Very good video. I have the EQ Plus and Heil GM mic and it works very well for me, my settings are very close to yours also.

I ran a ground wire from the last component in the stack in line and haven't had any problems.

Love the review, it helped me alot but one thing I noticed was you got your effect processor description backwards....position 1 emulates sound bouncing multiple times and position 2 emulates sound bouncing once of a Solid surface according to the manual that came with it.....but otherwise this was super helpful. 73's.

There’s a really loud hiss. What’s that coming from?
I have a problem with the COMP have it turned off, the position OF jakja handled exclusively, it can hear breathing and hissing, I can not delete one of this :( after excluding copma it is ok
What about grounding? Did you have any trouble with grounding and RFI?
Eq Plus W2IHY è eccezionale, come pure il supporto diretto e la disponibilità di Giulio o Julius che ringrazio sempre. Mi trovo benissimo adesso con il mio Eq Plus, ma non vi nascondo che all'inizio ho avuto qualche difficoltà nella regolazione, per trovare il migliore settaggio. Ogni tanto la modulazione si portava dietro fastidiosi rumori, ma io non avevo capito. Il segreto a mio parere è fondamentalmente nelle due manopole che regolano il compressore e il livello di uscita. Basterà abbassare il più possibile il livello di compressore e aumentare gradualmente il livello di uscita tenendo d'occhio l'ALC dell' RTX, per ottenere il massimo e il gioco è fatto ! ....Il resto delle manopole è veramente facile da settare, basterà regolare inoltre semplicemente le "soglie" di livello di ingresso e di livello di espansione. Non c'è di meglio sul mercato radioamatoriale, per me Eq Plus è il n.1 con un bel microfono Heil sound PR-40 o PR-781 darà grandi soddisfazioni nella compressione di modulazione.

If you only buy one, buy the EQPlus.
Never understood the point. Most rigs have an audio frequency range of 300hz to 3khz. Pointless to boost anything lower or higher than this.
For the cost, the EQ and Noise Gate are oddly homemade-looking.

Mike Scott EQPlus if you can only buy one. The compressor, downward expander, and other features are definitely worth it.

$400 is only one of those.... $700 for both.
The monitor on these radios are horrible. Get a kenwood 870

зря на eqplus компрессор включил. И так все причмокивания слышно было, а стало вообще невыносимо. Да ещё лишние басы, которых при живом прослушивании уж точно нет. Противно.
