It is a Sink Hole. There were Two Islands around early 60s. One sank. Probably 3 Islands earlier than that. It is connected to the sea underground. It is said that salt water fish appears in it.
The islands appeared when the earth sank in. The cavity filled with water. The intact ground surface , surfaced and became Island. Notice the "Hala" Tree around the sink hole is on the island also.
Few islands broke up and sank . This Island is gradually breaking up.
