Strange probably realizes that Tony's desire to enjoy his new life with Morgan and Pepper would cause just enough 'delay and hesitation' in doing the snap that it would give Thanos....another victory. (Stark made it crystal clear that....I want to come back to my family and I don't want to die!) Therefore, Strange kept quiet because... "If I tell you the future, it will never happen."

Voldemort did not turn into dust in the books. He died like a normal human.
They turned him into dust the movies for the 3D effect
a perfect line to go out on for thanos would of been "i hope they remember you", to tony before the snap or before he turns to dust...oh well

ImpalerGaming just goes to show you how much fiction can have an influence on our lives. She grew up with these characters. She dedicated her life to comics, reading and reviewing them, writing them professionally. Things like this helps people cope with their own issues, especially considering the underlining issues these characters face that are surprising realistic in terms of emotions. Everyone has dealt with death in their lives. This mirrors that reality.
Upset that black widow didn't get a memorial funeral. She's the only character that didn't fight to stay alive...but fought to die.

That scene was a little strange for me. If all Thanos needed was a soul to retrieve the Soul stone why not sacrifice a minion instead of his beloved daughter? I thought the idea was he had to sacrifice something he loved, so Gamora died.
How was self sacrifice a way to get the stone in that context? Perhaps the condition to release the stone was tailored to those trying to retrieve it but I'm not sure that was made clear...
I always thought Black Widow should have had a stand alone film tho so probably just overthinking it as i'm not sure how they could do that now...
@@ruddo1970 I honestly think she's stuck in 2014. Bruce tried to bring her back with the snap and if he did (we don't know) then she would be back in 2014. As for the self sacrifice, I think it's because Hawkeye was trying his best to pull her up and failed that it counted
It was just such a character arc for her. Going back to Avengers 1 when she tries to save Barton from Loki, explaining that she's got "red in her ledger". Well done, Natasha. Spider man far from home Better have some reference to her sacrifice.
Yeah she definitely balanced out that ledger with her sacrifice for all her friends.

When Cap grabbed Thor’s hammer I literally gasped and cried of joy. The whole theater bursted out in applause!! I have spent years explaining to my friends how Cap is worthy and he is :’)

Codename 11 I genuinely was so happy for him, he has been so lonely since he woke up. I’m sad to loose him but so happy he got to spend his life with Peggy. It was a really nice ending
I’m a Cap girl but I thought Iron Mans end was amazing too. He went from being selfish to being entirely selfless, he had one of the best story arch’s ever.
I saw a theory a little bit ago that Cap could always lift the hammer (remember ultron, where everyone's trying to lift it and he gets it to budge a little?!), but that he knew it'd bum Thor out bc it's his "thing", so... Cap being Cap, decided to pretend he couldn't lift it and "gave up" to not make Thor feel bad, and it's kinda headcanon for me now cuz it's sooo in character for him and I love it lol...

@@lifeisbutadreamm That's possible, but as we saw in the movie Thor was more excited than anyone that Cap could lift the hammer and how would cap have known in Ultron that he could lift it if he hadn't tried before? Another theory that I like is that, yes Cap was always worthy because of his pure heart, but he has been held back due to guilt of the things he was keeping from Tony (as discussed in Civil War). And in Endgame, they finally reconcile and the secret is out and he therefore had nothing weighing him down, allowing him to wield Mjölnir.
Man, that elevator scene that was a clear callback to The Winter Soldier was golden. You thought Cap was going to wreck the Strike Team again, but then he breaks out the "Hail Hydra" to get them to hand him the scepter. Brilliant.
Also a reference to comics run where cap was a Hydra Agent

Writing was on point during this movie.
Tony stark on the the final scene of the very First MCU movie and ironman's debut: I am ironman.
Tony stark on his last appearance as ironman and right before he dies: I am ironman.
Literal more goosebumps that I've ever had plus tear drop plus salute to the writers.
"I am inevitable" was such a devastatingly good line.
This movie was so damn good
It had multiple plot holes but forgivable
Grace, I was crying alongside with you when you were discussing Tony. I love him so much, I'm glad he somehow managed to have sorta happy ending with Morgan and Pepper during those five years.
Then Pepper saying he could finally rest now hit me because he always cared and worried and now he could truly rest. I didn't want Tony to die, rather just to settle down, but Pepper's line made me feel somewhat better over his death.
It made sense for the man who started it all to be the one to end it all. It was poignant and beautiful, the way they handled his death.
Damn! That's exactly it!!! That's why I cant hate his death even though I want to so much and why I cant completely love the movie even though I want to too!!!
Same. When Pepper said "We're gonna be ok, you can rest now" omg...that's what broke the Dam that feebly tried to hold back my tears!
Pepper broke down just after Tony died so he would not worry about leaving them. "We're gonna be okay" indeed.
Steve Rogers finally having that dance with Peggy opened the floodgates that even Dr Strange couldn't hold back.
The point of Strange holding up the finger was to say to Tony; whatever you’re thinking, whatever you’re about to do, this is it. This is the 1.

This was the realest review I've seen so far. The fact that Grace got so visibly emotional just even talkin about it shows how much of an emotional movie the film actually was.
As a grown man, I teared up like 3 or 4 times during this damn movie. Maybe cause I'm a little sensitive anyway. Or maybe because I've been emotionally invested in this cinematic universe since it's start. Anyway, well done Marvel. & well put together review, Grace.

So true! Nebula’s character was so sad and Natasha fighting Clint for sacrifice rights was super impactful!
@@ericmiller5603 Scott havin that little moment with his daughter I think was the 1st of many. Even though it had only felt like 5 hours for him (being in the quantum realm) he realized he had in fact missed much more time once he seen how much older Cassie was. Paul Rudd's acting was phenomenal during that scene as you could see the realization in the performance.
@@ericmiller5603 & your absolutely right. Nebula's character has been tortured so much physically & emotionally leading up to this & it shows in Karen Gillan's performance a lot in this film. Her & Scarlett Johansson did masterful jobs in this movie.

I thought I was finally getting over the snap in “Infinity War,” and that I was done crying. I thought “Endgame” was all about redemption and revenge. Then 5 minutes into the film Tony and Nebula make it back to Earth and Cap helps Tony off the ship. Tony looks at Cap and says “I lost the kid.” That was it for me, I was done. Tears just started rolling down my face again. 😭😢

Now, the decision to appoint Russo Brothers to helm Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame makes sense.
They really can handle ensemble cast really well.
And create amazing action scenes. They said it themselves they like to call themselves "action fetishists" 😂
when thor's hammer flew over to captain america... I think it was one of the most epic cinema moments I've ever witnessed

Iron Man starts an era but also ends it. Absolutely heartwarming.
Especially emotional with the vest last part of the credits where they show the Marvel logo with the audio of Tony making his first suit of armor in the cave. So moving!
I saw it tonight and I’m so Proud of what they have done and accomplished. That scene with Black Widow and Hawkeye was almost too hard to watch😢. I loved Captain America in this movie, just fantastic.
I loved General Ross at Stark's funeral. He was the hold out from Marvel's Incredible Hulk.

If cap didn't encourage Tony about the time travel and help him get the stones with him we wouldn't have everyone back including Peter Parker and thanks to Tony figuring out time travel cap got to live the life he always wanted. The mcu had Revolved around ironman but I think this movie the original 6 got the best arcs.

In the screening I went to - half the audience yelled out "Assemble!" along with Cap.
Notice how when Black Panther grabbed the Infinity Gaunlet from Hawkeye, he said "Clint!".
So I guess he did remember his name, even though he "didn't care" back in Civil War. It's these little touches which really make this seem like a masterpiece
Good catch! And SO MANY more! Sam telling Cap "on your left"; Cap telling Bucky "don't do anything stupid while I'm gone", like Bucky had told Cap when he went off to war in First Avenger; and many more.

Also when Tony got to meet his dad in the past aswel, Howard had a slight feeling he knew who Tony was even though he wasn't even born at the time. Just shows the type of reflection his father had on Tony himself that even his dad knew he was familiar.
@@samthekid1000 So many indeed. My favorite has to be Tony hugging Peter. In Homecoming when they were in Tony's car and Tony was getting the door, Peter thought he was hugging him to which Tony responded by saying "we're not there yet" or something to that effect. I suppose that means they finally got there. There really are so many to count and with every viewing I notice something that I had previously overlooked, like Hope referring to Cap as "Cap" which is a call back to Ant-Man and the Wasp where she made fun of him for calling him that. My apologies for the belated reply. I just saw the movie again and I always come back to watch Grace's review again after watching the movie and I scroll down the comment section afterwards.
I agree, the Hulk seemed comfortable finally! Also Natasha, that scene made me cry! Captain and Tony were amazing!

I almost wanted him to shout it as well, but I think of it as, even Cap was stunned by everyone showing up. Literally ALL these Superheroe's he's met over the years and have forged friendships with and alliances with... they all had his back. Literally everyone United as one on the frontlines ready to charge on his Go!
So as he says "AVENGERS!" he realizes he doesn't even have to shout "ASSEMBLE!" because they already are... ready to die for eachother.

@@ianschmitt4991 I don't want 'randomness' in a grand finale to an 11 year saga. I want succinct story telling that makes sense, which unfortunately (imo) can't be said for this movie.
The passion in this video is the most relateable thing ever.
The way Okoye casually just killed Corvus Glaive in like a second was both hilarious and kinda dissapointing, The Black Order looked like a bunch of pushovers AGAIN overall except for maybe Ebony Maw.

The wide shot of cap standing on a hill, with all of thanos’ army, and cap is highlighted by the sun peaking through the clouds is literally one of the best shots in movie I’ve ever seen
Embraces and embodies Caps philosophy of "as long as one of us is still standing, we havent lost".

I know right!! I loved how he stood up against that whole army, even if he didn't have any backup. I love Captain America and the way Chris Evans played him was just pure gold! GOLD!!!
When I first found out that Black Widow was going to have a solo film, I was so exited and wanted it to be a prequel because seeing her backstory would have been so interesting and intense. But after watching this movie and experiencing her death, it killed me so much seeing her go that I'm hoping that her film is a sequel so she can come back😭

One of my first choke points in the movie was Rocket and Nebula on the steps of the Bennetar, contemplating that they are the only 2 Guardians left.
The moment when i couldnt control myself and laughed was when they were assembling the stones into the new gauntlet and every1 was silent and rocket was like: BOOM!

Grace, I don't think it's a coincidence that the 3 characters that you felt should have had a bigger scene or two are also the 3 characters who have sequels coming in the future. Dr. Strange 2, Spider-Man FFH, and Black Panther 2. The directors/writers probably wanted to focus on the other characters a little more.
That frame with the all women heroes was awe gasping worthy. Amazing stuff throughout the movie.

Andrew Coffey Jarvis is a character from Agent Carter TV show in the MCU. Howard Stark is a different actor in that series. I of course am aware that Howard stark has been previously portrayed in the films.

He really did that was also great acting on RDJ's part there in that scene, just a lovely scene between the two hes basically telling her father how he did a great job with him, it reminded me alot of when Kevin Costner in that movie Field of Dreams.
For sure. Tony's anger at the beginning... an incredible performance. Unlike Grace I sided with cap in civil and I also felt that scene was very poignant.
Downey is the best actor the MCU has by far and it ain't close but his performance in the first Ironman and Endgame were his personal best.

When Pepper said Tony can finally rest, I didn't fully comprehend that, yes, he's been worried about this since New York - and top it all off with his PTSD issues, he was tortured for a long time....

That was awesome writing. And I wonder if the arm he was bothered with for the entire series was a hint at how Endgame would turn out? If so, the Russos are sheer geniuses.
Black widow was the biggest shock for me, but I absolutely loved it. I felt it was not only fitting but eloquent, Scarlett really triumphed here.
