Very tiny powder room. I like that you're using up left over materials and it's a budget do over. It's looking really cute! Yes, splurge on the floor, it's a small area and I think it will be worth the investment.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like the idea of using up leftover materials-it’s so satisfying to make something lovely on a budget. I completely agree about the floor-it’s such a small space, so a little splurge will go a long way. 😊
Catherine you really are amazingly talented and so kind. I know you’re getting the videos out of it but that’s still a lot of work and very kind of you to not only do that but using your left over pieces as well. Everything you do just turns out beautiful, even being unwell you still make it look so easy & just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your journey & videos with us and I hope this New Year brings you nothing but joy & prosperity 🥰
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words-they really mean the world to me. 🥰 It’s such a joy to share these projects with all of you, and knowing they’re appreciated makes all the effort worthwhile. I’m so touched by your kindness and well wishes. Here’s to a New Year full of joy and prosperity for you too! 🌟💖
Dear friend, you should just try tiling on a scrap of wood to build confidence. When you see how easy it is you can plan your tile and pattern. In the U.S. we can rent an electric tile saw by the day, you will be so good at it. Lay out your pattern and put your mastic on your surface wall or floor). Place your tile adjust it how you want it (place spacers), clean out your grout lines and surface of tiles then let dry (set). Come back after tiles are set, grout the tiles then clean the surface of the tiles (in my opinion this takes the most time). Tiling is not difficult, personally I tend to make a mess (but that is not the tiles fault it is mine). I would recomment covering your cabinet top with plastic to save time and effort in cleaning. May you have the best year in 2025, Happy New Year from southern CA, USA.
Catherine is AMAZING!! She’s so funny and kind and isn’t afraid to get stuck in and try something new!! She’s done so many amazing projects. I’ve followed her for about 6 years and she’s one of my favorites! Cheeky thumbs up!!😂❤️
Have you heard of miter trim cutters...I bought one and it has made life easier for cutting trim. No more miter box and trying to find a saw. I love all your videos. You are an inspiration
Lovely seeing you again the bathroom is looking so pretty when your done it's going to be magazine worthy. Please give your 2 pretty cats a hug for me thank you have a wonderful week see you Sunday ❤❤❤
Ah, thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the progress-it’s been such a fun project. I’ll definitely give my two fluffy troublemakers a big hug from you! Have a wonderful week too, and I’ll see you Sunday! ❤❤❤
Catherine you are a trooper, doing this job when you’re not well, and I must say it looks absolutely amazing, l keep looking at that panelling for my living room, and there’s no excuse for rudeness, hope you’re feeling better, tfs x Julie
Thank you so much, Julie! Your kind words really lift my spirits. The panelling would look amazing in a living room-go for it, you won’t regret it! I’m feeling much better now, thank you. Sending hugs and thanks for watching! xx 😊
I had the waste pipe of my corner sink, in the downstairs loo , changed from white plastic to chrome and it really elevated the look. Fantastic job in such a tiny space
I saw one woman use "Rub n Buff" paint product to make her PVC pipes look like aged copper which matched her decor. Fyi, did you notice the dripping tap?
I want to tell you how much I appreciate your creative ideas. It’s been so fun to watch your videos and it’s been amazing to see how you have always improved upon where you started from. Thank you for consistently putting out great videos and content.
Thank you so much for your kind words and support-it truly means the world to me. It’s been such a rewarding journey, and hearing that you’ve enjoyed following along makes it even more special. Wishing you a lovely weekend and lots of inspiration for your own creativity! 😊🌿
Sending love from Chicago!!! You are so talented and such an inspiration!! I absolutely love your videos! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, I truly have learned so much from you!! 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Happy New Year! What a big difference! Love what you did. Can't wait to see it finished I have also a tiny toiletroom, there isn't even room for a mini sink. You made me laugh with the full moon waving. Just keep smiling that makes everything way better.
I'm so happy to see your video ❤. I was really having such a painful day and then your video was a little ray of sunshine 🌞 I am so grateful for you Catherine 💕🙏🏻
What a cute little space! It’s looking good already-and you aren’t yet done! Totally support you taking a break to avoid the holiday chaos and get feeling better. Renos attempted while sick can go horribly wrong….
Thank you so much! I’m really happy with how it’s coming together so far. And yes, you’re absolutely right-rest is so important, especially during renos. No one wants a DIY disaster on top of being sick! Thanks for the support and for watching. 😊
What a super transformation, Catherine - it looks great! The full moon can certainly explain a lot of things! Happy New Year from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧💕😊
Ooh wow Catherine as usual an amazing transformation can’t wait to see what the floor will be like. Happy new year and may it bring everything you wish for and more . God bless and take care 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💞🙋🏻♀️ Patricia xx.
Thank you so much, Patricia! I'm excited to get the floor sorted too, it's definitely the next step in the transformation. Wishing you a wonderful New Year as well, filled with everything you wish for and more! Take care and God bless! 💞🙋🏻♀️
Looking fresh! Love it. Our under-stairs loo is so beige…floor and wall tiles. I feel the same about a full moon and people’s attitude, I’m laying low until next week when the madness subsides 😂
Thanks so much! I hear you on the beige loo-sometimes a bit of colour or pattern can really change the vibe! And yes, the full moon and the madness it stirs up, right? Laying low sounds like a good plan until things calm down a bit! That December fun moon was crazy, even the cats were misbehaving and chewing the Christmas lights x 😂
Looking really good. The last time that I wallpapered was 34 years ago and I was 8 months pregnant. We did our really small half bath but luckily it wasn’t under the stairs. However, both my husband and I were in there working on it so it wasn’t under really cramped. Don’t be afraid of tiling the backsplash, with your DIY skills it shouldn’t be too hard for you. We have done two different kitchen backsplashes over the years and they both turned out nicely.
Thank you so much! Wow, wallpapering at 8 months pregnant-you’re amazing! I can imagine that was quite the project, but it must have felt so rewarding once it was done. Thank you for the encouragement about tiling. It’s always inspiring to hear about others’ DIY successes. 😊
Thank you so much! That’s such a lovely thing to say-it means a lot. I just try to take things one step at a time, and it’s always worth it in the end. Wishing you a fabulous weekend! 🥰❤️
Happy 2025 to you too! 🎉 Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad my content resonates with you! Wishing you a wonderful year ahead, filled with creativity and joy. 💛
Your are 100% right about the Full moon, I am ok but my husband is moody and withdrawn but thats ok because I just stay out of his way and shop till I drop 🤣. You are making a fantastic job of that wee toilet, looking forward to see it finished ❤xx
Haha, I totally get that - shopping is always a good way to stay busy! 😄 Thank you so much for the kind words about the toilet transformation! Can't wait to share the finished look with you. ❤xx
Happy New Year,! Hope you're feeling much better. The panelling & wallpaper have made such a difference to this adorable little room. I can't wait to see the detailing on your next video. I had lvt plank flloring fitted straight on top of ceramic floor tiles. The planks had the cushioned underlay attached & the joiner clicked them together. No adhesive used. It made such a difference. Take good care ❤xx
Happy New Year! I’m feeling much better, thank you! 😊 I’m so glad you like the panelling and wallpaper-it really has transformed the space. That’s great to know about the LVT planks, sounds like a clever solution! I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks for sharing!
wonderful the story from Liffey Valley.........good Morning dear Chathrine.....first of all........HAPPY NEW YEAR......I hope, you feel better now........and what a great project...............Blessings and Greetings from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘
Good morning, Daggy, and a very Happy New Year to you too! Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m feeling a bit better now, thankfully. Sending blessings and warm greetings back to you ☘️✨
Thank you so much for watching! A half bath under the stairs sounds so charming-I’m sure it’ll turn out beautifully. Best of luck with your makeover, and I’m glad this video came at the right time for you! 😊
True I so agree on the full moon retrograde thing it's so frustrating why is it that people always keep asking for a date on those occasions. I would never go on a date or to the pub on a day like that, my ex always wanted to go out on those days and it always ended in disaster usually pub fights.
Catherine....Nanny is so blessed that you are able to take on her remodel. I love the powder room. It does look posh. Can't wait for the tile video as I need to do some tiling around a sink in my craft room. Your videos are the confidence and inspiration I need to tackle it. May blessings for 2025. PS....I'm not a fan of peel and stick either.😮
Love the wall paper and paneling in the bathroom. Looks sophisticated and chic. Did you notice the small faucet drip? May need new gasket. Looking beautiful today. Sorry you are stuffed up. Beware of baby germs. They spread like wildfire. Happy New Year.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad you like the wallpaper and panelling-it’s been such a fun project. Good eye on the faucet drip! I’ll have a look; it might just need a quick fix. And yes, those baby germs are no joke-trying to dodge them as best I can! Happy New Year to you too! 😊🎉
I’m so glad this video brightened your day! Thank you for the lovely compliment-I’m really happy you like the wallpaper and find my voice calming. Part 2 is ready for next week. Take care as well! 😊
I'd take that slab board and stain it a nice warm and see if it would fit on the back of the toilet tank for a shelf. Add some warmth. Also for the sink, add pretty material with sticky velcro around the edge of the front of the basin. ❤
capping off the top of the mdf really makes the molding look posh. thank you for the videos~ Im getting closer /more brave to do this to my own walls.... wishing you a Happy 2025!
You’re so right! The capping really does give it that polished, high-end look. I’m so glad the videos are helping you feel more confident to tackle your own walls-keep going, you’ve got this! Wishing you a wonderful 2025! 😊🎉
I had a friend with a peculiar strategy to reduce road rage. Whenever someone beeped at her she blew them kisses with a beaming smile. They were so shocked they didn't know how to react and just looked away. It was fun to witness too.
Your friend is so lucky 💓 You're spilling the secrets of peel-n-stick tiles 😮 This video is great at showing how different the same wallpaper looks in 2 different spaces as well! I'm afraid the multi-directional lines whilst weeing isn't going to help the mens' aiming, but it is simply stunning!! 😅😂😅😂
Bless Catherine. You powered through your congestion! I am glad that you held fast on the different tiles, they will surely last much longer. You did make me chuckle a lot describing the Christmas road rage and yes i have been that person waved when someone beeped at me 😂 I am glad I am not alone doing that 😂 The cloakroom is going to look fab, I know it! Hugs, Suze. 🚽🤗 xxx
Thank you, Suze! Haha, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who’s done the cheeky wave-sometimes it’s the only way to handle the madness! 😂 I’m really happy you’re enjoying the progress, and I agree, the tiles will definitely be worth it in the long run. Sending big hugs back to you! xxx 😊🚽✨
You are so inspiring me to do my little toilet room. The walls are dodgy and need redoing. I've not wallpapered before but you've inspired me. Thanks Catherine. Love from Australia
Thank you so much! I’m thrilled to hear you feel inspired-wallpapering can really transform a space, and it’s such a rewarding project once it’s done. Best of luck with your little toilet room; I’m sure it’ll turn out beautifully! Sending love back to Australia and wishing you a wonderful weekend. 😊❤️
🎉Happy New Year ✨️ You're sooo right this 2 last weeks, people are super angry for anything....even today I went to check out what's on sale, and just left back home, I wasn't going to deal with all this anxiety and frustration vibes....I will just check online and have it delivered to my house....hopefully in 2 weeks, people are settled in and everything becomes nornal again...Taking your advice 😊
It really does feel like everyone’s emotions are heightened right after the holidays, doesn’t it? You're so wise to step away and avoid all that stress-online shopping from the comfort of home is such a good alternative! Hopefully, things will settle down soon, and the calmer vibes will return. Sending you lots of peaceful energy and patience in the meantime. 😊💕
I put brightly coloured butterfly wallpaper in my under the stairs loo. I would never put such bold paper anywhere else as I am too timid in my decorating style but I agree with you Catherine, you can kind of go as mad as you like in a wee room like that. 😊🏴
What a fab little project! I have to say, I've been following your channel for about 3 or 4 yrs now and just find you inspirational and delightful. As a single girl, you've really inspired me to try some home DIY myself, although of course I wish I could just fly you to the UK for a week to help me! 😅 Oh, a little tip about the wallpaper. I watched a RUclipsr called Sage Lilliman wallpaper her bathroom and she applied some kind of clear sealant over it to make it much more water resistent which seems such a great idea! Might be worth a look 😊 My downstairs toilet is on my to do list for this year and I want wallpaper too as it just looks so lovely. Hope you're feeling better soon dear Catherine. Looking forward to seeing what else you turn your gifted hands to this year! ❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that I’ve inspired you to take on some DIY projects yourself. I’d love to help if I could, but I’m cheering you on from here! You’ve got this! 😊 Great idea with the sealant on the paper, I wonder what it was that she used.
Oh I hear you, girl. Shout out to all the retail staff, well done, you made it through the madness! My daughters both worked weekends in retail when they were in high school. All year round I was happy to collect them from work until December came around. I used to park in a street close to the retail park and they would meet me there. The Christmas shopper traffic was horrendous. Thank goodness for online ordering. The wee loo is looking lovely already and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished job. What about making a wee skirt for the washbasin? Siobhan could get a wee stand or something behind it for storage and it wouldn't take up any floor space. A nice ticking stripe would work well with the wallpaper. Hope you're feeling better, Catherine and happy new year x
Thank you so much for watching! Retail staff really are heroes during the December chaos. It’s lovely you were there to collect your daughters-I’m sure they appreciated it. Online shopping has definitely made things easier. Hope you had a peaceful New Year! Thanks for noticing the wee loo! Love the idea of a skirt for the washbasin-a ticking stripe would be so charming, and a little storage stand sounds perfect. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy New Year to you too!
Thank you so much for your kind words! You’ve got this-the wood panelling will look amazing in your living room when you’re ready. I’m so glad I can inspire you. Happy New Year to you too! 🎉😊
Thank you so much! That really warms my heart. It’s a joy to be able to help out and share the creative process along the way. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead! 💕
I am TOTALLY with you, Catherine, about going out to the shops right before Christmas. It is awful!! People are stressed and not nice. Glad you made it out in one piece.😉 Blessings Always 💚🙏💙🍀🌎😊
I’m so with you on that! The shops can be such a madhouse right before Christmas, and it definitely brings out the worst in some people. I’m glad I survived the chaos too! 😂 Blessings to you as well, and thank you for your kind words! Have a lovely weekend! 💚🙏😊
Wow Catherine! I hadn't watched this video before, I'd only watched the tiling one - what an amazing before and after difference! 😆 Well done, it looks absolutely amazing!! 😄🌺
Thank you so much! 😊 It’s always fun looking back at the “before” and seeing just how far a space has come. I’m so glad you enjoyed both videos, and I really appreciate your kind words. 🌸 Now to think of the floor? 😄✨
Dainty, I turned my extra bathroom into a "posh" liu as well. It took me 9 months to get everything done as it was mostly done with pieces from charity shops here in the US. I'm hoping to post my first video to RUclips soon. Pray for me bc I'm kind of nervous to do it, especially the editing part of it. Shavanne's liu tured out great as well as her bedroom.
Catherine you did a brilliant job wallpapering with a head old 👏.The room is looking lovely. Totally agree with you to avoid shopping pre Christmas, just madness.Thank you, hope you are feeling better x.
Hi Catherine I'm suffering with a heavy cold and chest at the moment too, you have my sympathy it sucks! The Loo came up a treat and I can't wait to see how the tiles transform it
Im sorry to hear that, there is a really bad dose of a cold doing the rounds this Winter, I heard a lot of people are in hospital with flu this year. Lots of rest x
The tile, like you, I'm not sure about laying them. So I sidestepped the issue and bought big tiles had them cut to size.so the only grout is top bottom and where they meet in the corner join. Love it.some aluminum beading and it was done. Easy peasy. Love that stripe paper, well done xx
Great job 👏 your patience is amazing too ! I don’t blame you for wanting to stay home during this time, but you may want to stop by the pub and get something to relieve that congestion 😉 🤣🎅🏻
I used to work in retail, and yes you can come across rude people, but during Christmas I made sure to say merry Christmas and happy new year to staff, if I was out shopping. Oh I laughed at your wave to the irate driver 🫢🥰. But just pretend it was someone who recognised you Catherine😆. Oh and the wee room (do you get it wee room😆) looks lovely.
Did I tile? Yes I did, catch the next video here: ruclips.net/video/_NKMTapEOYc/видео.htmlsi=y_iPyLacwnTtWCo2
You made me laugh about the full moon and you waving at that person😂 cheeky thumbs up xx
Haha, that full moon and Christmas traffic had everyone a bit loopy x
Hi Catherine
I think a skirt under the sink will look really nice and give you a bit of storage
Extra storage is always a win!!
I am a teacher and you always know when it's a full moon... the kids are crazy lol.
haha, I am glad I am not the only one who picks up on the energy!
A tiny bathroom is still a much needed space and wow, it looks so much better!! ❤
Thanks so much! 🫶
Also……I adore your cats! Their names are adorable!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Very tiny powder room. I like that you're using up left over materials and it's a budget do over. It's looking really cute!

and a cheeky hot whiskey!

Good morning, Daggy, and a very Happy New Year to you too! Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m feeling a bit better now, thankfully. Sending blessings and warm greetings back to you ☘️✨
Perfect timing. I have a tiny half bath under the stairs that needs a lot of love. Thank you for sharing
The tiling video will be up next week! Wishing you a wonderful 2025 full of more DIY success and inspiration! ✨
Oh I hope you are feeling better soon 😊 that bathroom will be gorgeous when your finished 😊
Thank you! 😊 I feel much better, Happy New Year x
You have done an incredible job on this space! I’m excited to tackle my little half- bath. Thanks. ❤
You are so clever 🌸🌸
It made my day when this video appeared. The wallpaper is awesome. Your voice is so calming. Looking forward to part 2. Take care of yourself.
I’m so glad this video brightened your day! Thank you for the lovely compliment-I’m really happy you like the wallpaper and find my voice calming. Part 2 is ready for next week. Take care as well! 😊
Happy new year ❤ thankyou for all your motivation helps me no end loves and hugs xx
Happy new year!! x
I'd take that slab board and stain it a nice warm and see if it would fit on the back of the toilet tank for a shelf. Add some warmth. Also for the sink, add pretty material with sticky velcro around the edge of the front of the basin. ❤
Thanks for the suggestions, love the idea of the fabric under the sink because it is such an awkward corner x
It really turned out nice! It's bright and bougie! Very nice!
Thank you! X
Oh love the bathroom with the wallpaper!
Thank you xxxx
Love the new bathroom transformation!
Thanks for watching xxx
capping off the top of the mdf really makes the molding look posh. thank you for the videos~ Im getting closer /more brave to do this to my own walls.... wishing you a Happy 2025!
You’re so right! The capping really does give it that polished, high-end look. I’m so glad the videos are helping you feel more confident to tackle your own walls-keep going, you’ve got this! Wishing you a wonderful 2025! 😊🎉
You are amazing get well soon❤
Thank you ☺️ I feel much better now ❤

I had a friend with a peculiar strategy to reduce road rage. Whenever someone beeped at her she blew them kisses with a beaming smile. They were so shocked they didn't know how to react and just looked away. It was fun to witness too.
This is so funny 😂😂 what a great way to throw people off
Your friend is so lucky 💓 You're spilling the secrets of peel-n-stick tiles 😮
This video is great at showing how different the same wallpaper looks in 2 different spaces as well! I'm afraid the multi-directional lines whilst weeing isn't going to help the mens' aiming, but it is simply stunning!! 😅😂😅😂
haha, once they don't wee on the wallpaper, I will be happy lol! Thanks for watching x
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Thanks so much for watching. :)
Good video 👩🏼🔧
Thanks! 😃
🎉Happy New Year ✨️
You're sooo right this 2 last weeks, people are super angry for anything....even today I went to check out what's on sale, and just left back home, I wasn't going to deal with all this anxiety and frustration vibes....I will just check online and have it delivered to my house....hopefully in 2 weeks, people are settled in and everything becomes nornal again...Taking your advice 😊
It's so pretty, Catherine!!!
I put brightly coloured butterfly wallpaper in my under the stairs loo. I would never put such bold paper anywhere else as I am too timid in my decorating style but I agree with you Catherine, you can kind of go as mad as you like in a wee room like that. 😊🏴
Love the sound of the bright paper! You’re so right, you can get away with it in the smaller spaces ❤
What a fab little project! I have to say, I've been following your channel for about 3 or 4 yrs now and just find you inspirational and delightful. As a single girl, you've really inspired me to try some home DIY myself, although of course I wish I could just fly you to the UK for a week to help me! 😅
Oh, a little tip about the wallpaper.
One of these days I am going to get up enough courage to put these boards in my living room. You continue to inspire me! Happy New Year!🎉
Thank you so much for your kind words! You’ve got this-the wood panelling will look amazing in your living room when you’re ready. I’m so glad I can inspire you. Happy New Year to you too! 🎉😊
Beautiful, quality job as usual
Thank you so much
The bathroom is looking good. Great work, Catherine. Hope you are feeling better really soon!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you’re enjoying the progress. I’m starting to feel much better, thank you for your kind wishes! 😊
I love how talented you are and how you do things for your family as well!!!
Thank you so much! That really warms my heart. It’s a joy to be able to help out and share the creative process along the way. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead! 💕
All of what you said about full moon x retrograde x Christmas!! People were cray this year!
Im so glad I wasn't the only one who felt it x
That toilet definitely needs a make-over. It only takes small things to be damaged and general wear and tare for a make over.😊 love your videos.
Your videos are so inspiring which is actually a bonus, because I would watch just to hear your charming accent. much love from Tennessee in USA❤️❤️❤️
That’s so kind of you to say-thank you! I’m delighted you enjoy the videos and the accent too. Sending much love back to Tennessee! ❤️😊
I feel the same way you do about peel & stick tiles! They are a waste of time & money! You did a great job on the tiny powder room!
Catherine, thank you for another enjoyable video! Good work on the wee bathroom!
Thanks so much! 😊
I am TOTALLY with you, Catherine, about going out to the shops right before Christmas. It is awful!! People are stressed and not nice. Glad you made it out in one piece.😉
Blessings Always 💚🙏💙🍀🌎😊
I’m so with you on that! The shops can be such a madhouse right before Christmas, and it definitely brings out the worst in some people. I’m glad I survived the chaos too! 😂 Blessings to you as well, and thank you for your kind words! Have a lovely weekend! 💚🙏😊
The crow bar has made its appearance! I recently re-watched the declutter video where you talked about your crowbar. 😂
😂😂😂 my FAVOURITE tool 💪🏼
Wish you a very happy New Year filled with good health, joy and love.
Thank you so much! Wishing you a very happy New Year too. Here's to a wonderful year ahead! 🌟
You are so good at this!
Your so kind ❤
Well done on your renovation!! That’s amazing 😍👏 and once you post the first video the nerves will be gone! You can do it ❤️
Catherine you did a brilliant job wallpapering with a head old 👏.The room is looking lovely. Totally agree with you to avoid shopping pre Christmas, just madness.Thank you, hope you are feeling better x.
Thanks so much Alison ❤️
Thank you for the lovely video. The music is wonderful. Good job!
I'm glad you like it, thanks for watching x
A hot whiskey will cure all that ails lol x
For the plank removal try using a heat gun or a hot hairdryer
I used to work in retail, and yes you can come across rude people, but during Christmas I made sure to say merry Christmas and happy new year to staff, if I was out shopping. Oh I laughed at your wave to the irate driver 🫢🥰. But just pretend it was someone who recognised you Catherine😆. Oh and the wee room (do you get it wee room😆) looks lovely.
Wee room 😂😂😂 love it ❤
Wow! What a difference already. Can’t wait to see it done. You do good work!
Thank you for watching x
So clever. This looks great 🎉
Thank you! 😊
