My siblings and I learned to ski there back in the mid to late 60s. Even my mom learned to ski there in her 50s also in the 60s. Great memories! Miss it alot. Was very inexpensive.
The statement about the water is not entirely true, the ski area had been making snow long before some environmentalists decided it would be a good way to close the ski area. Environmentalists only want you look at the park just don’t have fun doing it.
The were pulling water from the beaver ponds near by - and had been for a long time you are correct. Not okay - it smuch better off now, we have tons of fun there and ski there a lot throughout winter to avoid i70.
What a great feature and wonderful little spot. Thanks, Team 7!
