Comparing Avengers killing to Batman killing is a ridiculous comparison. There is no precedent in the comics for Avengers not killing. There IS however a precedent in the comics for Batman not killing. It is a central part of his character. This has never been the case with the Avengers. Ultron called them out on being killers in the MCU, so this has already been addressed.
I think the real problem is you seeing it as “killing a black character first”. Instead of just “a character”. Maybe Marvel is the one lookin past the skin color
Who fucking cares. This movie depicted billions of people dying but an alien of black skin color (as if that fucking matters in Asgard) died first, so that's where you draw the line?
True, me and my brother we're talking. I was just going, "It's funny how the only people who get mad about stupid crap isn't even black people." Cause, no one in my family, or any of my friends even thought of that being a thing in Infinity war till we started reading reviews. People bringing up race issues in places where there isn't even a issue.
I’m black. And I had absolutely no issue when Heimdall died first. He had a heroic sendoff sending Hulk to earth to warn everyone of Thanos’ coming in his last act.
I don't get that part about "killing". Black Widow not only is a assassin, she already killed people in previous installments. Tony and Thor already killed people in their movies. And if you don't want to say Cap defeated Red Skull's army with out causing the death of single soldier, then he has blood on his hands too. Wich leads to the point: There never was a 'no kill rule' for the avengers. Batman's rule does not apply to . Not even talking about the slight difference between Batman's victims and attacking aliens.
Jak Adanz - What do you mean you barely noticed? How did you even notice? I don’t remember fucking anything about that movie, I didn’t even remember the Tesseract was in it!
I straight up just thought they brought back Hugo Weaving for the role, though I thought that they wouldn't be able to do that apparently my original thoughts were right
" I can't believe that they killed a black character first " Not treating characters in the best way they serve the story just for their race even if its a " positive " creative decision is still racism. You should stop being hyper sensitive about races and treat each character as human beings.
You completely missed the point of Thanos sacrificing Gamora. It wasn’t a man sacrificing a woman to further his goals. It was a man who had to sacrifice the only person he ever loved to achieve a greater good. It wasn’t a “you have to sacrifice a woman.” It was, “you must sacrifice someone you love.” If it were a man being sacrificed you wouldn’t be saying anything.
Diavolo I think she gets it but it’s still furthering his storyline which I liked but it would’ve been better if they would have mad that storyline playing throughout both guardians movie
You guys don’t get what the “women in fridge” complaint is about. It’s a criticism of the treatment of female characters in writing, not of Thanos’ motivations, nor is it a complaint that a woman character died like they’re just going out of their way to kill women characters because they just like to.
He warned the heroes on Earth that Thanos was coming so they could prepare, which was the entire point of sending him there. And Banner actually kills one of the Black Order by himself.
Grace.... Batmans code is not to kill.... Captain America was in the war, he kills... It's never been a thing that he doesn't do. Black Widow is a assassin..
You may not get why they didn't kill Tony, Steve, or Thor BUT I DO!!!! Think about it.... ONLY the new Avengers "died" but the original Avengers survived because IT STARTED WITH THEM AND ITS ENDING WITH THEM! Tony, Steve, or Thor will die in Avengers 4 but they WILL save everyone else or more specifically the "New Avengers!!!"
I totally agree though I don't think they will kill Thor. RDJ and Cap for sure they are tired of making these films but Chris is still liking it and they just got him right so I think he is done with his own movies but will be like hulk popping up in other people's movies
That is so true. He is an Asgardian. Filmakers and studios should really draw a line when trying to do the inclusion thing. Focus on story line and if it helps it then inclusion is great (Black Panther is the perfect example). Fans like the story first! AND!! The GOD of Thunder does not "hop" around!!!!! :O :p
I hope people realize that Dr Strange gave the Time Stone to Thanos because Tony Stark needed to live. My dad didn't seem to realize that. He even had said that if it came down to saving Tony/Peter or the Stone, he'd save the Stone. The only reason that could've changed is if the only future where they succeeded was one where Tony lived. So when he saw Thanos was gonna kill him, he knew he had to figure out a way to save him. Also, I hope Ebony Maw is still alive. People cheered three times at my showing when Cap showed up, when Black Panther showed up, and when Thor showed up at the end with his new weapon. Also, people did laugh when Peter Dinklage showed up. I also didn't get tired of the rabbit joke.
At the showing, I attended people cheered for Cap, Black Panther, Thor, and when iron man was getting into his nano suit for the first time. Edit: also spider man when his spider senses were tingling on the bus with Lee.
simplicitylost The other ones were kind of surprising to me but that was the only one that really got me because they gave him a scene they slowly faded away while the other ones were just surprises.
A black person dying first never occurred to me during the film once until you said it now. Something like this is not an issue until you make it one. Besides a few other people where killed before him, like the entire ship.
I didn’t even think about it either but if this was a horror movie, then I would have been annoyed. Lol. I like that Grace understands and acknowledges what a lot of black people thinks when to comes to movies and how we are portrayed but it doesn’t warrant here for Infinity War.
Naw , saw the flick didn't even think of it that way at all , he's a minor character at best ' so he got killed off ' she didn't bother to mention the other members of Thanos sqaud ' stabbing the other Asguardians before they even get to Hembaul " she's needlessly nitpicking on Bullshit to get a hit and this review could hav done without it , and also if Idris was smart he should stay far away from the DCU ' LMMAOFF , if i was him I'd plant a seed to be considered for something dwn the road as in a Blue Marvel standalone ! with marvel reamagining Chris Evans for Captain America ' same can happen for Idris " js .
+jam5287 The difference is....you didn't really see the other Asguardians. The camera focused on Heimdall. He was the first character with a name and appearance in other Marvel films to be killed in this movie, as well as an actor with an acting career.
23:33 People are annoyed about Batman killing people because it is a key part of his character. It makes sense for Black Widow (an assassin) and Cap (a soldier) to be fine with killing....
And I disagree with Red Skull guarding the Soul Stone I think he's the perfect person to do it. Because the soul requires a sacrifice of love and Red Skull said he was there to guard something he could never have because he didn't have the capacity for love.
I don’t like how she said there wasn’t any point of red skull being there. He literally has a line saying I was punished for trying to hold a stone so they made me gaurd one forever
Also I think they made it pretty obvious that Gamora's soul is in the stone because why else would the child Gamora had shown up to Thanos at the end when he did the finger snap.
As usual Grace rants about stuff that don't need to be rant about. I am reminded of why I stopped subbing to her channel because the kind of BS that she spews on her channel makes you roll your eyes.
Seriously.... that’s bit odd and I didn’t even notice that. I just seen a cool character dying not a black character. But dumb to think about a black dying first. Smh
It's an offensive normalization played up as a joke that black people always die first in movies. To see it realized in one of the biggest movie franchises ever is quite oblivious and ignorant.
Philip Simmonds Thank You👏🏽👏🏽. Thanos Lokied Him... Hulk had been enjoy his gladiator run, plus his is the hulk, he was freaked out. I don't understand why people need everything spelled out when we all know there is another movie.
he was not poorly used at all, being the strongest avenger and showing that even he is scared of thanos adds so much to the character of thanos and pushes the story forward, hulk smashing things is cool and all but would get pretty dull after 5 movies of doing the same. good thing you are not writing these movies bruh
I think their saving cap and tony in this movie so they get killed in avengers 4 which would be a much more better choice... Also that scene when spider man starts to fade broke my heart
@@mehmetkadirozmulla132 well if there’s a difference in time between Infinity War, And GOTG Vol. 2 we don’t know if he had another tragic crisis or not. so we actually don’t know
My favourite moment by far was when Okoye (i think that’s her name - the ‘general’ woman from the Black Panther) said “Why the hell was she up there the whole time” after Scarlet Witch took half of the army out with one blast, after they all were fighting for good 10 minutes already. Most people in our theatre laughed out loud. I think it’s just the way she said it. And she was quite right! 😂😂
why the soul stone though? and why Red Skull of all people. Why did Red Skull touching the space stone(tesseract) back in The First Avenger teleport him to the soul stone planet?
If Quill hadn't punched Thanos, I think it wouldn't have worked anyway. They wanted us to think it would have at the time, but you need to remember: - Dr. Strange saw all 14 millions (I think) possible futures, and only one was successful - Dr. Strange gives Thanos the stone while he made it clear that he would protect it over Stark or Parker life - Dr. Strange then proceeds to say "it is the only way" to Tony while he is fading away Those elements makes me guess that Strange knew exactly what he was doing, and letting things go the way they did was the only successful future he foresaw. At first I was like what the hell Stephen, why didn't you prevent Quill from doing this since you saw all those outcomes? Why didn't you use the stone to go back in time? Why did you give the stone? Then his line to Tony made me realise he had to know all along.
I feel like he's up to something. Or saw the outcome of how they'd win. The way he surrendered that stone was so weird. There's no emotional connection between strange & tony for him to give it up just like that.
GhostGamer PL yes it felt obvious, I was only pointing it out because many blame Strange, or say that if Quill hadn't punched Thanos they would have won, which is most likely not true.
7:07 Yeah she died but both Heimdall and Loki (male characters) dies to move Thors story along. And Quick Silver (male character) died and Moved Wanda's (female character) story along. So it's not just the female characters dying in marvel movies to move the males story forward.
why? who decides which life is more important? If thats the case it doesnt matter that Thanos kills millions and millions of Aliens on other planets, cuz they arent human, so who cares doesnt mean anything, thats sick thinking to me o.o but thats JUST ME!
Tim Terrell Yeah, she's an idiot. It's pretty obvious to anyone with half the brain. The whole arc of Batman is that he doesn't kill. There're no restrictions like that on black widow or cap. Batman in BvS just kill even a driver in a car who's not shooting or attacking him. Was a such a stupid film.
Yeah and she undermined what a badass character Gamora was in the GOTG movies and refused to understand why she didn't think Thanatos was capable of love. She was just nitpicking as usual.
Um??? As a black man tell me why is killing a "black character" first cliche? It's a story he's not black he's a character thats fictional damn I thought you was better than that, Why does color matter?
This is discussion that should be held for horror movies because yes, it’s a problem because they continue to perpetuate the stereotype of a black person dying first. I didn’t look at it that way in Infinity War and I love how Thor was deeply affected by his death along with Loki’s. Skin color does matter but only when it’s warranted
Djprojectus I haven't heard one review from a black person who brought this up. Grace was the first that I've heard bring it up and she looks pretty white to me...
rsonarmadaify Grace brought it up because she was surprised that nobody did it like they did in the past! Maybe people of color finally got over this race crap but i doubt it,i think the reason is more likely because Heimdal wasnt really the first to die and was an asgard dying along a bunch of asgards!
So sad that you are judging character arcs based on gender or race rather than the actual substance of the story. Even though you wanted Idris Elba to move to DC because of his skin colour...
Rene Moreno I heard it was all adlib and the actor was just told that he had to act as though he didnt want to die. The lines weren't scripted, brilliant acting.
That comment about killing a black person (Heimdall) first really annoyed me the reason people hasn't mentioned it is because maybe they dont care. its a made up character who cares if he was black or white.
Grace, your a great reviewer, but not this time. Your perspective is warped by countless rules and nit picks. Let the movie be what it is. Not what you think it should be.
Well considering that art is largely subjective, the only way to critique about the artistic aspect of a movie would be to talk about how you think it should be. There isn't an universal guideline for measuring the artistic quality of a movie, everything is arbitrary.
Exactly. I’m usually the first one on the bus to defend ignorance in the news today but I honestly didn’t notice that part. I was just sad when they killed him ☹️
Just saw the movie in a packed cinema here in South Africa! The audience almost started a riot when Black Panther "died". Yep, he is as much beloved here in Africa, so cuddos to Marvel for giving us a superhero representing our culture; and we have completely embraced him. This was the best experience at the movies since Force Awakens!!!!
Sizwesamantungwa Khumalo - look man, the WHOLE CROWD (mainly whites) in my theatre screamed out loud when T'Challa died. It was crazy. He is such a soft spoken and heroic character, everyone has taken to him so much.
Its a fictional character. If thats all you guys need to start a riot then you have a more severe set of problems over there. Relax and take a chill pill.
Okay, sometimes I don't know where the heck your options come from Grace. You don't know why people still cheer for "the Trinity"? Geez. Look at it this way. Even if people were tired of Iron Man and Captain America, Thor JUST had his most creatively and commercially successful movie ever. And you were SURPRISED the crowd was primed for him? REALLY?
More often than not you don't vibe well when going into politics in movies, it always comes off funny. And I swear your saltiness about the crap the DCEU rightfully gets influences your opinions on the marvel movies. I get it you love DC and so do I, but when it comes to the movies these days they don't compare to the MCU. Infinity War was one of the best experiences I've had at a cinema in a very long time, it was an awesome culmination of everything that came before.
Did anyone else feel really heart broken and well I cried when Spider-Man “died”? It just the way he was like I don’t wanna go and how he held on to stark just really reminds you he’s still a kid. It reminded me of myself
Absolutely…Peter kinda grew on Toni which made the whole thing worse!!! Remember the conversation Toni had with Pepper at the beginning? He doesn't need a kid, he can adopt Peter
It seemed to be ripped off "What happened to Monday?" which I watched a month back and during this scene I was like "no way, I've seen this before" and it was just Marvel trying to get a cheap reaction cause we all know Spiderman Homecoming and Black Panther 2 are confirmed. If they just kept these 2 characters I would have believed the deaths a bit more. :/
I've never met Grace, but she seems to be a devout Leftist...and that mindset is built on perpetual victimhood, which in turn comes from Marxism. Karl Marx believed very strongly that an eternal "class struggle" existed between always-pure minorities, and always-corrupt majorities. His solution was for every minority to conquer every majority, which is both ridiculous and practically impossible. Most Leftists place two things above all else: appearance and emotion. They'll chant like crazy about "diversity" all the time, but the one thing they despise the most is difference of thought.
She's not speaking in regards to the story itself but rather an offensive joke that black people always die first in movies was ignorantly realized in one of the biggest franchises of all time.
@@germanicelt and you sir are a perfect example of the type of mind that will look past a societal issue such as what grace thoughtfully pointed out in this video.
You needed an explanation as to why the hulk didn't come out? It was pretty straight forward in my mind. Hulk got man handled by Thanos for the first time in the mcu so he's clearly afraid. I thought it was a brave choice to not use the hulk because now for the next movie I think you'll get that dialogue between banner and the hulk where Banner calls out the hulk. Like after Thanos attacked wakanda Banner can be like "when people needed me I showed up. Puny Bruce Banner showed up. What was your excuse?"
It's a massive misdirection the next time hulk fights there's going to be an adaptation of the world breaker. Ever time the hulk has been beaten he always comes back swinging in the next issue. Every avengers movie apart from infinity war the hulk put down the the main villain Loki got wrecked ultron got smashed it's just a matter of time till thanos gets a real hulk fight.
Loki's death scene was so dark and depressing and the music during Vision's death was amazing. The way Peter collapsed on Tony saying "I don't want to go" was so sad. Very emotional movie.
23:30 The Avengers never had a "No Killing" policy. More than half the membership is former military, special forces, assassin's and legendary warriors. They try not to kill when it's unnecessary for the circumstances. Batman, on the other hand, actually does have a No Killing and No Gun's policy, it one of his defining traits. Then BvS happened and we see Batman driving around killing dozens of people with guns.
@@osaomoragbon7852 In the movies, not ONCE did they do say or do that. I mean in Iron Man, the very first movie, they killed a guy. It's never been one of their things.
@@viperswhip agreed but the OP is obviously referring to the mythos. If not then BVS was BVS batman 1st appearance, where would the "no guns, no killing" policy come from?
Supr Gaming Hulk was, for the first time, *afraid*. I was waiting the whole time for Bruce to call him a coward, to make Hulk so mad that he’d come out to prove Bruce wrong.
Wait. Gamora has done nothing other than embarass herself?!? Did you even watch Guardians of the Galaxy 1 or 2? She's obviously a great fighter, super strong (carries while shooting a massive gun from a starship) kills the alien battery eating thing at the start of the 2nd film (on her own!) and doesnt trust Ego, despite everyone else loving him.
I don’t think that Gamora embarrassed herself in Infinity War but it took her a min to realize that she was about to die. I feel very split on that scene where she was killed. She definitely didn’t think that Thanos loved anyone, including herself, so I can understand why she didn’t put 2 and 2 together very quickly after what Red Skull said that she was about to die. Even if Thanos didn’t love her or didn’t think that he loved her, what was stopping him from throwing her over the cliff anyway to see if it would work to his surprise? I’m kind of upset that Gamora told Thanos where the soul stone is because I think that Nebula wouldn’t have wanted her to. Grace is looking at one side of this but it’s truly a mixed bag with the Gamora and Thanos storyline
You’re out of your mind calling Marvel on killing Idris Elba as ‘killing the black character first’ here. It was such a naturally occurring first death and he died as a hero. It was well intentioned and he died as a hero. Literally didn’t even dawn on me that there might be racially driven until you brought it up and I think (and hope) you’re wrong.
I'm with you, I didn't see a 'black' person die, I saw a very sympathetic character that I knew, do something heroic with his final living act to save lives (warn earth) it was a hero moment and tragic to see him go... never once did I think, oh of course he will die, he is 'black'
Joe Hill - agreed. And it was a VERY significant death. He just happened to be black. Loki needed to have his final moment and it worked as a hail mary attempt. Lets keep in mind that Thanos knows every powerful person in their galaxy and he damn sure knew who Heimdall was. The fact that he summoned dark energy from the Allfather AT WILL and teleported Hulk to Earth revealed just how powerful he was and why he had to die right away.
Why is it such a surprise that people like the Trinity/Thor/Cap/Iron-man??? Fans of the Avengers are fans of Cap Iron-man and Thor TOGETHER... fighting threats that no single hero can fight on his own. Why is it even a surprise if people who went to see an Avengers film actually like the Avengers characters???
Multiverse personally I want a scene with all of the original members together 1 last time, remember there is another Avengers movie coming. Everyone still hasn't met each other yet or returned to earth, and we still dont fully know what doctor strange meant. We dont know the full story of the "one way" they could possibly win. I think a few of the major ones will die in part 4, they seeded that cap and Tony weren't talking anymore but didnt really come back to that, and they seeded Tony wanting kids, its alot of unfinished stuff.
I appreciate where you are coming from with the Gamora rant, but the truth is that all deaths further the storylines of other characters. In fact, Vision's death will do much the same thing for Scarlett Witch when she inevitably comes back: his death gets Thanos another stone (just like Gamora) and his death with inform Wanda's character from here on. It is storytelling and not everything has to be a crusade. Ditto on the Heimdall's death. Saying "a black person cannot die first" is not the way to go either...All deaths should serve the story, regardless of the order; and I think it did. Loki could not have died first because his was the more significant death to Thor's arc. I love your videos but please quit making everything a "thing".
Daniel Moore the order and the way directly reflects not just the character, but also the system responsible for casting and storytelling. There are a million ways to write the story, and the producers picked the one they thought would “gel” with audiences the most. Obviously I’m not blind. I do look at the end credits to see who is involved in film production. There is quite a bit of diversity and outside thinking. But screen time does matter, and that is set by whoever is in charge. There is no situation where a character has to die.
It was the first movie that 95% of the audience actually stayed through all of the credits. Everyone had such a good time. This was my best cinema experience i have ever had.
I am following you from past year but I really have to say that this video really seemed anti-marvel to me. I mean in the first 10 minutes there is nothing but criticism. I wanted more open minded video from you side. No offence but this video disappointed me a bit...
Fred-o-saurus I mean it's less of being genius and more of understanding what was going on in the movie people got mad at Peter for hitting Thanos but that was all part of the plan if it wasn't they would have put him to sleep beforehand or Doctor Strange would have stopped him.
I think the end goal was to have Tony stay alive. I dont remember what Dr was doing during that scene but I assume he wasnt just watching him wake up thanos.
Yesss! That's also why Fury disappears. Because Fury was "the glue" that got them together to begin with. They don't even have Fury to bring them back together now. They will have to do so themselves (hence them quoting Fury on the first trailer), AND by overcoming everything that happened on Civil War. It's pretty obvious tbh and it's pretty fair to focus on that at some point on Avengers 4, just to end the "OG Avengers" storyline in a nice way. All in all, if you look back at the first trailer, they kinda hinted at it, the fact that the OG Avengers would be the ones left.
Did they try to make "little" Gamora "attractive? What was "attractive" about her?' She just looked like a little girl...I think you might just be projecting.
Death of Steve Rogers needs to be more of an event than just turning into dust. They're saving that for Avengers 4 for sure. Surely the place we all want to get to is for no-one to care or even notice the race of who gets killed first?
I also think they’re going for the original avengers to be the main protagonists in avengers 4. I’m even hoping for another circle shot, like in the first avengers.
Life in M.E well I'm hoping they do a Circle Shot with everyone but I do think/hope/ and feel like they're setting up for one more circle shot with the music and everything
Gamora was not friged. Being friged means that someone's life is TAKEN away solely to forcefully push the protag to the next level. She was not taken away ... Thanos KILLED HER by his own choice to carry on with his plans just as he wanted. He wasn't happy about it but he had all the choice in the matter sooo she was not taken away from him by some outside force. Also I feel like Gamora vs Thanos fight and her fight in GOTG2 was to show why she's the most deadly woman in the galaxy.
Exavier Ford being “friged” in this context means a female character was killed off in service of a male character’s story/characterization. It’s a clear-cut example of women in refrigerators if you ask me. Gamora is killed off to further Thanos’ story/characterization, as well as Peter Quill.
Interesting discussion here. I don’t read comics so I’ve never even heard of the phrase, “fridged.” Im not upset about it here in his movie since I know that Gamora is coming back lol
Curtis006 umm the definition of fridged does not change for the context of the situation. Fridged is based on specific context, killing a female character to further motivation the protagonist to action. You can’t change the definition of a troupe that is literally named after a specific context. Thanos had long made the decision to sacrifice everything for the greater good, even before Gamora. Also he is a villain and as such isn’t subject to the fridged troupe unless someone else does it. As for Quill you would have a point if not for most of the film he has no clue as to what happened. Damsel troupe maybe, but fridged would mean the extra motivation guided him to victory over the primary threat, which it didn’t, in fact it screwed everything up and the fact that quill is also dead now means he is clearly not the protagonist of this story, but rather Thor, Cap and Iron man.
The gamora death scene was just so so sad to me and I love how it was done, maybe it was “fridged” but let’s be honest Thanos killing his daughter to get the soul stone while tears run down his face is just amazing to behold loved every second of it and wouldn’t change it
It was a beautiful set-up, but the actual death sank it for me. It looked like a father pulling a crying child out of a toy shop because they wouldn't buy them something. Such an undignified way out for the "deadliest woman in the galaxy."
Was it just me or did the ground she landed on look like it was covered in splat marks from other bodies hitting it? Like dust outlines of other people having been dumped down there. I wonder if that's a sign that there's some deeper mystery to the soul stone.
I agree with most of it but i did love the Gamora scene as it showed that Thanos had love and it showed emotional side to him, so he isn't just one of those pointless villains that does evil stuff randomly.
28:31 Batman not killing people is one of his biggest rules and does impact the story telling and impact his character over all. But people like captain america, black widow, falcon, thor, black panther, etc, are all warriors/fighters. captain america fought in wwii, it would be more weird if they didnt kill. Also, you do have characters like wonder woman who does indeed kill people. or at least, that is my opinion.
grace i understand what you're saying about Peter Quill screwing up the plan. But, that's Marvel strength; character's emotional weakness. It happened with Tony when Bucky killed his Mum there's so many more examples. Peter Quill ruining the plan due to his anger is completely in character.
I also wanted to be angry with starlord but i just cant for your reasons and because Dr. Strange saw so many timelines and only 1 out 14 million or something like that had them winning...soooo thats a rrreeaaalllly low chance and i highly doubt that them taking off the gauntlet would have made them win....or strange would have let it happen.
HarpoSpoke They will come back. Only Heimdall, Loki, Gamora and Vision are really dead. That is enough, but I was disappointed because I thought a main character would die (Loki's death was in a movie clip).
Vision is not permadead. Mark my words. Like Adam Warlock in the original comics, Vision's essence is stored in his stone. Banner even says that all the elements that went into his creation are tangled up together.
Yeah, I think that she was too busy paying attention to skin color and gender to realize that the movie is called "Avengers" Infinity War, not "MCU" Infinity War. The fact that they balanced so many characters outside of the main team was for the benefit of the fans.
When Spider-Man was dying, did anyone else think, "I don't want to die, I don't want to go!" as a "I just got here! Don't let them reboot me again!" lol
Grave stop knitpicking I'm a die hard comics fan more on DC side but watched all marvel films and waited for this for years and it's amazing only thing bad is it wasnt long enough
I've watched a ton of reviews since seeing this movie and you are literally the only one who had a hissy fit about the first person to die being black.....
God I love you Grace but the Gamora stuff, The Batman stuff and the black person dying first comment really made me cringe and almost stop the review...
Sebastian Rivera I guess you’re one of those ppl who has to be comfortable for every thing he watches. Maybe most ppl are like that. But not everyone has the same opinion as you. They shouldn’t have to worry about your opinion colliding with theirs.
@@janeray6532 Yeah, "so"?... "So what?" I hope you mean. They were in AFRICA with only like 6 white people and two non-human-form aliens, surrounded by an entire army of AFRICAN warriors. So, yeah, lots of black people were dusted. So WHAT?! I guess folks should slam Black Panther for all the black-on-black stereotype violence it portrayed, right? Get fucking real, people!
You must be young or new to american movies, It was tradition in the history of Hollywood that the black person always died first in movies that had very few or just 1 black person, do a review of action or sci fi movies from 1960s thru 1990s
@@missesmandarin9990 it was already a joke by the 90's. Watch the movie Canadian bacon. So what if a black character dies first. Is it part of the story? Does it make sense in the story? Yes and yes. Hiw many white characters die first in horror movies? A ton. It's the 21st century
I’m surprised Grace that you didn’t pick up on when dr strange died, he very importantly, compared to when spider man died being scared. Was confident in his death as if from seeing the futures handing over the time stone and letting this happen being letting stark live even though he said he would choose the time stone over Tony’s life was as if it was the only way to win. This for me was the most important part of the film especially as he said. “We’re in the end game now” as if he was playing a game of chess and knew exactly what was going to happen. Come on Grace pick up on the important stuff in the film before criticising it???!!!!!
Was terrible to see Heimdall go, sure he wasn't given as much screen time as he deserved, but despite that he was one of the bigger badasses to come out of the Thor films
I have to disagree with The Last Jedi comparison. There is a total difference between that movie and it's subversive, and Infinity War's. The way The Last Jedi did it, it left you not caring. It was being subversive for the sake of being subversive. There was no weight to any of it. Infinity War on the other hand, is a better movie overall that gave a crap about it's characters. So when the subversive stuff happens, there is a weight to it. When the movie ends with Thanos smiling, everyone wants to see Avengers 4 tomorrow, because everyone behind the scenes did their job and told a good and competent story.
The Alpha Nerd I like The Last Jedi but I agree with you about them being different movies but I can understand Grace’s point of view here because the films are kind of similar yet so different
The Gamora scene was fantastic, take your sjw views out of a comic book film! It wasn’t a woman dying to further a mans plot, it was a father sacrificing his daughter that he loved to further his scheme. It was a very powerful and emotional scene that pushed Thanos character even harder as someone who won’t stop to get what he wants.
None of those Asgardian people had any prominent roles in these films as specific characters or a notable acting career by the actors playing them. They were just background population and the camera didn't really focus on them to begin with.
Yes that is possible and that's one way they can defeat Thanos. After all, why does the 'soul' stone need a Sacrifice to give it to the person? Because the 'stone' part of the soul stone is powered by a soul, like it's an energy or program needed to do what the soul stone allows the person to do.
Exactly i think you have to put it in to prospect that at the end he kind of went in to the soul stone and met young gamora and she was kind of saying to him 'was it worth the love you lost'. Though i must say i got goosebumps when i saw cap near the trains and when thor come down from the bifrost 😍
Upset they didn't even kill for a little bit cap and Tony or thor??!!! Thank God no one has u writing scripts. There is a part 2. If they plan on killing 1,2 or all 3 of them it would lose its punch and emotion. This should throw up flags that 1 of them is done in part 2. Sacrifice. Tony or cap. Tony sacrificing cap or something around that type of story line.
Eru Ilúvatar Thor wasn’t one of my favorite characters until I saw Thor: Ragnarok and Infinity War. I’m pleasantly surprised so idk if I want to be Thor or not. Captain America is my top favorite MCU character just based on The Winter Solider alone with Iron Man right behind so it will hurt to watch the next Avengers film unless they won’t have the balls to kill anyone in the MCU trinity
"I am Groot"
"I am Steve Rogers"
My heart has never been that warmed before

Seems like the only legit line they gave Cap, he seemed like a mute character for the little screen time he had. :'(

That was good. I got a good laugh at that line.
Exactly
Grace, I don't think it's that hard to figure out why the hulk wouldn't come out. He feared for his life, for the first time ever.
Yeah I dont think that was hard to pick up on, not sure how she missed it. While understanding that I hope we see more hulk in part two.
Exactly. Lol. I don’t even read comics and I figured that out. 😂😂
Mark ruffalo said before the mpvie that hulk was afraid of thanos
stvbrsn exactly lol it was so easy to figure out why he wouldn't come out, he was scared
Shes killing me 🤦♂️
I think the real problem is you seeing it as “killing a black character first”. Instead of just “a character”. Maybe Marvel is the one lookin past the skin color
Tony Pantoja True
Who fucking cares. This movie depicted billions of people dying but an alien of black skin color (as if that fucking matters in Asgard) died first, so that's where you draw the line?
Reshun Harris a lot of black people died in the black panther movie, why do you care now? What a bunch of morons.
NITPICKING at its FINEST
True, me and my brother we're talking. I was just going, "It's funny how the only people who get mad about stupid crap isn't even black people." Cause, no one in my family, or any of my friends even thought of that being a thing in Infinity war till we started reading reviews. People bringing up race issues in places where there isn't even a issue.
I’m black. And I had absolutely no issue when Heimdall died first. He had a heroic sendoff sending Hulk to earth to warn everyone of Thanos’ coming in his last act.
It is ridiculous that people are obsessing over race in this movie. Heimdall's sacrifice was great.
That's not her point at all. She's saying it's a trope that other movies get shit for, but Marvel gets away with.
Alex Bernal maybe because Marvel executed the trope properly and not as an eye rolling cliche
vjhicks you're black! Good for you!
vjhicks FORGET HEIMDALL! THEY KILLED BLACK PANTHER
So we’re not gonna talk about how Thor took Groots language as an elective lmao
😂😂😂
😂😂 That was funny!
oscar avila "I AM STEVE RODGER" is the greatest line in the movie
oscar avila I completely forgot about that lol.
I am groot
Why is Grace so surprised that everyone cheered for the 3 main Avengers? Like, those are the most popular characters the past 10 years.
Because it’s time to die the movie has a 86% score on RT for a reason
The Goddamn 2 D stop drinking Kool aid
QkyBoi27 That’s stupid
I don't get that part about "killing". Black Widow not only is a assassin, she already killed people in previous installments. Tony and Thor already killed people in their movies. And if you don't want to say Cap defeated Red Skull's army with out causing the death of single soldier, then he has blood on his hands too. Wich leads to the point: There never was a 'no kill rule' for the avengers. Batman's rule does not apply to . Not even talking about the slight difference between Batman's victims and attacking aliens.
Crimsonraziel Doesn’t Cap literally throw an enemy soldier off of the helicarrier in the first Avengers?
Dustin Steve murders so many people in the First Avenger during WWII.
Rashaun Browne So it's not combat when in the movie Black Widow threatens to kill the aliens that try to kill Vision?
Red Skull was played by Ross Marquand instead of Hugo Weaving. He did a good job, I barely noticed it was a different actor.
Jak Adanz - What do you mean you barely noticed? How did you even notice? I don’t remember fucking anything about that movie, I didn’t even remember the Tesseract was in it!
Tiger Bears I just noticed the German accent wasn't as prominent as when Weaving played the role - here's hoping Red Skull does return!
I straight up just thought they brought back Hugo Weaving for the role, though I thought that they wouldn't be able to do that apparently my original thoughts were right
Only reason I knew was because Hugo weaving said he wasn’t coming back
i knew it was someone else, but didnt detract from the scene in any way
" I can't believe that they killed a black character first " Not treating characters in the best way they serve the story just for their race even if its a " positive " creative decision is still racism. You should stop being hyper sensitive about races and treat each character as human beings.
Yea something is not right about her
Or asgardians beings
Jetrules231 uh, because it’s not about killing the women. You clearly don’t understand “women in fridge” at all
pls stop
I doesn't matter that Heimdall is black and not relevant at all, he sacrificed his life so that Hulk could get back to Earth
DNYL And Hulk did nothing! Actually Hulk did do something: he did take a beating from Thanos!
well hulk didn't do shit but banner on the other hand...
He warned the heroes on Earth that Thanos was coming so they could prepare, which was the entire point of sending him there. And Banner actually kills one of the Black Order by himself.
It matter after black panther is important of that year.
@@djprojectus noob
When I saw Heimdal died, it never crossed my mind that he was black and that he died first. It doesn't really matter. It fit the scene very well.
Grace.... Batmans code is not to kill.... Captain America was in the war, he kills... It's never been a thing that he doesn't do. Black Widow is a assassin..
Hell even tony stark kills a bunch of people in his movies as well
You may not get why they didn't kill Tony, Steve, or Thor BUT I DO!!!!
Andrew Taylor exactly
Yeah spot on, I think. With the help of Captain Marvel, of course
Andrew Taylor iii
I totally agree though I don't think they will kill Thor. RDJ and Cap for sure they are tired of making these films but Chris is still liking it and they just got him right so I think he is done with his own movies but will be like hulk popping up in other people's movies
A.A. V Says you. But who cares what you think 🤷🏾♂️
Grace, we don't see Heimdall as Black. We see him as Asgardian. Your complaint is invalid.
True
Agreed, why we still talk about skin Colors 🙄
were just killing a character, why do you gotta bring that up?
I genuinely had not even noticed that a character of colour died first until this video. I guess I see them as characters rather than races, huh? 😧
DeadExcuses I went crazy when BP showed up
I actually teared up a little when spiderman was fading away and went to Mr.Stark saying he doesnt want to go.
DeadExcuses Yes! That was the only death that emotionally got to me!
simplicitylost The other ones were kind of surprising to me but that was the only one that really got me because they gave him a scene they slowly faded away while the other ones were just surprises.
Red Skull didn’t look like Dr Doom, he looked like Skeletor.
And it was awesome.
Proves that Skeletor can indeed be made in live action.
I thought the exact same thing, I thought it was Skeletor from Masters of the Universe movie.
A black person dying first never occurred to me during the film once until you said it now. Something like this is not an issue until you make it one. Besides a few other people where killed before him, like the entire ship.
Don't forget like half of Xandar
There were a lot of asgardians being stabbed and pricked at way before I even knew heimdal was alive in the movie. Then he got stabbed
That’s why RS didn’t have the stone.. why wouldn’t he use it..
I don’t like how she said there wasn’t any point of red skull being there. He literally has a line saying I was punished for trying to hold a stone so they made me gaurd one forever
Tim Harris agreed man
Also I think they made it pretty obvious that Gamora's soul is in the stone because why else would the child Gamora had shown up to Thanos at the end when he did the finger snap.
Maybe it was the one above all in disguise trying to teach Thanos something.
As usual Grace rants about stuff that don't need to be rant about. I am reminded of why I stopped subbing to her channel because the kind of BS that she spews on her channel makes you roll your eyes.
All of Asgard dies at the start of the film
Grace: why did they kill the black man first
...
Grace: I find it creepy when they try to make children characters look attractive. Good thing they used an ugly child
having a black man get killed by Thanos (a white man) is terrible optics
*Purple Man*
Jayson With a Y [Jayson Markey RUclips Channel] can hardly call him a white man when he’s literally a purple fucking alien
Did anyone see Valkyrie?
Seriously.... that’s bit odd and I didn’t even notice that. I just seen a cool character dying not a black character. But dumb to think about a black dying first. Smh
I think it is going just fine. Particularly without Grace calling out things that have nothing to do with color or gender.
It's an offensive normalization played up as a joke that black people always die first in movies. To see it realized in one of the biggest movie franchises ever is quite oblivious and ignorant.
The reason why the Hulk kept saying “No” was because he was afraid...
Philip Simmonds Thank You👏🏽👏🏽. Thanos Lokied Him... Hulk had been enjoy his gladiator run, plus his is the hulk, he was freaked out. I don't understand why people need everything spelled out when we all know there is another movie.
Kimberly D. What a poor and stupid use of the hulk...
Hulk has always been underused in the MCU
he was not poorly used at all, being the strongest avenger and showing that even he is scared of thanos adds so much to the character of thanos and pushes the story forward, hulk smashing things is cool and all but would get pretty dull after 5 movies of doing the same. good thing you are not writing these movies bruh
He said No to save budget. :p
Spider-Man, by far, was the saddest moment in the movie. Damn it was so sad.
Lee Bays Yea, we know he will come back, but the moment was still sad, I think I cried at this moment.
yeah we all knew he was coming back! but I cried
Lee Bays if we didn’t have any knowledge of contracts, confirmed upcoming films then I’d agree.
Tom Holland and RDJ were so great in that scene.

I think their saving cap and tony in this movie so they get killed in avengers 4 which would be a much more better choice... Also that scene when spider man starts to fade broke my heart

Renars Spons and when she looks at hulkbaster falling to the ground like an idiot 😂😂she killed me 🤣🤣🤣
That woman needs her own movie. Actually I want Okoyeye and black widow movie, when they were fighting together I was just so pumped
Yep 😂😂😂😂
Got to say the line about Starbucks or Olympics cracked me up.
Renars Spons yet they underused the most powerful character they had
Jesus christ Grace, Red Skull didn't love anyone that's why he couldn't pick up the soul stone. He was stuck guarding it.
why the soul stone though? and why Red Skull of all people. Why did Red Skull touching the space stone(tesseract) back in The First Avenger teleport him to the soul stone planet?
Mugdha Mahdi Shams Because the stones are connected?
If Quill hadn't punched Thanos, I think it wouldn't have worked anyway. They wanted us to think it would have at the time, but you need to remember:
- Dr. Strange saw all 14 millions (I think) possible futures, and only one was successful
- Dr. Strange gives Thanos the stone while he made it clear that he would protect it over Stark or Parker life
- Dr. Strange then proceeds to say "it is the only way" to Tony while he is fading away
Those elements makes me guess that Strange knew exactly what he was doing, and letting things go the way they did was the only successful future he foresaw. At first I was like what the hell Stephen, why didn't you prevent Quill from doing this since you saw all those outcomes? Why didn't you use the stone to go back in time? Why did you give the stone? Then his line to Tony made me realise he had to know all along.
Rémi Loupien No shit bro
I feel like he's up to something. Or saw the outcome of how they'd win. The way he surrendered that stone was so weird. There's no emotional connection between strange & tony for him to give it up just like that.
baconx That is obvious. He gave the stone as part of his plan, and not to save Tony.
TRUE!!!!!!
Batman usually fights humans. The Avengers were fighting genocidal aliens. It's different.
ikr
why? who decides which life is more important? If thats the case it doesnt matter that Thanos kills millions and millions of Aliens on other planets, cuz they arent human, so who cares doesnt mean anything, thats sick thinking to me o.o but thats JUST ME!
Tim Terrell Yeah, she's an idiot. It's pretty obvious to anyone with half the brain. The whole arc of Batman is that he doesn't kill. There're no restrictions like that on black widow or cap. Batman in BvS just kill even a driver in a car who's not shooting or attacking him. Was a such a stupid film.
Lt Soul omg that is so true.
Chaz1871 what you’re not gonna do is disrespect Batman’s legacy
The first character dying being black & the Gamora stuff about being a woman to advance Thanos lol people make things outta nothing
I don't really care about that stuff
It's so much garbage *smh*
Exactly... She is so good at exaggerating things out of nothing. 😁
Yeah and she undermined what a badass character Gamora was in the GOTG movies and refused to understand why she didn't think Thanatos was capable of love. She was just nitpicking as usual.
I'm pretty sure Loki died first, then Heimdall
I don’t think you actually review films on their quality but on good business decisssions, fan theories and SJW rights.

Um??? As a black man tell me why is killing a "black character" first cliche? It's a story he's not black he's a character thats fictional damn I thought you was better than that, Why does color matter?
CapCel Games Thats because people of color are sensitive in general !
CapCel Games im black and i didnt even think about that and im glad i didnt think that way.
Moral of the story grace hates the movie, hates marvel and complains alot.....
Tatted Snake Prince she can have an opinion. Stop getting mad because it’s not yours
So sad that you are judging character arcs based on gender or race rather than the actual substance of the story. Even though you wanted Idris Elba to move to DC because of his skin colour...

That hit her like the death of Loki
True! Hypocrisy at its best.

DeadRider135
That's why I unsubbed from her after this review came out.
I was mad seeing black panther disappear but the saddest moment of the entire movie was when spiderman disappeared his reaction nearly made me tear up
Lucky Lucciono seriously! Where did that acting come from? It was heartbreaking.
“I can’t believe they killed a black character first” omfg stop, no one thought it was offensive
frozen six I'm black and agree that's a stretch
It’s a cliche. She clearly wasn’t taking it seriously. Have a laugh, no need to get flustered.
Exactly, doesnt mean someone is black, white, man and woman it gives them plot armour jusy because of their difference
Korg and Meik were killed first.
Hectoruno I did not see it happen therefore it did not happen! Korg is immortal! XD
Grace, your a great reviewer, but not this time. Your perspective is warped by countless rules and nit picks. Let the movie be what it is. Not what you think it should be.
hollowpoint249 where is the room for film criticism at all if you just let the movie be what it is, not what you think it should be?
hollowpoint249 wow so JL couldnt be what it was the movie had flaws just like most team up movies she can nit pick if she wants!
Well considering that art is largely subjective, the only way to critique about the artistic aspect of a movie would be to talk about how you think it should be. There isn't an universal guideline for measuring the artistic quality of a movie, everything is arbitrary.
Naw. People can have their criticisms
He will be back, for sure

Maria L I legit cried at that moment.
Absolutely…Peter kinda grew on Toni which made the whole thing worse!!! Remember the conversation Toni had with Pepper at the beginning? He doesn't need a kid, he can adopt Peter
Oh man I teared up, I felt the same way. He’s the youngest and the purest of heart amongst the avengers.
A pack of teenage girls in my theater were all like "No no no no" the moment it became clear he was going to die.

So much this
It’s because we all saw him as a beloved character and not a colour
Why is everything about race or gender for you? In the story it has nothing to do with that at all.
@@Moviefan2k4 I mean she is a Hollywood insider after all. Aren't they all devout leftists?

@@jblauh01 not really.
Sean Kelley i like that. Think hulk will get payback?
Exactly! The whole time I was waiting for Bruce to call out Hulk as a coward, to make Hulk angry enough to forget his fear and face Thanos.
The actor was short changed most of the time, they wanted more of him and less hulk. To be honest I liked this waaaaay better than hulk.
Banner is gonna morph into world war hulk the moment black widow dies...... Your welcome lol

Then BvS happened and we see Batman driving around killing dozens of people with guns.

yep..hulk clearly had ptsd
Supr Gaming he didn't just get beat down he was litreally at deaths door beelding and shit which I don't think we have really seen before
Supr Gaming Hulk was, for the first time, *afraid*. I was waiting the whole time for Bruce to call him a coward, to make Hulk so mad that he’d come out to prove Bruce wrong.
I gave the movie 9 out of 10
yeah, imagine destroying everything you came across then getting beat the shit out of. Dude got humbled lol
SuperAp0calypse yea but she uses a gun and I thought that was Peter's thing.
;-)
SuperAp0calypse preach!
She didn't go right 😆
I don’t think that Gamora embarrassed herself in Infinity War but it took her a min to realize that she was about to die.
Yeah, the fact that she didn't trust Ego proves she's a badass. Legit.
You obviously don’t understand gamora
yeah i had to stop the review when she started talking about that.
2018 Grace: Disney does not have the guts to kill Tony
2020 Stark: Hold my funeral☠️💀
You’re out of your mind calling Marvel on killing Idris Elba as ‘killing the black character first’ here. It was such a naturally occurring first death and he died as a hero. It was well intentioned and he died as a hero. Literally didn’t even dawn on me that there might be racially driven until you brought it up and I think (and hope) you’re wrong.
Joe Hill No, she's right.
Joe Hill that’s how most false outrage starts. One loser claims “everyone” is angry about something when it’s only a handful of twats on Twitter.
I'm with you, I didn't see a 'black' person die, I saw a very sympathetic character that I knew, do something heroic with his final living act to save lives (warn earth) it was a hero moment and tragic to see him go... never once did I think, oh of course he will die, he is 'black'
Right? Why the hell does the race of whoever gets killed first even matter?
Joe Hill - agreed. And it was a VERY significant death. He just happened to be black. Loki needed to have his final moment and it worked as a hail mary attempt. Lets keep in mind that Thanos knows every powerful person in their galaxy and he damn sure knew who Heimdall was. The fact that he summoned dark energy from the Allfather AT WILL and teleported Hulk to Earth revealed just how powerful he was and why he had to die right away.
"Killed a black character first" I'm black and I didn't care or care to noticed lol.
Exactly.....
Because you do not care much for your people.
Zylon Williams exactly because it’s always some fraud getting mad for you
B.E. P Gooood reasoning, you troll lol.
thought I was the only one
Grace would just love to see one of the top three white male characters go.
Multiverse also black widow, hulk, and Hawkeye is still alive. It was a reason the original 6 survived
It’s not a surprise. Lol Idk why Grace was surprised when people were clapping for these 3 characters. Lol
That's why you dont review movies
It was the first movie that 95% of the audience actually stayed through all of the credits. Everyone had such a good time. This was my best cinema experience i have ever had.
I am following you from past year but I really have to say that this video really seemed anti-marvel to me. I mean in the first 10 minutes there is nothing but criticism. I wanted more open minded video from you side. No offence but this video disappointed me a bit...
Marvel rejected her comics so she still bitter about it
Marvelfreakester man you should see her no-spoiler review where she compares this movie to the last jedi and waits for it to get lashed lol!
I have seen that one. It was not this bad.
I don't agree with her ranking of Infinity war in MCU. For me it at least deserves No. 1 spot. Lol😂
Marvelfreaksters it really doesnt seem like she liked it. If she didnt why doesnt she just say that, we will respect her opinion.
Kayla Ray I agree.
STRANGE KNEW THAT TONY WAS THE ONLY WAY TO HAVE A FUTURE WHERE THEY WIN
and that giving him the time stone was part of the one way to win.
Boy i didnt think of that, you're a genius
Fred-o-saurus I mean it's less of being genius and more of understanding what was going on in the movie people got mad at Peter for hitting Thanos but that was all part of the plan if it wasn't they would have put him to sleep beforehand or Doctor Strange would have stopped him.
I think the end goal was to have Tony stay alive. I dont remember what Dr was doing during that scene but I assume he wasnt just watching him wake up thanos.
I think so too
I thought hulk didn't come out cause he was scared of thanos.
Mr. K Every even Avengers movie, Hulk goes MENTAL. Avengers 2 and 4, Hulk is extremely overpowered.
Anyone catch the reference at the beginning when Loki said “we have a hulk”?
TheSketcher96 yes and the it was in the beginning of the movie to tell us that not going to help this time around.
TheSketcher96 it made me smile, because I knew it was one of Lokis last moments and he was spending them doing the right thing. R.I.P
My only question is, was the hulk in the bathroom when thanos was killing everyone.
TheSketcher96 yeah just about everyone
Yeah, I was like. " Wait didn't Tony...oh!!!" Wham!
You are taking crazy pills. Why in the world would the main avengers cast not be the main characters in avengers 4 when that is ending the story arc.
right this movie was the pre stage
BlackPantherN7 exactly!!!!!!
Did they try to make "little" Gamora "attractive?
What was "attractive" about her?' She just looked like a little girl...I think you might just be projecting.
Eric he's responding to what Grace said, you dummy
she did say that.
People who are accusing of the commenter being a pedophile, didn't even watch the review... He is quoting Grace not putting out his own thoughts...
Eric no, did you watch the video. Grace said this first. And he is questioning her.
No, I'm pretty sure Grace said she THOUGHT they would try to make her attractive, and it's a good thing they didn't.
thats weird Grace. I didnt't see a giant dwarf....I saw the awesome Peter Dinklage.
Ainsworth Brown true lol
Exactly , if she wanted to find a reference she should hav went the Twilight zone route , ala Mickey Rooney ' Lol .
Death of Steve Rogers needs to be more of an event than just turning into dust. They're saving that for Avengers 4 for sure. Surely the place we all want to get to is for no-one to care or even notice the race of who gets killed first?
read again
I also think they’re going for the original avengers to be the main protagonists in avengers 4. I’m even hoping for another circle shot, like in the first avengers.
I don't think Rogers will die in Avengers 4 I think he will get sent back in time to be with Peggy, Iron Man will die though :(
Life in M.E well I'm hoping they do a Circle Shot with everyone but I do think/hope/ and feel like they're setting up for one more circle shot with the music and everything
DrPittenstein don't cap dies from a back hand by thanos though
I don't think I have ever disagreed so spectacularly with an assessment of a movie. Almost every single observation. Wow. *scratches head*
Its almost like everyone has their own personal opinions or something? Crazy
Personal autonomy is an ilusion. All our ideas are copies. They all come from the same place.
Spidermans death, you could feel it in the cinema. I felt seats moving and everything and gasps.
COREY M it made me cry unexpectedly. Tom Holland really delivered
One of the best performances in the movie, you really felt his youth and innocence come out the screen
Well he will be back from the dead for homecoming 2 no need to get sad for him
"death"
that was the only character i cried for.
Grace i cried when I saw cap. I don't know why you don't like him. But he's my favorite. Legitimate tears every time he was on screen. Every time
Really you cried ??? Can't believe .
She hardcore internalized Civil War.
He's quite selfish and hypocritical if you use your brain a little bit.
@@Sodeadrn he is not.. Then why the fuck is he worthy and not your beloved Ironman.. He is more good than Ironman
@@Sodeadrn Not really.
Moist Gnome it has nothing to do with who kills the character. It’s about why the character is killed off, from a writing perspective.
Feminism is cancer
The gamora death scene was just so so sad to me and I love how it was done, maybe it was “fridged” but let’s be honest Thanos killing his daughter to get the soul stone while tears run down his face is just amazing to behold loved every second of it and wouldn’t change it
It was a beautiful set-up, but the actual death sank it for me. It looked like a father pulling a crying child out of a toy shop because they wouldn't buy them something. Such an undignified way out for the "deadliest woman in the galaxy."
It was also why Thanos understood Wanda's pain.
It was the most hard hitting scene for me tbh. To see thanos crying while sacrificing gomora showed how driven his character was
Spider man is really hyper humongust friged
Was it just me or did the ground she landed on look like it was covered in splat marks from other bodies hitting it? Like dust outlines of other people having been dumped down there. I wonder if that's a sign that there's some deeper mystery to the soul stone.
I agree with most of it but i did love the Gamora scene as it showed that Thanos had love and it showed emotional side to him, so he isn't just one of those pointless villains that does evil stuff randomly.
Wild Alex agreed
Yeah, idk what Grace is talking about. It was my favourite part of the movie
28:31
Batman not killing people is one of his biggest rules and does impact the story telling and impact his character over all. But people like captain america, black widow, falcon, thor, black panther, etc, are all warriors/fighters. captain america fought in wwii, it would be more weird if they didnt kill. Also, you do have characters like wonder woman who does indeed kill people.
or at least, that is my opinion.
It's also the same reason Superman doesn't kill. If they killed people, then they are no better than the monsters they're fighting.
grace i understand what you're saying about Peter Quill screwing up the plan. But, that's Marvel strength; character's emotional weakness. It happened with Tony when Bucky killed his Mum there's so many more examples. Peter Quill ruining the plan due to his anger is completely in character.
marvel nephilim Yes, especially when the whole Guardians crew is branded as unprofessional moronic assholes
Broken window Having Thanos win at first also lets him put his guard down to make way for the remaining avengers' attack
Uno Pio de Roda Ooh, you’re probably right! : O
Broken window I thought the same thing.
Wait....Marvel kills half the roster and that's not enough because Cap, Thor, and IM didn't die?
Wow! That's pretty picky.
HarpoSpoke Lol don’t be surprised by this chick. She’s said worst about marvel.
She’s always picky when it comes to marvel
HarpoSpoke
They will come back.
Thor when he uses Stormbreaker and all the lighting pops up deserves a godamn skyscraper poster
I think Hulk said no because he was scared of thanos cause he's never really been over powered before now
@Darragh Foran not really
When Peter (Tom Holland) faded away that scene actually got me crying a little for a sec
Yeah, I started crying (a little) then stopped because I didn't actually care!
Same fam
Yeah me too
All he is is a scared kid who hasn’t lived his life yet, it’s sad but GREAT acting by holland... how the faded will be back but hey still sad as hell
Also what I really wished they had done (totally minor thing but) I would have loved if half the credits went up in ash as they rolled through.
I LOVE how your mind works. That would have been awesome!

Andy Lindsey. Dude too funny
"Don't let Sony take me again"
Yep and Yep and Yep and Yep to above comments
Andy Lindsey ehh nope? He is a perfect peter parker thats not going to happen
I agree, I don't think he'll be replaced any time soon.
Grave stop knitpicking I'm a die hard comics fan more on DC side but watched all marvel films and waited for this for years and it's amazing only thing bad is it wasnt long enough
Why so salty? This isn't a review, this is making up reasons to make it look bad, so this is a clickbait title.
glaze86
This is a clickbait comment for mindless haters. Fuck off!
You too have a nice day :)
it;s not a rant, just a observation
I've watched a ton of reviews since seeing this movie and you are literally the only one who had a hissy fit about the first person to die being black.....
DJ Dresen It's not a hissy fit, fuck twad. It's called a complaint. People make them all the time, like you just did.
Dose that make the avengers a horror movie ????
Was surprised you didn't mention Peters death. That was one of the most emotional scenes; even knowing that it's not permanent.
Reece Ward Peters and Buckys death hurt me the most like I know the will come back but its still sad
BloodDrink107 no they are dead
Tactical Sharkz I won’t say they aren’t dead but peter ain’t dead don’t know where the venom movie is timeline wise but peter is in it
THEKINGBETWEEN that’s Sony’s business and tbh Spider man homecoming is having a sequel next year too
Wanda's death was heartbreaking because she was relieved to die due to how much pain she was in.
Well not only that but after Bucky died (got dusted) about 10 black people died in the next couple seconds before another white person died,so...
Fraser Clements totally agree! People forget the key points in the movie and let’s not forget there is a part 2 to this event!
Fraser Clements my thoughts exactly. Think I need to stop coming here
naah, that's not important. You know what is? Yes, color and gender. Everything else doesn't matter
Man I can’t wait to watch this review!
“I can’t believe they killed a black person first “
Never mind
Was terrible to see Heimdall go, sure he wasn't given as much screen time as he deserved, but despite that he was one of the bigger badasses to come out of the Thor films
Thats literally what I thought
same aushuahsuauhsau
Grace loves BBC
A black person wasn’t killed first some other person died before they killed Edris
I loved Thor calling Rocket "Rabbit!" all the time.
I loved that Rocket let him.
Talk about this bad review🙄
You know, it's super funny how Grace ate nearly all her words after Endgame dropped. Lol...
So true! 😆
It was a very powerful and emotional scene that pushed Thanos character even harder as someone who won’t stop to get what he wants.
sean collis I don’t see how she doesn’t get that from that scene? Her first thought is that, oh they’ve killed off a female character.
She has to make everything either about gender or race or about this imagined conspiracy with Marvel favoritism.
Couldn't agree more
Grace =DC SCHILL she wIll never gIve a Marvel mOvie a decent chance unless it doesn't trigger her.
they literally killed a female character to further a male character’s story……..
The avengers are soldiers and assasins so they can kill when they need to. Batman’s whole thing is that he doesn’t kill.
Lewi Toons unless you count bvs in which he killed alot
And unless you count the comics in which he killed a lot more ;)
Lewi Toons except when Jason Todd is dead and he is a broken man
That's the point, ppl got triggered over BvS because he had a no kill rule, the Avengers don't have that rule so I don't see why she's so salty
Because in the BvS they used Frank Millars comic version of batman. Which was actually my favorite, I like a Batman who is ruthless and kills.
They started the Avengers with Cap,Ironnan, Thor,Widow,Hawkeye,Hulk and they're going to give them a grand send off in the next film.
Actually the Asgardians died first and they were white so...
NinjagoFan 135
Yep, but they were all ethnicities in fact.
None of those Asgardian people had any prominent roles in these films as specific characters or a notable acting career by the actors playing them. They were just background population and the camera didn't really focus on them to begin with.
T8fgzz and after them is is the gate keeper in importance. So it makes sense. Then loki
Loki was first
Heimdall is Asgardian.. But umm, yeah! Lol
Fairly sure the soul stone is Gamoras soul, that’s why Thanos kept interacting with mini Gamora in the shadow realm-meditation scene parts
Joey Morris agreed
I totally agree. I believe gamora will return as the stone in avengers 4
Goosebumps of happiness? Though I've never heard of such a thing.
Technically he wasn't killed first. The Asgardians were....
Khari Cook He is Asgardian
Typical white folks have to claim first..
Rodder Brown if ur talking bout loki , he's not
Neb88 Typical moron who only sees race.
"extras" don't count. lol He was the first named character to die. Not that I had a problem with it.
Joe Tosini true. One of the characters that’s a part of the trinity will die in Avengers 4 and idk which one but will be sad, that’s for sure
Nella J i hope its not thor. It could be cap. Bring back bucky or sam and give one of them the mantle of cap and then make a cap 4 with the new cap
@@earendilthemariner5546 I am so happy that ironman died not cap😏
