2021 GMMK Review - Second Opinion

Really difficult to recommend this keyboard. If you want a standard TKL layout with Brown switches and don't plan on ever hot-swapping, don't buy this. If you want to fully customize your keyboard with switches, keycaps, and case/frame, don't buy this. It sits in a tough middle ground, and I somewhat regret my purchase. This is not to say it's a bad keyboard by any stretch, but I just don't see who this is supposed to appeal to besides people like me who didn't know much about mechanical keyboards, got it, added my own flair, and now just want a new case/frame. Mechanical keyboards are a very interesting hobby/interest, and while this may be a good jumping off point, its also risky. I spent $110 to find out I like the hobby, another $70 for some Cherry MX Clear switches, and $30 more for PBT keycaps. Now, after my $210 investment, I really want a new case/frame. I'm an idiot.
