Thanks Dave for the informative video. I think that I am going to order one of these for my IC-7300.

Hi there - good news you won't be disappointed. I have mine always in place. I was thinking of getting a second one, the smaller digital version for mobile use.

Mine has a weird squeal or flanger sound when I’m talking. Any idea what’s causing that?

This could be due to feedback from the earphones to the microphone. Are you using a monitor mode whereby you can hear yourself speak?

i have an RCI 2970. Will this add any type of talkback/audio play back so that you can hear your audio when adjusting?

Hi there - no not that I am aware of. The talk back or monitor function would have to be provided by the radio. With the Icom 7300 (my radio) I can either use the monitor function or I prefer to record the audio onto the SD card and then play it back to get a feel for the audio processor impact

I see you have a power cord in the back of the processor.

Hi there - yes the version of the processor I bought is design specifically for the Icom 7300 and so has a cable with the Icom microphone connector fitted. so plugging into the 7300 powers the processor and has all the correct audio and PTT connections. So no external power supply required by the processor only the 7300 connection
