    I think I'd go with the standard version and spend the difference on doing track days. That would make me a far better rider than electronic suspension will.

    • @coolhari2000
      @coolhari2000 5 лет назад +7

      That's not necessarily the case. If you absolutely want to develop your skill ride a smaller displacement bike. The electronics can actually help your learning curve by not making you pay for mistakes. (a high side is not fun).

      Such a great comment.and there is always a suspension guy there who will set up the bikes suspension just the way it needs to be for rider weight and abilities and you just shaved off 5k in the process.

      Agreed, not afraid to speak his mind nor offer an alternative (and non-scripted or PR neutralised) view of racing. You'd wouldn't believe how dedicated to winning he is via training, motivation and focus. Underneath the entertaining exterior, he's a proper sportsman.

    I really feel no more informed as to whether one is better than the other. No more information is really provided that I couldn’t already read off Ducati website lol. Oh well 🤷‍♂️ all I got was main difference is ones electronic, and one is not. This is basically the movie in a nutshell.

      Dave Moss says to just get the Base model, the showa front is great and so is the rear he said. So just pay $60 to have a suspension expert set it up and it will save you 5k.end of story.

  • @waseemmustapha2641
    @waseemmustapha2641 4 года назад +5

    I suppose 0.7 sec is relatively insignificant if you not racing. One can obviously argue that a better handling bike is faster, but for general road or track riding which bike feels better, more stable in corners and confidence inspiring. This might be more relevant I think.

  • @BruceWayne-hf7zw

    Michael Rutter has tested both and actually went slightly quicker on the base. The ohlins is nice bling but the average buyer isn’t getting anything other than a fuzzy joy feeling by owning something flasher. The one size fits all spring rates and older spec stuff is going to be less good than buying an after market ttxgp with the right spring and an nix30mm carriage kit. So that’s the best option. The S is just a nicer, flasher version that can potentially go slightly quicker. And there’s no problem with somebody wanting that

      but that the kicker a properly set up suspension most people dont really know or care enough to learn how to set up a suspension they just want to enjoy a weekend track day with there mates a v4s give you the ability to setup or let the bike make its setup for you in an easy to understand and simple to implement way and it looks killer as well

  • @CunningStuntsGoFast
    @CunningStuntsGoFast 5 лет назад +6

    well i own the v4s and i can tell you that it isnt worth it for most . 80% of the people dont even adjust their suspension on a bike when they buy it anyway .so this hard to notice dynamic mode they talkin about will make a difference for them , i think not . and whats that amateur way of 'proving' that the s is faster . its also not even true , effectivly the difference is the heavier wheels , wich isnt much . acting as if it comes from the suspension is fake and bullshit

      @MARCUSAURELIUS i dont know as i had the 1199 base before this one , and that suspension was so terrible (marzoccci) that i spend 2900 euro for ttx36 rear - fg front cartridge . thats half the differense between base and s already and then you still have the heavier wheels and the trade in is much lower with a base . if stock suspension is guaranteed enough for me then yes

That was a happy happy day when I went to pick it up 👍😀 Instead of getting an S I got a full termi exhaust system which for the road gave the bike an awesome sound. Bennetts Bike you have done a lot of videos on many topics so not an easy question! Maybe you could do a series on the history of certain bikes such as GSXR, ninja, CBR etc, and give advice on which model is best, and what to look out for if you are buying second hand. I am sure I speak for a lot of people when I say I can’t afford a brand new super bike so a critical review of some older models would be cool and informative!

    Interesting that he says preload is preload. Set that and you are done. Sag should be the same in all modes right? Unless you are adding luggage weight or passenger weight. Wish the systems had built in sag measurement so you could load the bike as needed and add preload until the sag read the correct amount. On this bike do you get to specify compression and rebound rates or is it just selections for firmness, low, medium, or hard, or I should say soft medium and hard. That is all the choices I have on the Multistrada, just 5 levels of damping firmness.
