I find this video really helpful, thank you so much. It is really good to refer to the chart and pattern while watching the video - helps me to learn as I am pretty much a beginner. It's such a lovely pattern, so beautiful.

Hi! I’m just starting these. Your instructions are fantastic!
Can you please tell me what the dimensions should be for each with the 3.75mm hook?

@rachelecarmona Please could you tell me what the diameter is of a finished solid and rose hexagon please? Just want to know I'm on the right lines before doing more. Many thanks for a wonderful pattern.

Hi I'm about about to start the happy little tree blanket and I was just wondering how do you know what colours to pick for the flowers? The hexagons ? I'm so very excited to start this blanket its for a very special friend's birthday. Thank you for the pattern and the videos. This really helps I'm more of a visual learner. You are very talented!

I found this impossible to follow after the five petals. I am a beginner. This just went way too fast for me. Perhaps with a thinner yarn and a larger crochet hook, I would have been able to follow exactly where the crochet hook entered the front from the back? I did end up with a rather pretty freestyle dimensional flower though :-)

The written pattern could help - thank you!

@@RacheleCarmona I just finished my second attempt, and the written pattern and clear photos helped a lot. I have a flower that is very pretty, but I can see that the chain stitches on the back of mine are nearer the centre than in your example. I've grasped the concept of this flower, but not convinced I've understood where exactly these chain stitches are that I am supposed to pick up from for the second layer of petals? The blanket is beautiful BTW. I'm approximately 2 light years away from making one :-) x

There are charts and written instructions with step by step photos free on my site as well - once you do a couple, it’s easy to memorize - hope the chart/written will help some! Happy crafting ❤️

While I love the blanket I felt disappointed that the pattern I paid for does not include the photos or a colour chart on how to arrange the little mottifs/ hexagons. Or a mention of how many should be made from each ball it did not mention which colous the flower mottifsshould be made from either which was confusing. The pattern I received was very basic and lacking In essential detail

The pattern instructs to make 1 plain and 1 rose hexagon from each ball. You can use the photos to create your placement ❤️❤️ this pattern is also available free on my website with more photos if you’re having difficulty - cypresstextiles.net/2018/06/17/happy-little-tree-crochet-blanket/

@@RacheleCarmona I stand corrected. I just saw now that it says in brackets how many to make of each motif. I see the photos on your website they will be helpful. I just would have found it better to have those photos in the paid pattern as well. Having said that I'm happy to support you by buying the pattern.

Thank you! If I put it all in like I used to, I got complaints the PDF is too long and the photos take too much ink to print - hehe so I just offer free extended version and paid condensed version 🥰❤️ Message me anytime !

@@RacheleCarmona thank you for your time and effort very much appreciated. I just have a quick question. The scheepjes stone washed and river washed colour pack has 58 colours .the pattern says (Make 50 using all 50 colors in the Cutie Pie Pack) . Do I just choose 50 colours from the pack and place the other 8 aside?

    • @RacheleCarmona

@@AussieGirl3789 great question - you will be able to get an extra row of hexagons to add in that will make the blanket 1 row taller ❤️

I love your designs. I love your FB group. I’ve ordered 2 Scheepjes RW/SW XL boxes. And 8 extra balls too. I’m considering pre-ordering your book. But this video is a very important to learn Happy Little Trees. Your very rushed, talk so fast your words get mixed up, the yarn is fuzzy, the table is dark and it’s very hard to see what we are supposed to be doing. I’ve been trying to make a tree all evening. I won’t give up but I maybe on of the testers could do this video for you taking their time. And with a fuzzy free yarn.

Quilterbee Tarpley Thank you for your feedback - I’m always trying to improve, so I appreciate it! In the meantime, you can check out the step by step photos, chart, and written instructions that I shared with you - to make the motif. Happy crafting! - RC

I don’t know if this helps a year later but you can slow down the video speed to half or 3/4ths to make it slower and easier to watch if its to fast. If you’re on your phone it’s the 3 dots in the top right hand corner 😊

@@ViggyIggy Well I’m not the beginner I was last year. If she had wanted beginners to learn she would not use the same color table, yarn with dark lighting. I moved on to other designers and just finished my 3rd Sophie’s Universe. Back a year ago I was really thirsty for some inspiration and good tutorials. I found it somewhere else.
