The steel holds a fantastic edge for it's intended use, zero rust, good toughness and easy to sharpen back to a laser. One of the best EDC steels money can buy.
I got one had terrible lockstick while breaking in developed extreme detent lash then blade hit farthest standoff from pivot. Sent it for warranty even though it was junk it felt so nice in hand
I’ve found if I put a mirror edge on LC200N the edge retention bumps up a good bit. The chef has been my fav Spyderco for quite awhile it’s an old faithful. And the LC200N performs better than most companies
I have been eyeballing one of these for forever. I am definitely in the minority but I prefer the blue version. Should have got one when knifejoy had them in stock forever ago
The spydie chef is such a great knife, no surprise it did good for you. Even though it didn't need it I reground mine and made the tip pointer and it's one on the best edc/ kitchen pairing knives available. Lc200 takes such a nice edge and enjoy sharpening it.
Hello. Doode! Can you please adjust volume? For some reason when you speak it is more quite, but intro is too loud) if i watch your two videos in a row i turn the volume up to hear you and next intro just blows my ears😂
Then it would defeat the whole purpose of the knife, and it would rust to pieces in it's intended use. It holds an edge very well for what it's made for. LC200N is one of the most balanced steels for EDC on the market.
the design of this knife never appealed to me aesthetically, but your cut test has piqued my interest. i never thought about having a knife that allows me to rock back that far on the blade without my knuckles hitting the cutting surface.

Liked before watching cause I already know this finna be a banger
always loved the blade shape and overall design....just hate frame locks
I love mine. If I had to get rid of all of my locking knives but 5, this would be one of my keepers.
I have been waiting for this test for 5 years, FINALLY
Haha there ya go!!

The drummer on that intro band is inhuman. Skull crushing tastyness
🤘🤘

I bet that reground blade is insane!!
It's a pretty tough steel too. I can run mine along bone with no fear of chipping.
I’ve never watched anyone make cutting things look like so much fun. I’m now hunting for my own thick, wood cutting board.
Do it! It’s a ton of fun
cool- lets see some food prep tests next

My Spydiechef is my main EDC blade will carry some other secondery blade.
"Slicing like a frog in a river" I want to see that on a t-shirt.
😂
Wish it was made from S90V... Good review and test of a good knife. Thanks

What brand & micron stropping compound do you always use at the end of your cut tests?
I make my own stropping compound. Send me a message if you want more info
SpydieChef vs Drunken, all arounder ?
Chef
lc 200n vs s30vn was back in the days options .. LOL I got the VANAX and Magnacut as my daily edc and s35vn for my tough uses LOL

Get a crkt ritual you’ll be rocking for days 😂
I have always been intrigued with the Spider Chef but can’t get past its ugly profile. 🤷
