@@DaintyDiaries Hi Catherine! Fellow 30's here 👋 Does this UFO 3 seem to help with any forehead lines? 👀 Starting to struggle with them a bit but don't want to do Botox 😅 PS I LOVE your channel, look forward to your videos each week ❤️
Hey, it helps with lines overall, I’m the same, I get a frown line when I have been on laptop or deep In concentration and it is starting to stick! I find it my skin is dry or dehydrated the lines appear more, so I use the productions designed to hydrate to help plump the skin, especially this time of year. I don’t want to get Botox either, it looks so unnatural in person on people.
I am so relieved to hear that you don't like painting walls. I hate painting. Even if the room is empty, I find it a chore. My sister recently came for a 4 day visit, and we painted my new guest room. My youngest moved out, and it was his room. Room is painted and today I'm going to clean the carpet. Tomorrow I'm putting the new bed together, then making up the bed with the new duvet cover, curtains go up and then decorating the room.
I totally understand-painting can definitely feel like a chore, even with an empty room! But it sounds like you’ve been making great progress on your guest room. How exciting to transform the space! I bet it’s going to look amazing with the new bed, duvet cover, and curtains. Enjoy the decorating process-sounds like it’s going to be a lovely, fresh room! 😊
It’s looking good! I appreciate that you tell us that there are parts you find tedious or less rewarding. For me, it’s the mess of paint prep even more than painting itself that makes me procrastinate.
I am 60 years old and had always used pre-pasted wallpaper and I found it to be very frustrating and fragile after dipping it in water. I have been watching you for several years and saw you doing the pasting of the wall and then doing the wallpaper. I had a bathroom to redo recently. I purchased unpasted wallpaper and did it like you and pasted the wall first. It made the job so much easier and stress free. Thank you!!
Oh that sounds so much easier to me! I may even want to do a wallpaper project myself now! I have an office I am wanting to update, and that may be what I do in it.
When removing the legs on the wardrobe replace them with stick on felt pads. Then you won't scratch your floors and you can also move the wardrobe if need be.😊
@@donaleeslack4925 I was just about to comment the same! I was thinking a sheet of felt glued to the underneath, if there is such a thing? It will definitely make the wardrobe easier to move and protect the floor. 😊

I love how the wallpaper looks! Fantastic Catherine! We used to do all our own painting but gave that up. We’re 78 and 71 now and have had some health issues.

I hope I can finish before Christmas because there is stacks of equipment paint and tile everywhere. Oh, did I mention I have 6 puppies I am trying to raise to sell before Christmas?
Just an idea. Add felt or sliders to the bottom of the wardrobe so it doesn’t scratch the floor. And maybe sponge paint the wardrobe? It’s a nice finish without having to strip wood. Cheers! And thank you for the inspiration.

Oh, the mantle green swag looks beautiful.....The little mushrooms and deer are perfect. Yes, I certainly understand the difficult decision to put up a tree. We have a beautiful huge 'Tuxedo' cat ...black with white who weighs 24 pounds and a little calico cat who is about 6 pounds. We used to put up a large tree, but now have resorted to a table top tree on a dresser and if necessary use invisible wires to stabilize it....and it works although Mr. Checkers our lovely Male Tuxedo likes to bat at the decorations. Last year was too much a temptation as I decorated the branches with pretty red cardinal birds and every morning we'd find lots of them on the floor. Yes, Christmas time for many is a lonely and sad time....the best we can do is be sensitive to others and kind to ourselves. A quote from an old song entitled The Real Meaning of Christmas...."It's not the things you do at Christmas time...but the things you do all year through."

Love your panelling!. Am trying to put up coving in box room. Lots of patience needed! 🤯 I recently painted my bedroom farrow and ball darkest green. Also changed from years of white. Then followed by years of grey. Introducing colour to my house Your house looks so cosy. Time for lighting the 🔥 Slán Catherine
Loving the new stripe wallpaper Catherine. How about wallpapering the inside of that closet with the leftover paper? (if you can't return it that is ) also if you have left over pieces large enough to fit in that wood desk (inside drawers) would be a fun project to protect & beautify at the same time. ❤❤💕💕
I'm currently redecorating as my son has moved out & I'm free to do as i please 😊 I'm 52 and struggling to decorate thanks to Fibromyalgia and COPD but im taking it slow & steady. I get great inspiration from your videos
In my experience, I really wasn't too overwhelmed by the coverage of farrow & ball FOR THAT PRICE! I think they have beautiful colours, but the coverage is the same with middle price range colours, so color matching like you did seems like the best option!
The room is looking great! For the radiator, I wanted one of those grey fancy ones, but didn't want the cost or the hassle of installing a new one, so I just bought a can of Anthracite radiator paint on Amazon and sprayed it to look like the fancy radiators. And it looks great! I masked off the room for it, but it was worth it. I have a video on my vlog channel if you wanted to see what it looked like.
Gorgeous!!! I love the fresh green!!! Also fun fact a lot of wardrobe makers used cheaper light weight wood in back to cut cost and weight. You might be suprised at the wood the rest of it is made out of. It would be a messy task so Im with you on not wanting to get into that and just paint it a beautiful green to match your wall paper. Anything you decide will turn out lovely!. 🎀
Hi Catherine, love the antique cream. I think a lovely deep green would look lovely for the wardrobe maybe some distressing and some antique gold detailing? Would pick up the green in the wallpaper. 😊xx
I love your channel. Your accent reminds me of my mum, she was from the south of Ireland and whilst living in N.I. most of her life, she never lost the southern accent - love it. I miss her so much. I’m 63 and doing a bit of up cycling - I have a big, very plain, dark brown framed mirror. I decided to up cycle it. It’s looking great. Bought an antique wardrobe and matching dressing table from a charity shop, I’m delighted with them, want to up cycle them too. You’re doing a great job with your room. ❤
I so wish you could help me decorate! I love your style but find decorating myself so difficult as Iv rheumatoid arthritis , I do what I can and gain so much inspiration from your videos xx thank you xx

I was thinking last few videos ago, how beautiful your skin was looking. And your hair..... Great job on the wallpapering...can't wait to see finished room. Now I feel like a cup of tea 🫖💕
Just watched the last video. In my similar bedroom, I too painted the sloped walls and ceiling all the same colour. I chose Benjamin Moore's Zinfandel, which is the slightest whisper of pink in an off white, and it looks great. It magically reads both warm and cool without being too much or too little. Laughing at the paint spray, because I can relate. Lovely skin, despite the abuse. My experience with paint is that good quality is worth paying for. It goes on nicer, covers in fewer coats, and scrubs better. Saves time and labour in the long run, especially if you prime first. I like matte on the ceiling, eggshell on the walls, and, yes, high gloss on the trim and woodwork. I use the top quality satin or pearl wall paint for kitchen and bath so it's extra scrubbable. Could you make your radiators fancy with gold paint? Or some sort of cover? Love the ASMR sounds of working in this and your last videos. Can't wait to see more 💜
What a fantastic start to your bedroom❤ I imagine it will be a warm and cozy place for you to relax. ❤ love what’s been done so far and I’m looking forward to the finished product. Way to go Catherine . Another wonderful project .❤
It's looking very nice Catherine, the wall color is perfect for everything. The extra trim will be elegant it really elevate the style. You didn't mentioned what color you are planning for inside the squares, I'm looking forward to see what you have decided. A future tip to paint ceilings, a plastic shower hat and no paint in your hair, it's not cute but it works great. Wishing you a good week and see you next time.
I am also 5 foot tall and dispise painting ceilings. Even with the extended roller and ladder it is literally a pain in the neck. I love the wallpaper combo and the new panels! I just finished the last of my "I don't enjoy this diy" projects this weekend and let me tell ya it feels great. Can't wait for your next installment of diy diary!
Catherine I love your ideas and energy. I'm 70 but after watching you I try to go and do what I want done around my home and garden. I hate painting, I have to hand it to you. I have found that matte finishes do not clean as well, but I'm sure that in a bedroom that is not such a concern. Keep inspiring us all. Happy Holiday Season
You are so darn cute ! Paint all over you 😂 ! Your projects always durn out great ! Just keep cracking on ! Love what you have done and the vision you have for your new glamorous bedroom ! The closet will look great a dark green like the strips in your wallpapers !
Its looks fantastic Catherine...I adore the Victorian radiators too but my budget just couldn't stretch so Im looking at colour drenching the radiator the same as the wall so it blends in... perhaps you could try that. I think your wardrobe would look lovely painted the same as your bed to match. I cant wait to see the next installment. The range have some nice lighting 😊
You’ve done well. Looks nice. I haven’t anything to paint right now, sorry I actually enjoy it. It must be all that freedom with the roller ( and scale ) once you have already “ cut in “. My lovely husband feeds us whenever I do a painting marathon. I suspect he would not like to paint it. I once did a room 5 walls ( entrance corner cut off ) and ceiling, 3 coats on all. Took 3 solid days. My child was thrilled, also 2 colours plus white. 👍🏻🇨🇦
Catherine, have you ever done a video about your RUclips journey? When you started, why, what you’ve learned, how you got over or managed anxiety of being public, etc? Reason being, I’ve thought about starting a channel for years and when I do, I think, I’d like a vibe like Dainty Diaries but also know, the best thing is to be yourself and not like someone else. I’m just curious! It’s a brave thing to do 🌻 I’ve been watching videos about finding your niche and thought, do you have interests that you don’t share because you are staying “on brand?”
Hey, I touched a little on this in a recent Member Q&A ruclips.net/video/gslRhC-WN_8/видео.html I don't have a video specifically on this, but I have chatted a little in this about anxiety with public speaking ruclips.net/video/Rb-m2L__wus/видео.html
I love the wallpaper, it looks good. Remove the legs, put felt underneath it for sliding easily, and paint that cupboard the same colour as the stripes. A gorgeous green. I never worry about doing things at a fast pace, but then again, I don't have a RUclips channel 😉
You are dangerous to watch 😂 I now want paneling in our dining room. Shhhh... I haven't said anything to my husband yet. I think it would be a great winter project. I am so excited thinking about the possibilities. You are definitely an inspiration. And your skin looks amazing. Much ❤️ from Kansas, USA
Catherine, you are as messy a painter as I am. My neighbor laughed when he saw my clothes and wondered if I had gotten any paint on the walls. It is beginning to look really good. Waiting patiently for the follow-up video.😊
Looks lovely, makes me want to decorate my bedroom too. Just a wee thought. When you take the legs off the wardrobe stick some felt underneath so that you can slide it into place without scratching your floor. Xx
Hi Catherine realy enjoyed everything about this video you are very smart and a hard worker give the 2 pretty cats a hug for me . Have a great week see you in your next video ❤❤❤
Hi Catherine, just a thought about the victorian radiators, because I'm thinking exactly the same for my room in the new year. I'm so victorian mad 😂 I just love the period from movies to books to style. Anyway I was thinking about a radiator cover that maybe you could make yourself, you can turn your hand to anything. Great job, good luck ❤

A green similar to the wallpaper would make the wardrobe a real statement piece xx
Girl, you are gorgeous!! Love the skin care tips!!
Thank you so much, your so kind x
It's looking very nice Catherine, the wall color is perfect for everything. The extra trim will be elegant it really elevate the style. You didn't mentioned what color you are planning for inside the squares, I'm looking forward to see what you have decided. A future tip to paint ceilings, a plastic shower hat and no paint in your hair, it's not cute but it works great. Wishing you a good week and see you next time.
You did an amazing job, Dainty. I enjoyed your video.
Glad you enjoyed it! x Happy New year x
I also color drench...much easier to paint plus it makes the room look extra cozy! Your room looks very nice!
Absolutely 😍 very cosy!
You are doing a great job Catherine. Love the paint color and wallpaper too.
Excited to see it all finished. ❤❤❤
Thanks so much ❤️ thanks for stopping by ❤️
Its looks fantastic Catherine...I adore the Victorian radiators too but my budget just couldn't stretch so Im looking at colour drenching the radiator the same as the wall so it blends in... perhaps you could try that.
I think your wardrobe would look lovely painted the same as your bed to match. I cant wait to see the next installment. The range have some nice lighting 😊
I am watching/listening to this lovely video as I am working on my kitchen (painting, wallpaper, decorating, oh my!) love you and all your projects!
Best of luck with your project. x
Lovely wallpaper and wall colour! ❤❤❤
👍🏻🇨🇦
I wished I was as talented as you.
Just looks beautiful whatever you do.x
Thank you! 😊
Love the detailing on the panelling, it definitely elevates it ❤ look forward to seeing your wardrode update too xx
Thanks so much! 😊
Yes, get a dainty light fixture!!
Great job done Catherine. Love the the wallpaper. Looking forward to part 3 of the project. 😊
I love the wallpaper, it looks good. Remove the legs, put felt underneath it for sliding easily, and paint that cupboard the same colour as the stripes. A gorgeous green. I never worry about doing things at a fast pace, but then again, I don't have a RUclips channel 😉
Ok Lady Catherine. Looking good. Enjoy your tea. See you next time.❤
Thank you! 🤗
I am painting my bedroom with “satin slipper” farrow and ball. It’s a warm cream color too.
Catherine, you are as messy a painter as I am. My neighbor laughed when he saw my clothes and wondered if I had gotten any paint on the walls. It is beginning to look really good. Waiting patiently for the follow-up video.😊
Catherine I love, love, love, the stripe wallpaper in your space. Such a nice refresh! Greetings for your week from the Rockies! 🌻
Nice work Catherine. God bless your energy and enthusiasm. 👍
I enjoy all of your videos! I especially wanted to say how beautiful your skin is.Your hair is lovely too. Thankyou again for a great video.🦘
Thank you so much!x
Loving the progress on your room. You inspire me to tackle a redo of my own room. Fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing.
Your videos are always enjoyable to watch.
19:40 10000000%!!! This justification is THE BEST. ❤
