The biggest issues with my Panigale V4S are: 1. Heat - helped with expensive frame and sub frame carbon fibre covers. It's not your backside that gets hot, it's your knees and inner thighs. 2. Want a fuel gauge - such an easy thing to add with a sensor and software update. Would help plan fuel stops on a day out on the road so much. 3. Throttle slack - easy fix with throttle spacers. 4. Tail assembly is god awful. 5. Want cruise control. This would make being on the motorway to get to the twisties so much less fatiguing. Aside from that, it's an amazing bike and with these sort of bikes comes expensive servicing and parts which is expected.
Nice videos. I road my 1199S through winter and it stood up to the salt very well. There was some discolouration of fasteners. However I just rinsed it with water after each ride and cleaned it more thoroughly once a week. Much better than my Japanese bikes which suffered corroded fasteners and paint peeling off callipers and engine.
Lovely bike and great review. I cant help but think modern ducati's don't have the same appeal or mystic that the old cagiva Era bikes had. The 916 was uncomfortable, it overheated if you went into traffic with it, At low speed the Gearbox had more neutrals than a Barry Manilow concert, It missfires at low speed, you need to see a back specialist after 100 miles The clutch sounds like the big end is about to land in your crotch. But yet........ When you look at it and thump that starter into life.. Find the right road at the right time It all makes sense and all is forgiven. The raw Ness and the visceral experience of riding it... Heaven I love the v4 it's stunning.. But it's a different animal all together.
What why the thumbs down...?.. its beautiful and I'd you can afford it why not.. look how happy he was.. it's how it makes you feel that counts.. I have a 4k 08 zx10 .. yeh not the prettiest bike in the world.. but when I take her out.. damm I cant stop smiling.. also excellent for practicing wheelies..great review.. love the bike 🏍💨💨💨👍❤
I'd love to own a v4 but too scared to get her dirty... bmws1000rr for me.. I'd use it way more and think the sat nav and cruise control are a winner .. but I guess you need to ask yourself if its touring or not
Tail tidies are hideous but.. I believe legislation dictates that the plate has to hang over/beyond the rear wheel.. Beautiful bike, but that 916 was stunning..and identical to my old ‘94 bike.. bellisimo 👌🏼
@@letsreviewit8925 you have a good point, I bought a new 2019 RSV4 1100 Factory this year over the new 2020 as I prefer manual suspension, I had an R1M and always ran it in a fixed mode anyway, if you ride on track you want manual, that said the V4S EC2 suspension is really good, way better than my old R1M - enjoy buddy ! I want to get one at the end of 2021 👍
I’ve wanted a 916 since they first came out. Never got round to owning one or a ducati for that matter. I’m now 41 so it’s now or never I guess.. I really would love the v4s.. I’m also a short arse at 5ft9”. So would need to sit on one ..
Hello, I want to buy the V4 but I'm worried about the issue of hot. Some people say it is too much hot, how is it ? It is sopportable in the streets use ? Thanks for reply !
I am in a similar place in life, finally able to afford some of the nice toys I dreamed about 25 years ago
Great feeling right? I’m on my way to achieve this dream.
Congratulations 👏 hopefully you have many happy miles of riding ahead of you

Couldn’t agree more!
Yes they become more capable, less uncomfortable, (way) more expensive, . . . . . . . and much less timeless . . . . In my mind.
The Panigale is nice and all. That 916, though... Amazing.
It has a special place for me, as a kid it was THE bike to have and still makes me grin! Thanks for watching :)
@@letsreviewit8925 I'll never forget my 998. Everything else is just a pale shadow. Look at me getting poetic :P

Hello! how come you decided to buy the base model Instead of “S”. Great review !
I didn’t like the electrical suspension I like the bike to feel the same every time i ride it. Plus it’s not worth the extra price tag in my opinion

Do you think its to hot under the seat?
When you've been riding for a while it does get toasty haha but not unbearable.
@@letsreviewit8925 are you able to ride with jeans or is it leathers only to with stand the heat?
@@marcusbarnes5929 its ok for a while but if riding in traffic it does get a little toasty.
Lol😂 .. I do the same thing with my combat F117 motorcycle… clean it and don’t want to ride it 😂😂😂

bruh if you want a ducati you dont buy it for comfort.
It’s hot hhhaha
What about the HEAT?
William Travis I didn’t find it too bad with the V4 to be honest I found the V2 A lot worse
Are you a giant ? Bike Looks tiny
👍👍👍👍👍👁️👁️👍👍👍
Trying to copy Clarkson
Would probably get to ride the V4 once a year maybe twice here in the UK if you're lucky ;)
50mph going into roundabout? Responsible rider there.
