful so I tried it. Best decision I made this week, she’s incredible!
Oh, my god, this is literally one of the greatest songs and one of the greatest covers I've ever heard
ahhhhh you're amazing, thank you!
I've watched every single PMJ video and Tess is by far my favorite, I need more videos of her ASAP!!
absolutely awesome and snazzy ... gotta find my cigar !
It's nice to see Kylo Ren chilled out
🤣
When she hits that note, I lose all sense of reality, and I don't know where I am. Phenomal!
she has such a special voice
no it is only twang
It's 82% HFCS, that's why it's soooo sweet. Also, you now have auditory diabeetus.
Scott, you are a gifted musician and arranger. However I think your greatest skill is finding and recruiting the most talented people on the planet. This video was amazing!
So when I am depressed and stressed, I come here and suddenly all my worries are evaporated in a fraction of a second... Thank you for all of this.

This is my favorite Blondie song, so I was very interested in hearing this one. What fun it is and so different. Great job Tess.
This is the first time I have really taken the time to listen to their music. I am a huge fan now. Not only is talent but it is true class.
This is absolutely awesome how you remake these songs.
Anyone else notice the one guy picking up the phone during that spectacular trumpet solo?
OMG hahaha
Probably not. All eyes were on front. 😂
Not till the second time I watched it.
She knows what sexy means and can sing about it. Blondie was good and then there was Tess Mohr!
Fantastic!
She’s so stunning! They all are
Damm I just fell in love with Tess! Another PMJ home run.
Absolutely brilliant arrangement
Visually speaking, sheer perfection is attained at 2:59.
I feel like I should be wearing a tuxedo and drinking a Manhattan while watching this.
Pure class
What a voice ❤
Holy Smoke! Youse guys are always taking it up a few notches, just so smooth & sweet. Thank you PMJ!
I love Call Me so I’m sure this will be brilliant
I discoverd this style of music by you !! And i don't regret
i was so taken aback when the music started because I thought the titles said "Marilyn Manson"
That would have been great. 😂
