I used to tease MJ and his lyricist partners for 'stealing the lyrics of my dreams...knowing what my heart had written before a line was done!" He tested me 1x, sending me supposed lyrics and leaving portions out. I completed, 2 pages in less than 1 hour, popped it back into the return post, and he loved it!! I'd written the same words in 19 of 24 lines! In the 5, I had differences due to my use of British English vs US American English. He wrote "ok, who has who's brain?!" We met x2 on his trips back here to Minnesota, and both of our return call to this state (he never got to see how my Ireland looks/feels like MN; how coasts Ireland or Scotland IS the Iron Range & Lake Superior -- same glacier, same feel, age, stone, beauty). He is finally at peace now, resting Spirit quiet, with the Lord, in the beauty of God's Kingdom. (I'm a Seer; He is there). Peace to you!!

His heart was resident in a Northern pine forest, wrapped in woodsmoke, with animals and the Spirits of them nearby. That's what you feel in his music, the Spirits of his stories: his truck driver racing back; his old couple separated for 1st time ever ("Where have you been?"); final goodbyes, first tentative hellos, long-term conversations interrupted - and the wild colts and fillies, running free until 2 yrs old then time to teach them the obedience of bit & bridle, but never steal away the Spirit of the running in the wilderness, free and proud. That's where his Spirit is now, running free with the musicians and artists of his time, then relaxed and warm in stable if a storm comes up. Many moons ago in Salem, VA I sat in Michael's dressing room while he, Allison and her band sang acapella before the show. It was a special evening and we all miss Michael since his passing.
He's so cool. I just met him today. He played at my Highschooll, Washburn High in Minneapolis. He played some solo stuff and then asked the group if anyone wanted to play a song for him. I raised my hand, and even tho I lost my voice yesterday at the pep fest, I knew it would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to get a master class with Michael Johnson. I didn't realize that he was the guy that wrote Bluer Than Blue, tho. He was so modest, he just acted like yer average joe.

Sadly michael johnson is no longer with us but they did a wonderful job with this remake. Johnson is also know for 2 of his wonderful hits bluer than Blue and I know the night won't last forever.
