Steven K Lol the torque steer is something real. If you have a limp wrist when you slam on it, it will scare the shit out of you. Especially on stock motor mounts. Rear motor mount works wonders though, I barely even notice it anymore
the wrist is strong in this one.. lol sorry had too. but after watching the focus ST and its new torque vectoring abilities it made me look at other FWD cars in a diff light. Ford might be spoiling me tho. and thats not to say the mazdaspeed isnt a badass car.

i think the hate starts because its a fwd car, and then continues because they get compared to cars that cost way more, speeds are budget cars that someone working part time could afford, and with a few modifications and a reliable tune they can beat stis and evos, and you will still have money left over to make your car faster when you encounter a faster evo

Jim is fully bolted on E85, these were just friendly races since I told him he was going to smoke me anyways (shit he use to hang with my tuned 2011 mustang 5.0 till 100mph). I honestly think he has the fastest speed 3 in mass. Once I get some injectors, fuel pump and get a real tune on E85 then we can run again.
I LOOOVE my Speed3! No one can comprehend that they beat ANYTHING, because people online always bash them. I've been an Evo/WRX/GTI fan for years...but I see them everywhere. That's why I went with MS3, just to be a lil more rare. Glad I did! she's more of a sleeper as well, which makes for a surprise when I Zoom Zoom past everyone. :D

Like I've said 1000x people. My car trapped 108-110 at this time and he was prob trapping around 105 at this time. I don't find it hard to believe a speed3 would pull on a Evo X. Yes you can still lose traction and win car was pullin bruhhh.

This ms3 stayed with me up to 100mph when I raced him in my previous car 2011 mustang 5.0 which I dyno'd 380 WHP same day he put down 315whp and around 360tq.
I raced an evox.. he was stage 2 on an ots map and i was on a custom 17 psi map that i made myself.. the mods the have on my speed 3 were the same for the evo both turboback exhausts + intake... 3rd and 4th gear he pulled ahead about 1/4 of a car and 5th gear my car noped him and i pulled ahead... that was him on a 23 psi tune... im on 20 psi now i wish i had a bigger turbo lol
The speed3 is fully bolted and tuned with E85 roughly 320whp and 365tq. The Evo just has Perrin intercooler and full exhaust with stock o2 housing running Perrin ots map which is putting it around 290whp and around 260tq. With the power difference and the added weight roughly 200 pounds, you can see that outcome makes perfect sense.
tune for 50-50 e85....does wonders, my buddy has one tuned by trifecta, got custom tuned by one of them for e85 and his car rips, on 93 I get him by about a car
Who said anything about traction on the Evo? The speed3 was having a hard time getting traction since he is putting down about 100 more tq than my Evo. I plan to get a custom tune on 93 and E85 in the spring then see what the outcome is.

I have a 2008 speed 3 but I’m always gonna be a dsm guy and still have a 2g eclipse gst. This speed can easily take on the EvoX but I don’t think the outcome will be the same if he goes up against the true 4g63t. This evo motor is trash!! MazdaSpeed 3s are amazing cars man, if you like being a shock to people they're definitely the way to go. Or if you want to invest in an older car, MazdaSpeed 6s are just as great, and you get all wheel drive

Speed3 e30 maps are no joke. Had both of these cars. And this isn’t even a fbo evo so of course the speed3 would pull.
First one was around 40-50mph I was in 3rd and spun. Next race was 4th for me at 50mph I just wanted traction right away haha.
