Watching “Hamilton” on Broadway (2x ) vs Disney+ (5x) are two majorly different experiences, depending on where you were sitting in the theater
However, everybody at home had “the best seat in the house”, in front of their TV … on TV = Emmys
We watch all these prerecorded shows on TV, but the “Hamilton” TV version shouldn’t count.
WTF, it was well edited, directed and acted. It is brilliant and deserving.
Stop dragging, the show…back in the 80’s Showtime recorded and aired many Broadway shows, but it nothing like this production
Also, Spike Lee directed John Leguizamo’s “Freak” on Broadway; which was Emmy nominated. This concept is not new to TV or to Emmy nominations. However, “Hamilton” excelled in its presentation 👏

I talked to someone who predicted Emily in Paris a month ago. Their reasoning was that it was really popular and none of the other competition (like Girls5eva) had the level of visibility or passion that Paris has.
And just to toot my own horn, i correctly predicted that Master of None would get nothing. The controversies from both Waithe and Ansari were too big to ignore.

I know critics are tired of talking about Hamilton but I have to say that Daveed Diggs stole my heart and having seen him in other things subsequently, he is not a one trick pony. He is a fabulous actor and deserves to win even though the show is "old". Still legit.

A show you thought might finally earn an Emmy nomination a couple of weeks ago for its final season but which was snubbed was "Superstore." As a fan of the series, I'm disappointed (at the Television Academy, not you), although which nominee would it have displaced? Which is weaker, Cobra Kai or Emily in Paris?
